Take-out Sake Salmon Sushi & Seared Salmon Sushi
Josiah N.

Great service as always. Usually we dine in but this time we got take out... Everything tasted the same. Best in the High Desert and it's not close. Would never recommended any other place. Gave us a few extra little salmon pieces too

We stopped by on a weekday afternoon. The sushi rolls tasted fresh and had great flavor, but they tended to fall apart as soon as we picked them up, which made eating them a bit annoying. The service was okay, though it took quite a while for the food to come out even though the place wasn't busy. We also felt a bit rushed when the bill was brought while we were still eating. Overall, it was a mixed experience - good flavors, but some issues with execution and timing.

We have been going to this restaurant for a while now. Food is good and prices are reasonable. Past experiences would have me give them a 4 star review. This last visit, food was great as always. Service was really slow. Our server disappeared for a few. Saw the Itamae picking up at dirty tables. Customers on both sides of our table were really ghetto. Left side, they were cursing and their kid dropped a plant pot. Behind us, they were cursing, drunk and loud. I get it, not the restaurant's fault, but it didn't help the mood I was in. Our server finally returned and offered to help every other table except ours. Finally had to call out for her to get some tea. She offered the free apple and peanut butter dessert, which we usually love. This time the apple still had the packing sticker. Server did not return to get our payment and I was tired of hearing the people behind me loudly talking about being dizzy and vomiting. I put our payment with a small tip under the check on the payment tray. I walked it over to the cash register and headed towards the exit. We were at the door when the server yells out in front of the whole restaurant, did we pay. She had the tray in her hand. Of course I told her to look under the check. She did and does say sorry, but the damage is done. The embarrassment can not be taken away with a weak apology.

This is the best sushi in the HD, period. The amount of passion and artistry is apparent in each bite. We've been coming here for close to a DECADE, and have enjoyed the consistency all throughout. 10 STARS

First time we got refused service for being too many people we asked to be seated different tables they still refused to serve us

I was visiting a friend who lives near Apple Valley and happened to stop by this sushi spot on the way home--and what a great find! The interior was super cozy and had a strong local vibe, like a place with lots of regulars. I thought we'd have to wait a while since it was a busy time, but the food came out surprisingly fas! Everything was fresh--from the sashimi to the variety of rolls and even the tempura. My favorites are Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, yellowtail appetizer and crab tempura. The chef also recommended Echigo Koshihikari Beer, a light Japanese beer that was super easy to drink and paired really well with the meal. I'd definitely love to come back if I get the chance. A true local gem!

I ordered takeout today to bring to work. I was totally blown away with the presentation of my dishes. The server was very kind and helpful. The wait was well worth it. The ambiance in the restaurant was tranquil I will definitely have to come dine in.

Mixed seafood salad

Absolutely love this place. Always so good and always so fresh! The only downside to this sushi spot is the pricing. It's very expensive! We are always greeted and treated well here.

Kani Tempura and Ninja roll

The food was delicious. The food artistry by the chef...chef's kiss . Chef sent a complimentary veggie tempura. I ordered the Kani Tempura 10/10....I also had the Ninja roll and Salmon Crunch roll, both 10/10. Each piece was plentiful . My server-Jennifer, was friendly and accommodating!

More photos included from previous visits. Tip: would NOT recommend their teriyaki bowls or similar bowls (even though I haven't tried any of the other bowls before). Their sushi rolls are SO yummy and filling for their price, so I think you'll be kind of wasting your money if you just get their rice bowls. Their udon is pretty yummy and their miso soup is fine, but I really think getting their sushi rolls is definitely the best bang for your buck.

Comp salad was delicious

Great food and great service. Definitely would recommend or family and friends dinner. Large selection of beers, soju and sake. Kids loved the food. Also family friendly. Food pictures speak for themselves. Delicious and fresh.

The spot is smaller than expected but spacious. The server was really friendly and gave us a complimentary salad. Everything was really good especially "the war" roll and the edamame. The miso soup wasn't as flavorful but it was still okay. They also have specials on rolls everyday. Def will be coming back.

The fried veggies were delicious

Unfortunately, this visit felt very different. We arrived around noon, and the restaurant was completely empty. They had several TVs, so I asked if they could put on the World Cup. Our waitress declined, explaining that when games are on, customers tend to stay long after they've finished eating. While I understand that may be their policy, it didn't feel very customer-friendly, especially with no other patrons in the restaurant. I also asked if there was an outlet where I could charge my phone. When we found a nearby table with a wall plug, I asked if we could switch tables since we'd only been served water. The waitress said it would be "too confusing for the system" because our orders had already been placed, despite the restaurant being empty. She did offer to charge my phone from an outlet in the hallway, which I appreciated. I asked if they had a few of our favorite sushi items--things like a Las Vegas roll, Orange Blossom roll, or salmon collar (all very common at sushi restaurants back home in Las Vegas). The response seemed more confused than helpful, and overall the interaction just didn't feel very welcoming. On the positive side, they brought out complimentary shishito peppers and radish as an appetizer, which was a nice touch. My daughter really enjoyed the salmon teriyaki, and we also liked the chicken teriyaki roll. At the end of the meal, we had to flag someone down for our check and for to-go boxes while the staff was busy cleaning tables. We were handed a wet plastic bag to pack up our leftovers, which was an odd way to end the experience. Overall, the food was better than the customer service. We'd still consider stopping again because the food is decent, but we hope the hospitality improves. A more welcoming attitude would go a long way.

This is the latter. Walking into the restaurant, tucked into a strip mall, I was getting ready to fire up the generic alarm. Even if you like Veggie Tales it'll make you kiss Larryboy good bye. Next came the yellow curry--it took me back to my favorite hole-in-the-wall Thai place in NY, and I was in curry heaven. Incredible taste, hearty potatoes and carrots, and a happy tummy. Like I tipped the bowl to drink the last of it. But beware! They play these addictive videos of people making street food on the wall-mounted TV that will make you want to a) buy all the food and b) take a bite out of the screen.
