I actually felt like I found gold when I went to look at this place and was surprised there were no reviews on the web for it. It was the only place I could find in the area that allowed me to rent the space and bring my own catering. The party room is a nice size with a flat screen TV if you want to play a customized DVD for your guest. They have a newly renovated bar area where my husband and his friends were watching the football game (my party was on a Sunday), and they have a beautiful fenced back yard where the kids were playing. If you are having your party on a beautiful Spring or Summer day the yard is a big plus- they even have a flat screen out there where the guys were watching the game too!!!! another great feature this place has is the Internet jukebox with a great sound system that plays any songs you want so you don't have to hire a DJ. Stan the party coordinator/ bartender was the best, he has the best attitude and was so helpful in helping me plan my son's party. All in all my party was a success and I highly recommend this place for birthdays/ baby showers/ bridal showers or any type of party when you want to use your own catering and have your party in a great space. A lot of my guest were telling me what a great place to have a party. I'm sure you will be happy having your party here just like I was.

As a clinical nursing instructor, I have arranged to tour the facility with my nursing students the past 3 semesters. The house itself is architecturally beautiful, having undergone a remarkable transformation a few years ago. Top designers and architects donated time, resources and expertise in creating a 5 star experience. Think lux hotel, an oasis for pediatric patients and their families who require hospitalization at one of the area hospitals. Common rooms themed to comfort children and provide diversion and relief from the impact that their illness has. Amenities for family members include a gym, meditation room, business center, tv and video game rooms and laundry. The themed bedrooms are beyond words. There are also outdoor patios and gardens. There are always volunteer groups home cooking meals and baking daily on premises to feed weary families. The aromas are intoxicating. Ronald McDonald House brings a sense of normalcy and belonging back to those affected by a child's illness. I highly recommend volunteering your time or considering a donation to this worthy organization, and to my fellow pediatric healthcare providers, please consider this resource for families in need!

Those of us who support Jeff understand that extraordinarily few people could undertake this kind of rescue effort under the most dire of circumstances and maintain their sanity. But Jeff emerges intact and more committed than ever to ending the dog-meat trade once and for all. He is made of better stuff, as is his team. Not all heroes wear capes.

I have…read morenothing but praise for all of the staff encountered throughout our adoption process, (which from start to finish took a little more than three months). NDLB is an incredible 501(c) (3) non-profit and their global mission of rescuing dogs and cats from immense suffering and complete abandonment, along with their exceptional care and concern for each survivor (no matter the gravity of each animal's injuries), is nothing short of outstanding. The dog we happened to adopt is a Japanese Akita Inu and happens to go by the name Romeo because he happened to be saved from slaughter on Valentine's Day (on February 14, 2020). The founder of NDLB , Jeff Beri, and his crew actually risked their lives twice to save our dog. Once (due to the strict Covid-19 Restrictions in China at that time and a second time to challenge the people who were about to slaughter him). I personally found all of the NDLB staff I interfaced with during the adoption process very personable and easy to connect with. More importantly, I found the staff demonstrated great care and concern for their animals throughout the adoption process. While waiting for Romeo's freedom flight to New York, we received multiple videos and photo's along with ongoing communication from the NDLB Chinese staff who were with him daily. The New York staff made sure I (along with my husband), understood all the possible challenges that came with adopting a dog from overseas and wanted to make sure we were up for this type of challenge. All I can say is Romeo has completely changed our family's life. Our family over the years has had three dogs. Romeo was our first overseas adoption, by far, he is the most considerate dog we have ever had the pleasure of owning, and is always looking out for our well-being. One last positive has been, over the past months, being able to maintain on going contact with Romeo's team in China, and being able to send photos and videos of him here having all sorts of fun in the USA. (See Romeo enjoying sunbathing below).

We had complete peace of mind knowing she was in such caring and capable hands under Ms. Sammi's guidance. She has learned so much and genuinely enjoys going to school each day. I always looked forward to the weekly projects she proudly brought home, as well as the festive Christmas performances. Ms. Sammi does an exceptional job communicating with parents, often sharing sweet moments and photos that brighten my day. It's clear how much love, attention, and dedication she and her team give to each child. It's hard to believe that three years have already flown by and that my daughter will soon be graduating. I'm confident she is more than ready for pre-K and will continue to thrive. While it's bittersweet that we won't be seeing the wonderful staff at Little Genius every day, I'm sure we'll stay in touch.
