Blake worked on my bow (limb replacement and "tune"). He (Blake) charged me for the warranty repair work, and after his "tune" my bow couldn't group two arrows in the same county. I will NOT be going back to Triple X Archery. I found a bow shop in Puyallup, WA (May's Archery) that does amazing work and the owner is honest and engaging.

Cory has spent a lot of one on one time with me and my husband getting our bows in order, a service that in my opinion is priceless. You cannot find this type of service anywhere else. There's also a techno shoot here and although there usually aren't discounts on products, he charges almost nothing for the services he offers. This place is pure gold. Sportsmans had my bow falling apart and repeatedly recommended shotty parts. Cory won't try to up-sell you on stuff that isn't necessary just to make a few extra bucks. He really values his customers and it shows. His employee Cody is also incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and honest. You can't go wrong here.

A very nice, well kept area to rest and relax if you happened to just miss the ferry. The ferry is great too but I couldn't check in because Yelp has the ferry location somewhere way far away from where it actually is. Couldn't check in on the Oregon side either. I don't know who paid to build this park and who maintains it. Perhaps the Buffington family? I gather they have been an institution on Puget Island for a very long time.

We sit in the "Home Plate Club" so I'll be speaking from that perspective, for the majority of this review. Food will be the first thing I tackle. We have servers that take our order, and then bring us the food, and they're always OUTSTANDING! They're mostly high school kids looking for a summer job before college, and despite that potentially "bad omen" they're kind, hardworking, and care about you and their job. As for the food itself, it's very good. They've got the standard ballpark fare, and they excel at it in my opinion. We also get the food pretty fast. Next up will be the stadium itself. It's very well taken care of, and it's nice to look at. It's nothing too insane, considering it's in a small town with a college league. But for what it is, it's better than some stadiums within a few hour radius...any sports, any you can think of...I'll leave it there, so as not to roast. I don't wanna blaze down that trail. While there is a lot of parking, and seating, if you come DAY OF and it's packed...you may have a hard time finding a parking spot, and getting a ticket. That's not a con, it's a pro. I love when it's packed, because it means they're successful! For non home plate club, seating is perfectly fine. I'm not sure what else I could talk about, aside from the team. I guess I could mention the location, it's easy access. There's also no lines while entering. I think the team is good. I think that's all I have to say. When you come, you get a feel for an entertaining time watching baseball. Great food, very outdoors, just a great summer hang for a group. Oh, reasonably priced food and tickets in my opinion. David Story is used by the Cowlitz Black Bears of the West Coast League (a wooden bat college…read moreleague) as their home field. It's old, somewhat worse for wear but very typical for a small town field. The stadium is part of Lower Columbia College campus. - There are several seating options including general admission and grandstand. Prices are dirt cheap as with all WCL games. GA is bleachers; grandstand comprises individual seats with backs and armrests. We sat in the grandstand which offers a good view of home plate action but the seats are fairly uncomfortable. - Food and drinks are available at the concession area on the third base side. Typical ball park food although they offer Impossible burgers for vegetarians. You can download and use the FanFood app to order stuff instead of waiting in the looooong line. On the first base side, there's a small drink concession that strangely seemed unpopular with fans. - Beer, my go-to beverage, is either domestic cans or possibly one or more craft beer taps. During the game we attended, the tap situation was reduced to just one type of beer, a rather inexcusable thing for a PNW stadium. They have wine and other stuff too, of course. - No water fountains or coolers set out (as they have in some other stadiums). So if you want water, plastic bottles are it. Not a fan of that. - Lots of stadium announcements and they're LOUD. Maybe we were just too close to the speaker. - Great parking right near the stadium entrances. - Restrooms are located on the third base side but there's also some on the first base area outside the stadium. They're in the next building over. That wasn't at all clear to us rookie Story Field visitors and probably could be signed better (or signed at all). - Stadium announcer introduced our team (the Bend Elks) as the Bend Eagles. Hard to forgive that error. All in all, a nice stadium for small town baseball.

We wanted somewhere to walk the dog, eat lunch, use the restrooms, and stretch our legs. There weren't a whole lot of options, but using Google Maps in the car, I was able to find Clatskanie City Park, which is also marked as Copes Park. This wasn't far off route 30, so it was a quick detour for us. You park along the road, and it was easy to find a spot right next to the park. While this park isn't enormous, there was nice green space with picnic tables, and we set up a spot to eat. There is a path and open area, for walking or playing. There is also a small playground. There are also portapotties to use. The park seems well maintained, and a nice place to enjoy.

I absolutely cannot recommend this place enough. My daughter did Donna's parks and rec class at 5…read moreyears old and then again at 6, followed by a full summer of volunteering, although she is quite a bit younger than the "normal" volunteers she has the maturity and pure passion to make up for it and had an amazing experience. The first thing all the kids are taught at Longacre is safety, regardless of age they're taught that the horses are bigger stronger and if not handle properly can lead to injury. I spent almost everyday this summer at the barn with the volunteers and was amazed by how extensive the education they got was, she didn't just teach them about horses, horsemanship and riding but also all the responsibilities that go into horse and barn ownership (definitely not for the faint of heart!). They would clean stalls, feed and water, groom, pick paddocks, clean tack, lunge, lead, ride and cool down. They even did car wash practice for the nexts days car wash fundraiser! The teens she had leading the volunteer program are a huge reason I believe in her methods, they're some of the most respectful and responsible kids I've ever met, and as I've gotten to know her other students over the last 9 months it's the same for all of them. They're also incredibly knowledgeable and taught us all a wealth of information. My daughter is continuing to volunteer and ride at at Longacre and I can't thank Donna and her barn family enough for taking her in and teaching her. We look forward to the many horse crazed years to come! I recommend Longacre to everyone, lessons are awesome but if you're serious about committing to horse ownership someday (especially with kids) the summer volunteering is a jump start into the responsibility of horse ownership without the commitment.
