Everything. Outdated equipment. Hazardous walkways. Lack of concessions. Cleanliness. Non working - gocarts, Lazer tag and mini golf area. Let's start with all the outdated hazardous equipment. I wouldn't let my worst enemy on some of those rides. Then the mini golf area? How hard is it to pick up trash and blow the leaves off the course. All the "shortcut" pipes need a good cleaning. Lost 3 balls on hole 3. The gocarts? Lucky if they have 7 working at any given time. Lazertag. Same. Only 7 players could go at a time. Don't get me started on the concessions. The day after the 4th, a worker said, "sorry, we didn't expect this rush." It was midday on a Saturday. We didn't try the water park and based on how bad everything else is, won't ever give it a go. I look forward to their openings every summer!! I always purchase a seasons pass. Since it was bought out by new owners - the seasons pass price went from $129.00 down to $59.00. When I read about the price drop, all I could think of was that since they've chopped the price down, it will seriously be packed the entire time they are open. I'm so glad that I purchased this anyway because it being overcrowded was completely unfounded. When I arrive, I get a float & enter the lazy river (don't think that's the correct name!) and I just float away - for hours. I have a lower back issue so to be in the water on a float - it takes out all the pressure on my lower back! They play music, they have a snack bar, and the staff is wonderful! You are not allowed to bring in snacks/drinks so just know that upfront. I also love the area where it's really shallow & little children are mostly there. Because they have this huge "pail" that continually fills up w/water. Then they tip the pail to where all the water dumps into the shallow pool. I think a bell rings or something so you have a few seconds to grab your child if you are worried they might get scared/knocked over. I can vouch for what force the pail tips over as far as the water coming out of it. I knew they were about to tip the pail over & it's so much fun plus you really get cooled off. What I did not know - however - was to grab my top because the pail of water comes down really quickly and my top came down with it. After I regrouped, I got out of the water to get my sunscreen when a lifeguard approached me. I was pretty sure he was going to ask me to leave, and that this is a "family" type atmosphere and to please stop terrorizing the children. But he ended up asking me where I had purchased my bracelet. Crisis averted! I love this place so much!!! read more

Well for us Sam's Fun City was a quick trip to let the kids ride the go carts and play laser tag. After 4:30... it's one price for both activities, and it's unlimited. And we were from out of town, with a bunch of kids and they need something fun to do and fast. This fit the bill. So for me it's all good..no more, no less. read more

Unfortunately Sam's fun city is the biggest case of false advertising since the never ending story. I took my son there recently to check out some video games. I would say 1/4 of the games are in operable with broken buttons and the inability to swipe your card and pay for the game. And the ones that do work are almost all completely outdated. No, one thing we did not try with the laser tag which might be really fun I don't know. The other thing we did not try was taking our lives in our hands and jumping on piece of shit carnival rides that are all over the place. But based on the rust in the way they sway in the wind I recommend you steer clear. Go to Fast Eddie's. It's right down the street and it's way better. read more

Rude staff. Young red-head lady named Kaylee. Tried to get help from her and ask a question. She cut me off and said "you can order up front".. 15 minutes later, the same young lady yelled at my children and told them they had to leave because I wasn't wearing a mask. My mask broke after riding your go carts which i spent $34 to ride. You could have just given me a mask or talked to me. Instead you yell at my 4 year old and make her cry. Great customer service. I tried to handle this in person, but once again... The manager and the young redhead were very rude. I have several videos of people in your establishment, not wearing a mask. So I have to ask... Beware of the go cart employees, they are hotshots with ink pens to mark "warnings" on people's wristbands to make park goers mad. My group was accused of spinning out another driver, which then we had to fight our case with the operator to not get kicked off, since we were innocent. Do not expect any lavish luxuries while at the park, it's run down and in disrepair. Also the slick track was closed with no explanation. read more

If I could give a 0 star, I would. My son paid $28+ (in advance online) for a water park with only 2 slides open and limited to no life guards on a Saturday and told him no refunds?!? They might as well close the park if that's all they have available! We're really disappointed with Sam's Splash City, out of all the water rides they boast about, that's all they have? Sam's Splash City should give full refunds since there was NOT a lot of splashing or fun going around! What a joke! read more

I'm writing based on the one experience opportunity I had while I was in town. This was thought to be a good idea as we were a group of 29 and it should have been a blast outdoors with kids, rides and water slids. I will break the review in two parts, the good and the opposite. The park has plenty of seating and room to accommodate large groups. They have rides that specifically caught one of my kids' attention since he is obsessed with elephants. He was entertained and wished he would have stayed there longer, parking is free and staff is friendly and they have a couple of inflatable jumpings things for two types of children ages. On the other hand, they only take cash. That's not usually a problem for since I'm an out of towner and was prepared but that could be a surprise for many. The weather also deteriorated and we we asked about forecast since you don't play with lighting in Florida, they kept referring to that someone is monitoring the radar. It turned out the closed the water side of the park and when we looked at the radar, weather was safe according to various sources. The surprising part of this that it was only bad for about 30 minutes but they sent the staff home, so there was no way to resume the water areas. The disappointing part is that we only enjoyed the place for very little time, lot of money (appx $80) and they didn't build a margin of error to reverse their decision. You kind of feel robbed. We came today and paid $40 for the "Keys to the City" pass, which allows you unlimited access access to the rides, play zone, and attractions. The rides are all old, need some work. Not a huge selection of rides. We also paid $40 in arcade tickets. Four of the games ate our money. They really need to be checking the games to make sure they aren't out of order. The restroom needed attention, and the stalls need to be fixed. The locks don't even work on two of the women's stalls. One of the ladies in our group tried to purchase a beverage, but the computer system was down. Overall, not worth the money. read more

This place was a huge disappointment. Everything seemed dirty and broken down. The rides were outdated, the arcade games were broken down, and not working, and about half the prizes you could win were out of stock. It seemed that most people were going to the waterpark portion of Fun City, which may have been nice. I don't know. Also, if you go with young kids, they may not realize how much the place is junky. We arrived at 7:30 PM to take advantage of cooler summer temperatures. The girls at the register were very eager to help us spend our money, but after that we only saw bored teenagers that were ready to go home. We wanted to play mini golf and ride the go-karts. We were told the go-karts would close at 9. We figured 30 minutes playing mini golf and the rest of the time on the go-karts. There are no directions to the attractions and the mini golf booth was empty. We had to get the balls and clubs from the concession stand inside and then it took us ten minutes to find the course, but because of the lighting we walked past the first hole. For 18 holes of golf there were 9 lights on to play by. When we mentioned this to one of the teens working there and she said "I don't know why they do that. Sorry." We suggested that she should check and see if they could get them on since we were playing and they were still selling tickets to play. She said 'I'll check." Nothing came of it and we ended up plying mostly in the dark. This made walking the course very hazardous since the greens are intentionally made uneven and hilly. Several of us tripped and I nearly twisted an ankle navigating the dark course. It took over an hour to play the course without injuring ourselves and to figure out what hole was next since the hole markers were blank and some holes needed some explaining. When we finally finished their was only fifteen minutes to ride the go-karts and we were told that they weren't starting another race after the one currently running. We went to the desk to get a refund and the girl their suggested the laser tag course. We sent in four kids between 9 and 11 years old, but they had only complaints because of lack of supervision of the older players making excessive physical contact, taking their guns, using foul language, and racial comments. Overall, this place is mismanaged, negligent in supervision and maintenance, and needs many older and more responsible employees. We will not return and we discourage anyone else to waste their money here until they get their act together. read more

Took our 3 kids today and had a fantastic experience! Even our high schooler had fun. We spent all our time outside and were delighted by all of the choices for rides. The staff was very helpful, which was unexpected since there weren't many customers when we first got there. We will definitely be back, and look forward to the water park next summer! read more

Water park side. Expensive. The slides are great and I'm so glad we have this park in Pcola. But it's expensive. Bunch of kids running the place. Usually with an older supervisor who is very easy to find. But kids aren't good at keeping up the supplies in bathroom. Concession stand could be run a lil better. They have storage tubs for your "locker for rent" but you stand in line at concession yo get into it. Both locker and food orders are same line. Burgers are gross but pizza and pretzels are decent. 99.9% of lifeguards are great. The .1% had a girlfriend constantly hanging at his post with him. For the money I spend last month I wish we had gone to another out of town. We paid so much money. Just to be booted out and charged more to come back in for a movie we didn't even watch. read more

Very obvious the two girls at front did not want to be there. One of them starred straight at me while I asked a question and ignored me completely. The 2nd lady was just plain rude with an attitude. We are from out of town so knew nothing about this place. Since the people at the front were no help at all, we had no idea how anything worked or where to pay of how much things cost. We decided to walk around anyways. It looks like one of those amusement parks from 90s horror movies... We arrived there in the afternoon, noticing more then have of the amusement park rides being down, we asked a bunch of questions. We went to the water park side and was told what they offered when I asked. I asked about time, and was never given a direct answer, we were told we had plenty of time, alot of time for everything. It was $37.50 and $10 for a locker. Not an overwhelming amount of stuff, and it's a little run down, but we set out for fun. Spent 1st 30 mins in the kid section for our child, then we started on the bigger slides, and they were fun. I go to ride my 3rd slide of the day, and was told they r closing! There was a sign that said pool closed at 6, it's 430, only hour and a half of being there! We'll turns out I was told wrong, they close at 5 and they actually turned the water off to all the big slides at 430!!!!!! We were not allowed to go on them, even tho there was another 30 mins! It was ridiculous, I was livid, and will NEVER go again, and trying to warn everyone else as well! read more

No AC inside the laser tag room. It's been out for months. Computer screen to pick teams and keep score is down. Long wait to get on rides. Had to find an employee to get on selected rides. Hours on maps say that the hours of operation are 11:00 till 10:00 p.m. but they actually close the 9. No tissue or soap inside of restroom. Customer service was fair could be better read more

Visited this location today, was not please with the up keep of your facility. Upon entry to the grounds we noticed that the sign out on Pensacola Boulevard has grass type fungus looking stuff growing up it, looking all rusty. Once inside the park the amusement park area rides were looking quite rusty as well several of the rides were not up and running. The Splash City needed more inflated tubes available especially during peek hours. The restrooms (ladies) was awful, had a smell upon entry, several stalls (I counted 4) had poop in them, others were just very dirty, that is not a good look especially considering the restroom is housed directly behind one of your eatery spots. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Granted we got a discount we still paid 85.00 dollars for all access bracelets and 10 dollar game cards. Only two rides were open at one time. Out of the 42 games 19 of them worked. Although covid is hindering the amount of personnel, there is no value to your money here. read more

Okay my fiancé and I were brought here by one of his friends who got a bunch of us to go. It was myself, and 5 Marines. We went around 2p on a Saturday. When we first got there we were a little skeptical, from the outside it looked a bit run-down and kinda ghetto. But when we got in we found that well...it was run down haha. Although it is a bit out of date and seemed like it was more for kids and not adults (especially Marines) it was a lot of fun! I am usually very positive about these types of places and try not to judge a book by its cover. This place was a lot of fun. We rode go-carts on the "slick track". The track had baby powder in areas to help you slide around, it was really fun. We also did a game of laser tag. It is a small room but like I said still super fun. They had arcade games and a few small rides. The staff was pretty down to earth and cool. We liked it and would probably go back, good price :) Don't judge it too harshly before you actually take the time to try it out and by that I don't mean walk around and do one thing with a sarcastic mindset, I mean actually give it a chance and it will surprise you. We went on a sunny Saturday afternoon when it wasn't ridiculously hot and were surprised to see that it looked mostly empty. There seemed to be a fair amount of traffic in the water park area, but the arcade and other rides were practically abandoned. We played mini-golf, and what a disappointment! The holes are in disrepair, the water features that weave through them are empty and full of dead leaves and branches. At first, I thought it was just an "oops" but in some places, the junk has been there long enough that there are good sized ferns and vines growing in it. One of the holes (#16, if you're wondering) actually got all 4 of our groups balls stuck in a multilevel hole. When one of our number went to get replacements, the person behind the counter said, "yeah, that happens all the time." One would think that the owners would put a little TLC into the "fun" parts of the park. Right now, it's just a little depressing. read more

They only have a few people working the rides so we constantly had to wait or flag down a staff member to start them. A handful of them you had to be 16 to even ride. Me and my grandma and cousin all went to find something to day as staying in the hotel room was a no go. We got tickets and went. It was a major let down! When we drove up a sign said,"Over 200 rides and waterslides!!" Boy was that so far from the truth! After we hashed out the $100 ( for only 3 people)we went straight to water side. After 2 hours we went to the rides. We talked about going back to the water part and ride the slides. I guess one of the employees seen that we did not have the right band. when we walked to the water slide, an employee said that we did not have the right band.(witch was our mistake, but no one told us) so we hashed out $30 more! Then we went to the bath room and the counters were wet with paint, we did not know there was only a post-it sized note that we did not see till it was two late. The purse that my great aunt had before she passed that was given to my grandma was covered in white paint!! Her phone case was covered in paint, her beach bag was covered in paint! The rides has not been cleaned as when we got off after 2 rides out butt were covered in black stuff! If you see this place in the side of the road, DONT STOP!! Just keep going!!! read more

Sams Fun City is a excellent small water park to visit and fun for everyone. I've come here a few times with my friend when he has his 4 year old and the water slides are awesome and very easy to get around and the lines are usually not long at all to go down. Food is good and the the place has a arcade and amusement park rides so you can pick what ya want to do. Oh yeah compared to other water parks their prices are really cheap. read more

We visited Fun City for an Elementary school trip. All was well until inside, when I asked a young staff member if there was someone available to run lazer tag. He looked at me and said, "er... I don't know..I dont work in here...i work outside." I asked him if he could find out, and he just turned and walked away. I approached a group of managers, in blue shirts, explained what had happened, and they made small talk and walked away; no reassurance this would be handled or that he would be spoken to. How are these kids supposed to learn acceptable work habits if they arent held accountable for their behvaior? Why was my concern blown off and tolerated? Very expensive! The Surf City part requires a fee of $16.99 + tax for "observers or non-swimmers" -- in other words, it's $17 for a parent to go inside the door and sit on a bench to watch children. Infants and toddlers under 24 months of age are same price. The cashier didn't mention it; luckily I was reading the fine print taped on the checkout counter. The special events tickets are limited. We bought tickets for the go-karts specifically, and at no point did the cashier mention an age restriction. When we arrived at the track, the boys were informed that they could not ride. The only other available attraction for this ticket was a very slow moving motorized boat. Needless to say, the boys were very disappointed. On the plus side. Both cash registers were prepared to accept a credit card, so perhaps that has changed. Unless the surf city cashier neglected to mention that, too! read more

Only went to the amusement park side because of how packed the water park was the ticket office for the water park is very small people lapped around the walls waiting to get a ticket all while people are walking in/out of the water park through the small office. It was very crowded and inefficient. The amusement park was very under staffed. read more
