Clean and well-stocked store with a convenient location. I used the Scan & Go feature on the app for an easy out and to skip the check out lines. I picked up candy and supplies for our conference and even made two trips back to the store, plus a stop at the fuel center to gas up on my way out. Your customer service is dog shit. Me and my younger sister went to pick up 40 plastic totes + lids in our mom's Lincoln Navigator. We park in the pickup stall and the guy who comes out is rude, like I get it might not fit but you didn't have to be a bitch about it. He quote on quote said "I mean we can try but I doubt it" and then told us to pull around. We get there back the car up and everything and he mouths off to another worker and said "it's two girls", like are we deadass. We put it all in the car (it fit perfectly bitch) thank you very much for two men that got unsmarted by two teenage girls! We've been life long members but I'm done. The store is clean, organized, well-maintained. Easy checkout, but I mostly use their Scan and Go app. Good employees, helpful. The hours are great. They open for Plus customers at 8 a.m. which makes my day much much easier, as I have commitments on my little farm. I rarely go to Costco just because of the convenience of Sam's early hours. I can buy chicken scratch here, of all things! And if it is not in stock they ship it for free. What I do not like is the narrow parking slots. I often cannot get my cart to the side of my vehicle to unload into my car, without fear of scratching the car in the next spot. Also, no cart wipes available. Also I have been burned by the meat department, once having to toss over $100 in prime steaks because they seemed older than the label designated, smelled, bad color underneath...Also the pork chops are misleading. Scrappy meat deliberately hidden under nice ones on top. Because of these experiences I do not trust the meat department offerings. Last, I buy a LOT of romaine lettuce. Sam's romaine is slightly under the quality of Costco's. I still buy it but I wish it was a tad better quality. A special note for the sushi guy - great sushi! He is there every day, totally visible to the customer, clean, fresh, beautifully crafted. The best sushi in town IMO. Granted, not a full menu like in restaurants, but very fresh. Sometimes when we are in town we just stop by for a quick sushi lunch. read more

Today, we needed our tires changed, and what can I say? The price was right! Their price for 4 SUV tires beat the local tire place and dealership by over $200! The staff was friendly, and we got the tires changed within 2 hours, probably due to lower than normal rush - due to inclement weather. When I want to the order area the lady said that they can't do a sundae because the other lady was cleaning it out and they close at 6 but it was 5:50 and they are required to clean it at 6pm and that's what the lady told me. Didn't have a card and I wasn't on the work account like I should have been. Annoying, but I saved money by going to the Dollar Tree and Kroger instead... We have both a Costco and Sam's club and honestly I like Sam's club better - in large part because of scan and go which means not waiting in long lines to check out. I also use their pharmacy and have actually found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The quality of the products is also good and I feel like there is more consistency in the products being in stock - Costco seems to do a lot of rotating or switching which is cool in some ways but heartbreaking when a beloved product is no longer there read more

I was in this "club" on 12/08 at 0900AM. Two employees (not together) were walking in the store with their masks around their necks; there was no coverage of their mouths or nostrils. They did not correct this. This is a terrible violation of infection control practice at this time that threatens the health of custoemrs and other employees. I left immediatley and we will not return. I have written the corporate office and the store manager, and I have spoken with corporate customer service and asked them to elevate this matter. read more

Another C'ville business where the employees have no idea of good customer service, plus most are snarky and seem to hate their jobs. The pharmacy is inconsistent with staffing, pricing and the fact that those counting out the pills often short the prescription, and unless you count them at check out, you have no means of proving the shortage. The location of this Sam's Club far up 29 is kind of inconvenient unless you live up that way. Other than that, I'm pretty impressed by the selection here. I don't really buy produce and meat here, though I know they have good deals. I do like to look around for any organic snacks, and I was happy to see they had quite a bit last time I was here! What is really great is the large deals they have on things like mattresses and other expensive home goods. We almost bought a mattress here but missed the sale. They have great quality stuff for lower prices, and the membership fee of 40/year is way worth it if you use it even just a few times! read more

I buy the following from here on a regular basis: Gasoline (always 15+ cents cheaper than anywhere around Cville), Eggs ($2 and change for 18), Chicken Breast, Fresh Produce, Frozen Veggies, Utz Snack tubs, Gillette Razor Blades, Degree Deodorant Sticks, Dish Detergent, Sponges, Swiffer refills, Laundry Detergent, Fabric Softener, Paper Plates, and Plasticware. They have good deals on large/commercial items as well. I bought a big screen TV online, which turned out okay. The beds are also a great bargain as well. Annoying pharmacy personnel. I called to see if high dose flu shot was available and was told that it was. Drove there, filled out forms, insurance was billed and then they told me that they had only the regular dose vaccine and that they didn't have the high dose vaccine earlier. The clerk said, "I try never to tell people that we have the high dose so it wasn't me." ??????? WTF? Stupid statement and she did not check to see who is passing incorrect information to customers. No apology either. Top that off with the fact that they had a 45 minute wait and I could have gotten the shot at Walgreen or CVS and had no wait. Watch out! Their sales are a JOKE! Way limited quantity and LIE about inventory. Random price increases ALL the time!! Prices listed on the shelf are NOT always the same as at the register! The same day, we started unloading our groceries onto the belt and a random front end person came over and YELLED at a young employee for allowing us to unload our own groceries! Today - there was a one day phone sale. At 7:30 in the AM, there were 7 people in line ahead of us at the phone Kiosk. I ASKED if the phone we wanted was going to be available if we waited. We were told yes there are "plenty in stock. The employee even asked if we had a color preference. My son waited 45 minutes, then he was told the PHONE was NOT available! LIARS! If they had said that to begin with, fine, but we asked, trusted their word and it was a lie!! I talked with a manager who just didn't really care! Oh well, "When there are 100's of people in line, they can't know everything." Pathetic customer service!! Had a 60 day free membership, so I thought I go try I try out the store. Found something that I wanted and then proceed to check out stands. I had the other wholesale membership so I thought great no long line (boy was I mistaken). The cashier didn't know what she was doing. The customer before had "E Cash", and the cashier didn't know how to use it. After waiting 10 minutes for management, I decided to go to another cashier. When I got to the next register she didn't know how to get my temporary card, so I left my item and the temporary card. Sam's Club, you need to train your cashier better! read more

This Sam's Club is always nice and clean. It is normally well-stocked. The personnel are extremely friendly and welcoming. This particular location allowed my non profit that benefits and assists veterans to have a social in their parking lot, allowing us to have our tents up and catered food. This benefited them because we purchased all of our plates, napkins and utensils from them for this event and everyone then saw how Sam's Club does things for our community. read more

Sams.com is horrible. I ordered a piece of furniture and a month later, it still has not arrived. In contact with Sams.com they gave me several different answers from it was delivered, to it is in transit, to it is in the warehouse, to someone stole it off of the truck. Never the same story twice. I think they make it up as they go along to see what you will believe. Today, I asked for my money back. Sams.com has horrible customer service. I am done with Sams. I love this place. Their bakery is outstanding. I tried the baguette, the Ciabatta and the french bread. All of them taste great with lower prices compared with other supermarkets and bakeries. Besides, their pastries such as apple turnover, mini croissant and creamcheese mini croissant are also on the top level. The only problem is that the size is too big if your family doesn't have too many members. Anyway, you can always find surprises when you visit there. read more

They blamed the weather for a storm that we knew was coming and was the reason we ordered way in advance.
