I couldn't be happier with the work done on my two upstairs showers. The refinishing/reglazing turned them from worn and outdated to looking brand new again. The attention to detail, professionalism, and quality of workmanship were outstanding from start to finish. He arrived on time, kept everything clean and protected during the process, and took the time to explain the work and aftercare instructions. The finished results exceeded my expectations. the showers have a beautiful, smooth finish and look like they were just installed. If you're looking for someone reliable, skilled, and who takes pride in their work, I highly recommend him. I would absolutely use his services again and will be recommending him to family and friends. Thank you Sam ! read more

Sam did an incredible job and transformation for my iron bathtub and surrounding tile shower area with my home located in Oak Park, CA and near Westlake Village of the Los Angeles area. His masking of the non-glazing surrounding areas was precise with no overlap. Hopefully it will remain this way for a few years with the proper care and usage as time will tell. read more

I couldn't be more pleased with Sam's Bathtub Refinishing! From the very first conversation through to the completed job, Sam was phenomenal. He arrived right on time and got straight to work. When he finished, I noticed a couple of small blemishes and pointed them out. Sam was extremely apologetic, immediately took full responsibility, and returned, no questions asked, to make everything perfect. He even insisted on not accepting payment until I was 100% satisfied, though I ended up paying him anyway because the work was so good. The refinishing quality is excellent, and his pricing is very competitive, truly fantastic value for the money. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to hire Sam again if I ever need bathtub refinishing done. Thanks, Sam! read more

Sam did an amazing job refinishing my bathtub. It looks brand new, smooth, clean, and professionally done. He was on time, explained everything clearly, protected the surrounding area, and finished exactly when he said he would. Huge difference compared to before. Great communication and fair pricing. It's been a few months and my tub has some rough spots. It peeled after the first month and he did cone back and he said it was our fault because our faucet was dripping and fixed the peeling. He also said I didn't clean the tub and that's why the tub looked dingy is some areas. But I've had this tub refinished twice before with about 5 years in between so I think I know how to take care of it. And I know what it should look like One thing previous refinishers have told me is that after it's refinished, it's so smooth and shiny, that you'll clean less. That has been true all these years. Not this time. After he did the repair, we put a bowl under the faucet in case there was any dripping. I tried texting him with a picture and he rudely told me I didn't clean it and he felt bad for my husband. After that, I don't want to hear from him. I'll use another refinisher . read more

I was hesitant to hire Sam because of the review that said his quality has gone down, but all reglazers had mixed reviews and he had the fewest negative reviews. I had also read reviews of other companies that mentioned there being overspray left behind on every surface of the bathroom and none of Sam's did, which was one of my deciding factors as well. The final reason I chose Sam was because when you hire Sam you know you're getting Sam. With a bigger company you could be getting whatever random crew is assigned to your house, causing more variability in the outcome and making it harder to rely on reviews (one company I called had 14 crews!). I'm happy to say I'm impressed with his work! Not only do the tub and tiles look amazing but Sam is incredibly friendly, communicative, and was on time. The bathroom was spotless when he left, too, which I really appreciate. His price was in line with several other quotes I got and lower than one company's quote. Sam provided detailed printed instructions for how to take care of the reglazed tub as well. Very happy with both my decision to hire Sam and the quality of his work! Thank you, Sam! read more

Sam came over and was done in about 3 hours! My bathtub looks like brand new, just like he said when he called. No fuss, no muss

Sam did my bathtub 8 years ago and it held up very well over the years. Due to my own mistreatment of the bathtub, it was time to have it refinished again. If it was not for my mistreatment of the tub, Sam's work would have lasted 1-2 more years. Sam was fantastic again. I highly recommend Sam if you are looking to reflinish your bathub. There is a reason why his Yelp rating is so high. Nice person, quality work, and reasonable price. Thank you, Sam! read more

I cannot emphasize enough how pleased our family is with Sam's work. We had an old fiberglass tub/shower unit that was cracked, chipped, and stained. It looked like total garbage. I called Sam, he responded immediately, came over the next day and redid the whole unite. It looks like a brand new bathroom now thanks to his hard work. He is efficient, hard working, and incredibly kind. Five stars! Five stars! He's the best!! read more

Great experience, and very happy that I decided to go with Sam to work his magic on my very old bathtub. He's a real nice guy, upbeat, works hard, and did a great job all around (cleanliness, ventilation, expertise, etc. - and of-course, a beautiful finished product). His price was also very fair (no sneaky charges or requests). Prior to contacting Sam I had reached out to several others, FLAKES (all of them, in one way or another) including postponements then "no shows", and/or someone showing up who's not the one you first spoke with. As other review(s) had mentioned, Sam is Sam, and HE is what/who you get - with his decades of experience. I highly recommend Sam's Bathtub Refinishing, and you'd probably be saving yourself the headache of calling around to others first. (And, NO, I did not get paid to write this review; Sam was just that good.) read more

Sam is the kindest contractor we've experienced with our home in North Hollywood. He responded immediately, he came and did the work the following day, his work was done beautifully, and the price was unbelievably low. Sam is a pro. He arrived on time and got to work immediately. My experience refinishing a bathtub was, as I remember it, a very dirty, dusty job - but Sam wet-sanded, so the space was kept clean and there was hardly any noise. His price was fair and the work is beautiful. Thank you Sam. read more

My husband Steve discovered Sam on Yelp, and got in touch with him to have our upstairs shower cleaned. He came this morning and arrived on time! At first we thought the shower would need resurfacing, but Sam advised that it really just needed a good cleaning, so this saved us a lot of money! He did a quick and excellent job of cleaning all the stains that had been building up over a long time. Sam was so pleasant and friendly, and he really cared about helping us make the best decisions for treating our shower. We highly recommend Sam for your bathtub and shower cleaning projects! Sam to the rescue! I was so relieved to have found Sam's business on Yelp. I booked someone else previously but during the week they were schedule...no replies, no confirmation, nothing. Sam thankfully had availability and did an excellent job! He is kind, honest and great at communicating. I manage a property 2 hours away and he made me feel confident throughout the process. I just had an old tub refinished by Sam and WOW he did such an amazing job! There were a few hurdles and for each one that came up, he had a solution. I found out afterward that he has been doing this work for over 40 years. I'm sure he's encountered every scenario and has a way to make it work. He has a contractor's license and uses special materials that cannot be found at Home Depot or Lowes. Sam is the real deal and on top of it he is the NICEST PERSON. He left me with after-care instructions and warranties his work for 2 years! Very professional, on time, great communication, reasonably priced. It's so rare these days to find people like Sam who are skilled in their craft and care about doing the best possible job they can. I can't recommend him enough! Thank you Sam! read more

TOP NOTCH I needed my bathtub reglazed after the party who flipped my house chose a quick path to use cheap products and create a "freshened" look. The finish peeled and as Sam stripped the tub down, I learned the original state looked superb. Sam was efficient and more importantly, honest without need to up sell. I intended to have the bathtub reglazed and in this case, left the original state. He was recommended to my mother thereafter and by way of his outstanding work, I will continue to recommend him to others. Sam stands by his work-he is communicative, efficient, and honest. I needed a touchup on my bathtub that Sam refinished three years ago. I dropped a metal can of shaving cream and it knicked the finish in a couple of places. Other contractors insisted on wanting to completely refinish the tub when it didn't need it. Sam took care of the issue gratis. I also needed my shower refinished. This required four hours of time just to strip the previous stuff off (not his work) and he spent a total of eight hours on the job. His price was $300 less than A&E (!!!) and the quality of his work and attention to detail are as good as it gets. I can't recommend Sam more highly. read more

Got up this morning to meet with Sam to FIX the bad patchwork and original spray job. Sam stated that there was nothing he could do because he didn't think that he could make me happy. I showed him what didn't make me happy (see pictures) and he told me it wasn't under warranty and I would have to pay. Then advised me that he felt this was quality work that he provided. Trust me. Having someone out twice and ending up with this is far from quality! Who wants a tub re-done that will need it again every 1.5-2 years? Very disappointing and NOT recommended. read more

Sam was quick to respond and easy to communicate with. I just needed a shower/tub to be refinished and he made it very easy.

If you don't choose Sam for your refinishing job, you're making a mistake. About 5 years ago, I had my tub/shower surrounds refinished by someone who is no longer in business, and I'm not surprised why after working with Sam and seeing the difference in quality. My tenants unfortunately managed to create peeling holes in the previous finish, and now that I'm putting my condo up for sale, that needed to be fixed. Not only did Sam come in $125 less per tub/shower surrounds than the original guy I used, he did an exceptional job!!! He let me know that originally the tub was not prepared properly, this is why the peeling started early. He not only fixed the peeling in both tubs, you can't tell where they once were, and the tub/shower surrounds are freaking gleaming white! They're also so smooth I can't believe it. They look brand new. He told me that the finish he used will not yellow, and that it should last at least 10 years. It also only took him 1 day to do both. When I first called him to set up an appointment, I left a voicemail and he called back within 30 minutes. He has followed up and been proactive throughout the entire project. He is also a sincere pleasure to work with, and is probably the nicest person I think I've ever met. After I gave him a check for the work, we spoke a little bit about my condo renovation. I mentioned that painters were coming in the very next day, so he told me to be sure to let them know not to wash their brushes in the tubs, and to put blankets down in the tubs if they need to put ladders in them to reach the walls. That's something I would not have thought of, and I really appreciate his level of detail. He even gave me care instructions with my receipt, which is so awesome. Most people don't know how to care for refinished baths, and he could easily let people ruin them so he could come back to fix them, but he doesn't. He is extremely professional, and I'm happy to be supporting a small business. If I ever need refinishing services again, I'll be giving him a call. read more

A craftsman I would highly recommend!!! I was needing to have an original bathtub (circa 1939) refinished/reglazed as it was definitely showing its age. 1. Sam was very responsive. Within 30 minutes of my initial call he called me back and set up an appointment for the following week. His pricing was very reasonable--great value. 2. Upon his timely arrival he was polite, courteous, respectful, and grateful for the opportunity. 3. He explained the process, how long it would take, and what follow-up care should be maintained. 4. He properly covered and taped off the entire bathroom ensuring there would be no overspray/no random dust floating throughout the house. 5. He completed the project within the stated time, provided a well written receipt, and again was very thankful for being able to do the work. I told him that I was going to write a review and he said that my reaction to his work was the best review he could get. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Sam without hesitation.
