Being a wizard with clippers (reminds me of the guys that cut hair back in the military). For example, a fade is hard to do right, and there isn't any places that can do it. Retro Barbers can! The original guys are still doing cuts, and the younger barbers are trained or in training to do cuts like a barber. The trade of being a barber is being passed along generation to generation, and not being lost to the chain/franchise hair places. They take being a barber seriously. They won't use anything but the old style barber chairs, folding straight razors, warm moist towels for the shave, industrial quality clippers, and they even have some of the old shoulder massagers that barbers commonly used back in the day. And when you go to pay they keep warm chocolate chip cookies waiting for you at the register. It all adds up to service and quality.
