Lee is an expert, quick, and very good at what he does! Highly suggest to anyone needing a walk in or a new regular barber.

Brought my son here for a specific haircut and Mr. Lee delivered. Great price, too! Parking is tricky and the shop itself is kinda frozen in time in 2002 but the haircut and service were solid! read more

What a fascinating place! It's actually easy to find, but tough to get to -- approach from Kipling on 44th street and find parking behind the Ritual Craft building and you'll find a short walk easier than dealing with the mayhem on Wadsworth. I drove all the way from Loveland (over 75 minutes due to the I-25 construction bottlenecks) because several people on Yelp have said Mr. Lee is one of the few people who can properly handle the thick coarse hair on Asian skulls and that he's also the best in Colorado. Once inside, I found three other men waiting and one in the barber chair who happened to be Asian. The shop is somewhat small, with only three chairs. Mr. Lee was the only employee present or working and it looked like the other three people waiting were quite happy to wait their turns. That says a lot about how good he is. So I joined them, biding my time by reading old local newspapers and some gun-oriented magazines. Lee also has a few sports-oriented books and magazines available to read; it's definitely a male-oriented shop, and his price list notes that he only does haircuts for guys. Between customers, Lee took time to brush hair off the chair and a woman (his wife?) appeared from nowhere to sweep the floor and refresh supplies before disappearing again. We who were waiting didn't bother to converse and Mr. Lee didn't waste time chattering with the customers in the chair. In fact, he barely asked any questions when he invited them to take the chair and the repeated "See you next time!" closure told me they were repeat customers -- which suggested to me that he knew them well enough to know what they always liked. To my surprise Mr. Lee didn't chat with me, either, when it was finally my turn to take the chair. I had never been there before and it had been three months (rather than six weeks) since I had last gotten a haircut, but he magically knew exactly what I needed. "Quick trim over the ears." He surmised. It was more of a statement than a question, but he was psychically echoing my instructions to the various barbers I've had over the last thirty years, "Shorten everything." "Uhh...yeah." I confirmed, feeling amazed that he knew, just from a brief glance, exactly how I like my hair styled, "How did you know?" But Mr. Lee didn't answer. He had already turned away to grab the trimmer and attach the right length-limiter, after which he turned it on and set to work. I'll echo whast others have said: Mr. Lee is a master at his craft. As with the men before me, there was no idle chatter, no "Where are you from?" or even "How did you find out about my shop?" I have spent decades repeating to other barbers my specific instructions to avoid the crowns on my head that make my hair stick straight up if the cut is too short. Mr. Lee didn't make a comment about the crowns and didn't cut that area too short, either. He simply knew what to do. When he finished cutting my hair, Mr. Lee strapped a motor onto the back of each hand and gave me a wonderful neck and shoulder massage -- reminiscent of the post-trim massages I was treated to in Japan, thirty years ago. It was luxurious and actually took a knot out of my neck that had been there for days. Mr. Lee wrapped up by vacuuming away the hair on my shoulders and collar, and even trimmed something away on the back of my neck. All of that cost me just over $25 (I'll post a shot of his list) and, since I only had 3 tens, I gave him all of it. I would have tipped him more (I've given 100% tips before for such a great haircut, but those were home visits during COVID lockdowns), but I didn't have it in my wallet. I saw the previous customers tipping him $10 or more for his work. I will definitely be back and I'll tip him very well next time. I just hope they'll be done with the Wadsworth construction by then! read more

Lees Barbershop - I expected to pay $33+ for all that Mr. Lee did for me; I was surprised he charged me only the minimal amount! - Barbers Near Me - Wheat Ridge, Colorado

As they say, "Don't judge a book by its cover." This place doesn't look very attractive but who cares as long as the barber does a great job. And as the other reviews indicate Mr. Lee is a hidden gem of a barber. To be honest, I was a bit ready to have my hair be butchered as you never know but I showed him a picture of what I was hoping for and he got to work. Not too long after, it was a tada moment that was surprisingly close to the picture. And for the price, this place can't be beat. No wonder there was a non stop flow of regulars. Only negative is that I live in L.A. and won't likely be back in the near term. read more

Best haircut I've had in a long time. showed him a picture of what I wanted, he didn't say a word and did exactly what I showed him. Mr. Lee is the best! read more

Lee knows what he is doing. He is a master at what he does and his price is reasonable. As of 2024 it's around $25 for a haircut.

Do yourself a favor and come visit Mr. Lee for a traditional men's haircut you'd expect from an old school barbershop. This is not a millennials Instagram barbershop that charges an outrageous fee and plays this new age wannabe rap. This is a traditional men's barbershop. The haircut was perfect. His attention to detail is unparalleled. Mr. Lee is a master of his craft. The ambience is no thrills and I like it that way. no reservations, walk-ins only. Best part $24 fade. You will leave feeling better about yourself and looking sharp. read more

I've had the awesome pleasure of going to Lee for the last year and am sad to say I will no longer be able to because Im moving. I've been to several barbers of the last decade. Lee has by far been my favorite. He is a fantastic barber for a great price, with a wonderful attention to detail. If you are even remotely in the area, get your hair cut by him. read more

Lee doesn't say much which is great. I like a quiet haircut. He gives a solid hair cut. Nothing to fancy.

I have thick Asian hair and Mr. Lee handled it perfectly. Showed him two photos of what I'd like to replicate, and he did it better than the original person that cut it. You get a comfortable waiting space, a quiet and peaceful cut, a free massage, and credit card is accepted. This has become my new favorite barber shop out of all the ones I've been to. read more

This is a very straight forward barber shop but Mr Lee is something special. The added scalp massage was a pleasant and welcome surprise. This is my go to barber shop. read more

Lee is fantastic! Lee is friendly and humorous when you get to know him. He cuts your hair with patience, skill and care. His extra touch with his massaging hands and vacuuming loose hair from your neck are great touches you don't find at other shops. I am thankful for the work he does. Thanks Lee read more

Great place for a haircut very detail oriented and the neck/head massage and vaccine at end a bonus 20 bucks for haircut

I'm a black man, and the little Asian dude did a great job on my hair. I was skeptical because not many barbers can cut black hair the right way. And yes race does matter. He also did this weird massage that was terrific! I didn't know what to expect, but i was pleasantly surprised. read more

Lees Barbershop - Barbers Near Me - Wheat Ridge, Colorado

I liked this place so much I setup their yelp page and am leaving this review. I actually walked in on accident to be honest. I noticed that the shop was empty so I took the chance. My hair had not been cut in over 6 months and I have very rapid hair growth. I also have a beard that grows out of control quickly. Anyhow, I have seriously never had a better hair cut. He takes his time, and is very good at his craft. He has these massaging hand things, I don't know how to explain it but it really feels good. He has skills with the scissors and the buzzers. He made a lifetime customer out of me on the first trip. I look amazing LOL. Check this guy out. Oh and its best to approach this place heading east on 44th. It is right on the right hand side before Wadsworth. Plenty of parking just couldn't see how to get there very easy. Km. read more

Mr Lee is great. All these 5 star reviews are there for a reason, anything less & they're probably trolling you. Black guy here so it's harder to find a barber that knows how to handle my hair type and he does it w/ease. Haven't been there in months as I've been growing out my hair.. but planning on dropping in today to get a line up & taper. Just leaving a review to boost business since he deserves it. read more

A no nonsense barber with some really great skill. Lee seems to be the only guy in the place but he does a quick and great job with the haircuts. An unexpected surprise was the little massage. She gave me near the end of the haircut. Very difficult to get in with construction on the roads on Wadsworth right now, but worth going. read more

First time visiting and it was an enjoyable experience. Being black, finding a barber is a soul-searching experience. It may sound hyperbolic but it's true. I've been cutting my own hair for 31 years and it is hard to find someone who will do it to your standard. He was professional, fast, yet took his time. Provided a light massage after the haircut to top it off. Well worth the experience for $16. Highly recommended! read more

Love Mr. Lee and his attention to detail. I'm also Asian American so it's quite lovely to find someone who knows Asian hair in Arvada. His head massage routine is also pretty slick and I had never seen that kind of dual wield hand massage device before. Definitely will be back!! read more

Best haircut I've ever gotten. Period. Mr. Lee is a cordial fella and the wait isn't long.

Mr. Lee is awesome. Peaceful, clean, concise haircut. The men's barbershop experience with a Korean twist. Enter the shop, kind smile and invite to the chair. How do you want it cut? Combination of shaver/scissor cut, finish with warm lather at edges, straight edge shave at back if needed. He dances around the chair like a Tai Chi Master to make sure it looks right all around. Then old school after shave. The real finish is sometimes head, upper arm, neck, and upper back massage with old school hand massages. My son was freaked first time, but now looks forward to it. Customer for life. Mr. Lee or no haircut til I have time to come back. Great Value! read more

Lee is a super kind gentleman that is focused on making sure the customer is pleased. Went in for my bf's beard trim; he gave us time, detail, and was straight to the point for a decent price. Cool massage things! Lee is definitely my bf's barber for now on! One man shop, and one great dude. read more

This one-man shop is awesome. Lee clearly has a passion for cutting men's hair. He's a pro with the clippers and is very precise. Friendly to talk to, and if you don't want to talk he's comfortable with it. He gave me a head and shoulders massage afterward with a vibrating handtool, and his prices are the lowest I've seen in the neighborhood. read more

Mr lee did quality work, straight edge razor and head massage to boot ! 10/10 will definitely come back

simple things done well are the best and Lee is the best. Best haircut I have ever had. What an amazing barbershop find in Denver!!!

I stumbled across mr. Lee's Barbershop last year Well visiting Denver and have made it a point to come back this year! This is an amazing old school barber shop what's a gentleman who is the master of his craft. I live in Virginia and was so impressed what's my last haircut that I made it a point to come back the next time I was in Denver. Mr.lee is fastidious, clearly passionate about what he does, and nothing can compare to the head and shoulder massage he throws in with his excellent haircut. Don't miss this opportunity 2 see what an old school haircut is like. read more

Great experience. Takes his time. Pays attention to detail. Includes shoulder massage after haircut. Reasonably priced haircuts.

Can't beat it. Great value with good old-fashioned service like hot lather straight razor trim and head & neck massage.

I would highly recommend Mr. Lee at Lees Barbershop. I showed him some pictures of the haircut I wanted and he nailed it. I've gone to a variety of shops and won't be going elsewhere anymore. The vibrating gloves back and head massage was incredible as well. Very reasonably priced at $14 bucks too. read more

Posting my first review to Yelp just to add to this review! I just moved to the South Arvada area and needed to find a good barber. I am Native American, and I like my hair cut with a short/close fade. (1&4 attachments). I've been told by several people it's difficult because my hair is very straight, thick and coarse. After a couple of mediocre experiences in the area, Lee gave me a perfect fade, first time. I've definitely found my new barber. At $12, you can't afford NOT to try this place if you need and appreciate excellent barber skills. I'd agree with the previous poster. Really, the ONLY way to access easily is via Eastbound 44th Ave right before you get to Wadsworth. There's more parking around the corner that you can access via the same parking lot to the barber shop and Salsa's next door. read more

Great price and the barber takes his time to make sure you are getting exactly what you came for. Barber also goes above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. My go-to barber always, from now on. read more

I have been going to Lee's barber shop exclusively for more than a year. He is efficient and fastidious every time. You can have the usual barbershop chatter if you want, but if you're quiet he's fine just doing his thing. He also gives you a quick shoulder rub, which I haven't seen in other shops. This place is excellent and old school. Get the experience as often as you can; this is a fading craft and not many can do it as well as Lee. read more
