When we got to our room they had gotten the essential oils started that I requested, which definitely helped with the calming vibes. Before leaving the room, they asked us if we had any problem areas or areas we wanted to focus on. If you go, I recommend being really specific and straightforward with what you'd like. We were given ample time to get changed and settled. During the massage, I almost fell asleep I was so relaxed!! They don't talk during the massage except when you turn on your other side and to let you know it's finished at the end. Once it was over I didn't want to get up I was so comfortable!! Too bad napping isn't included. One thing I wished was different was that my masseuse could have massaged harder! Next time I will be more straightforward and ask for that. I also didn't realize they didn't massage feet, but maybe that's because I left my socks on. We had just gotten back from a week long trip in NYC with TONS of walking, so my feet really needed it! We proceeded to try the second door, which looked a little sketchy to say the least, and it led into a corridor. Once we got in this corridor there was another pink door. Next to it were two notes. The first saying "ring door bill" and the second saying "ring door ball". Which I just laughed at and rang the door bell. When I called in to make an appointment for the both of us, they only had one masseuse that performed the cupping so I let my husband have that appointment, and they let me do the hot bamboo instead of cupping. We arrived to our appointment and filled out the necessary paperwork, and were pretty much good to go. I wish I remembered the names of our masseuses but my husband had the male masseuse that does the cupping & a nice lady masseuse. Everything was lovely and wonderful for myself, and my husband was very happy when I saw him when were done. My husband has never had a male masseuse, I was wondering if it would be awkward but he said it wasn't and that is was amazing. He was strong and knew what muscles to work, and my husband said it was the best massage he has every had. My husband paid extra for a deep tissue massage because that is specifically what I prefer. I used to be a massage therapist myself before becoming a stay-at-home mom, so I understand there are different styles and pressure preferences, but this did not feel like deep tissue whatsoever. The pressure stayed extremely light for the entire session and honestly felt more like a light Swedish relaxation massage.
