Everything is made from scratch in the kitchen, which should come as no surprise once you dig in. Everything we had was homey, flavorful, and clearly made with love and intention. Pro tip: do not skip the fruit curry. What a smooth, unique, and flavorsome blend of sweet and savory. I loved everything that was on our table, but this dish was the most memorable. The service? Also phenomenal. Our server was so kind, patient, hospitable, knowledgeable, and empathetic. She was a gem. The setup is also charming, clean, cozy, and welcoming. We were in town visiting from Pocahontas, AR. Stopped in here for dinner and boy am I sure glad we did! I ordered the cordon bleu and the potato skins. My significant other ordered the italian and the steak potato. The manager (I apologize your name started with an M, Malcom I believe!) was one of the nicest, greatest, most professional and friendly individuals we have ever come across. The food was F A N T A S T I C. The restaurant was SO clean. Just an amazing experience. We decided that even though its a 2.5 hour drive, we are going to be coming back for more! They recommended the fruit tea and oh my wow! Thankfully they sell it in a gallon because we had to have more. I have told everyone around that they need to go. We are planning our next trip to Union City just to eat here! Thanks for the great service guys! Keep up the good work. We will be in soon so Thomas can try to beat that challenge ;) read more

Referred by a friend as a new place to eat. He wasn't wrong. What a menu to choose from. Wife and I were amazed. Employees were very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing for the first time. So goo in fact that we went back the very next day. Almost 30 mi drive one way. Would like to see one in our area but until then we will definitely be making Sammies our favorite sandwich shop. read more

Several of us stopped into Sammies for a quick bite. The food was good and most of the staff was OK. There was however a young African American that seemed to be more interested in his phone than the customers. It was after the lunch rush that might be a factor or it's just a sign of the times. Anyway my opinion is that it's rude no matter when or where. read more

It has plenty of tables and chairs for many people. You order at the counter and the servers bring your food to you. The parking can be a tad tricky since the shop shares the lot with many businesses. If ever in Martin, TN, stop by and support this local business. We had a fun time!
