The staff are super friendly. The doctor is thorough and explains everything well. My eyeball scans look like Mars, by the way. The eyeglass selection is pretty good. I did order some prescription sunglasses as well. Maybe next time, I will order a monocle. This a strong recommendation.

Maser Galleries is excellent for framing. We had a page from an old magazine with artwork that…read moremeant a lot to us. Brenda helped us frame it beautifully. She had great ideas that we never would've come up with if we'd tried to design it ourselves. It took four or five days, and the price was very reasonable. When we picked up the framed piece, they had created a pocket in the back and tucked in some information about the magazine (Harper's) explaining its cultural and historical significance. It was very thoughtful and we really appreciated it. While we were in the gallery for framing, we loved looking around at the paintings. They are striking, lovely, and accessibly priced. We visited during the pandemic (December 2020) and were grateful and at ease because of the common-sense precautions they took. Brenda wore a mask the entire time, without mentioning it. She took care to stand back from us as we looked at the framing materials. She propped open the door for air flow.

A pleasant fellow let me look about and we chatted about this and that. The collection here is rather eclectic and spread among many themes - and there's a lot of Pgh sports stuff. I did find two pieces by a Spanish artist. They were a bit overpriced...but he did knock of a some off for the pair and I liked them, so I went ahead and made the purchase. It's all good; the place is worth a look. I hear they do nice framing as well.

Wonderful experience with the staff and Dr. Hunker! I came in for an appointment and after just a minute of waiting was able to get my exam started. I filled out the paperwork ahead of time, which allowed everything to move quickly and smoothly. All of the staff I encountered were so nice - they gave me a free soft case for my glasses to store in my purse and Dr. Hunker was able to get me a pair of new contacts to wear home as well. Dr. Hunker answered all of my questions and explained everything so well. I highly recommend doing the eye photos instead of dilation for a small copay - worth it! He went through all the parts of the back of my eye, which was very cool to see. He took the time to listen and answer my questions with more kindness than I've ever experienced from an eye doctor before. The staff was very helpful, finding the best combo of what insurance covers and the deals they were having, to get me the best price. Can't wait for my new glasses and contacts to arrive!

I would not recommend you purchase from this store in Swickley…read more It's not because we purchased a jacket and we were told it would come in in one week, and almost 2 months later, it still hasn't shown up. It's not that we were promised countless times that the jacket would be here next week, only stop by the store and be told find it still hadn't shown up. The real reason you shouldn't buy from the store is the complete and total lack of concern that was shown by the owner. As you can imagine, we were fairly frustrated with the delay yet we were always kind and respectful. My daughter purchased this jacket and she was so looking forward to wearing it. After almost 30 days I finally asked to speak to the owner. He simply told me that his current supplier no longer carried the jacket, and he was ordering it from another supplier - no remorse, no sense of urgency. He assured me it would arrive with 10 days. Almost a month and two conversations later, still nothing. We finally requested our money back. Don't confuse the owner's complete disregard for customer care with the kindness shown by the people behind the counter. I'm sure they felt embarrassed for the way we have been treated - my daughter excitedly going into the store after school, week after week, only for them to tell her they still didn't have it. I don't like writing such a negative review, but I think that the only way the owner will change his ways is if he suffers a lack of business. Perhaps he will then figure out that treating customers well is important, and others won't go through the same thing we did.
