I moved to Michigan 3 months ago from California. Born in California and so dealing with their…read moremedical system was always a nightmare! I walked into this Drs office today and I was beyond amazed. My appt was at730 and Dr Hammersma came out to get me himself! He sat and went through so much with me that I was beyond blessed to have him as my Dr. The entire staff was so kind and so incredibly nice! I was in and out in a little over an hour! Back in California it would have been 3 hours minimum! I am so appreciative of the care and concern I was shown today! Thank you to Dr Hammersma and his wonderful staff! I could not be happier!

The new doctors do not treat…read morethe patient, they blindly follow the system so they don't have to think or go out of their comfort zone. They will only do the bare minimum for you, if that. This is not a place that will "care" for you. They will talk down to you, use you and provide no explanation other than "because I said so". Her depth of knowledge on many different medical related areas is astounding. Equally important to me is the fact that she has a great way of dealing with her patients. She is always willing to take the time to first listen to me and even consider what I feel is the proper diagnosis. However, where she excels is she doesn't just say, no you are wrong I'm going to prescribe this instead of what you want. What she does is she listens to what I have to say and almost every time she patiently explains that while she can see why I think what I think, but in her years of training what the symptoms actually indicate is something different than what seemed obvious to me. In the end every single time she has been dead on in her diagnosis of my ailment. If you're looking for a doctor who is the perfect package of what a doctor should be then look no further than this fine physician because as a doctor she is the total package. I'm praying that she continues to practice medicine until I die someday because I know I will not be able to find another doctor to fill her mighty big shoes.
