This company's name is totally misleading. NOTHING gets done the same day, especially if they come to you. It took a week to get someone to come out and the windshield was not the same as the original on my 1 year old car. It took another week to get a tech out to calibrate the unit at the top of the windshield that links to the vehicle safety features. 2 weeks later, I found stress fractures at the bottom of the windshield and called Same Day. They came out and the tech tried to claim it was new damage and I would have to file another claim with my insurance. Seems like a total scam. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! read more

Glad I didn't read the reviews before I called! The Orlando operator's number came up as a google ad. I was going to ignore it, but no one else in my area had my glass type in stock. Hurricane is about to hit and a break-in left me windowless. They came in less than an hour. And this poor guy installed it in the rain. Even vacuumed out my car and jumped it since the dome light had been on all night. Lifesavers. read more

Same Day Windshields is a completely misleading name and a flat out lie from my experience and. Same day, how about I scheduled earlier this week for Saturday. Today is Saturday and I set aside a 5 hour window of time only to be called by the installer with the news that the seal was not ordered. At least it's before 9am so my day was not completely ruined sitting and waiting for the call. Then I get a call from dispatch to reschedule my appointment saying that the seal was ordered but was not inspected upon receipt and was only inspected today. Seems like the installer and dispatcher need to get their stories straight. Still, it's early in the morning on Saturday and SAME DAY Windshields can't pull their mistake together to get my windshield repaired today, so I get to wait until next Saturday driving with a badly cracked windshield because as I stated at the beginning of this review, 'same day" was absolutely not my experience. More like Same MONTH Windshields. The plot continues to thicken. I make arrangements to borrow a vehicle to drive so that our windshield can now be replaced on Monday. I call Same Day Windshield and explain they failed their appointment today and I was rescheduled for next Saturday but wanted to change to Monday. The CSR couldn't understand me and kept mentioning same day repair, so I asked to speak with a member of leadership. I was transferred to such a person who told me yet another lie as to what happened with the failed appointment today and then stated that they depend on warehouses that cannot stock every windshield. I asked if I called on a weekday, if they can order in a windshield from the warehouse same day and she said no they could not. So, there you go... A full admission that they cannot usually offer same day service, even though their name is Same Day Windshields. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone and can recommend that you look elsewhere for a company that at least had a shred of honesty. Despicable! I did call the operations manager per the response by the owner to this review. Although it was too late to fix any of the issues reported above, she did apologize, promise to investigate and retrain and expedited my $100 rebate. Unfortunately, a couple weeks after my windshield was replaced we walked out to the car and there was a crack going form the edge to 1/4 way across the window. I know nothing struck the window since I am the only one who drives it. I called for warranty repair and was quickly told their lifetime warranty does not include glass! Ridiculous right? I reach out to the ops manager again before seeking 3rd party assistance. Again, I found out that front-line staff are saying one thing when company policy is supposedly another. I do get the feeling this place operates like insurance companies and tries to get away with whatever they can to help their bottom line. The ops manager did state that most of the time windshields are cracked from damage and not a defect, but that they can easily tell and defects are, in fact, covered. She did offer proactively to order replacement glass and schedule the inspection/replacement. I also ended up e-mailing photos as she said it's pretty obvious to spot damage vs defect and this would help with the determination. My bottom line when dealing with this business. Take screen captures of anything you see online, takes notes during your calls and do not take the word of their front-line staff as they have mislead me every single step of the way. The only person that has been honest with me at this company is the operations manager, who I'm guessing does not often take customer calls. Best of luck in your dealings! read more

Driving on the highway when a rogue rock cracked the windshield clean through. This company was responsive. Thank to their knowledge of Florida insurance laws we got a free windshield replacement without having to pay our deductible or have the insurance rates go up. (TIL A new law in FL passed last year if you have full coverage the insurance company comps a windshield and can't charge a deductible or increase rates). First time using them and I will definitely repeat business if I ever need glass repair or replacements. read more

If I could give them less than one star, I would. It took them THREE DAYS of rescheduling and nonsense to finally get to me. Once they were done, the weather stripping was all screwed up and there's some sort of gum or adhesive all over my roof. I'm not impressed. read more

After noticing a very large crack in my windshield I called Same Day Windshield on Saturday to schedule an appointment on Monday. I provided the operator with my vehicle information and contact number. I was told I would receive a phone call an hour before the technician arrived. The technician DID NOT call to let me know when he was on the way, AND arrived at my house with the WRONG WINDSHIELD. The technician told me he would have to come back the next day with the correct windshield. 30 minutes after the technician left my house the dispatcher called me and said that despite what the technician told me about returning the next day, the earliest they could reschedule was three days later. read more

Came to change back windshield and we had a car parked next to it (not ours-side job). Large dent found in door next to truck. Glass left in yard and all over drive way and bed of truck. Daughter running thru yard (opposite side from house & view) at night slipped in glass and sliced open both hands. called daily for week & 1/2 to hear jessica say she's a supervisor on one call or is looking for a supervisor on another call. joel said he was a supervisor. every day someone said they would review photos and call back. finally on day 9 of calling, they say all issues not their problem. I was told that the tech wouldnt be able to make it on time so i cancelled with them, whilst cancelling the person whom i was speaking with asked me if i was concerned with the cost that their company had inccurred and did i realize that they would now be out of some money. The person I spoke with was concerned with guilt tripping a possible customer. He went on to run his mouth somemore so i kindly stopped him and asked if we were done he said "We sure are done, forever, dont ever call here again" i have never been spoken to like that before by someone who wanted to earn my business or anyone else for that matter. Then the technician who was scheduled to come work on the windshield called me and I explained what had happened then he said hold on a second let me try to get my boss on the phone it's not the same person that you spoke to and while I was talking to him and then the boss I went on to say some more things he said hold on a second and then him and his boss hung up on me. Windshield looks fine, but the guy completely ruined my white interior. Black smudges and full black handprints everywhere. He made no attempts to clean them, and I cannot get the stains out. I called the company and they asked me to send them pictures, and said a manager would call me immediately. Surprise, surprise. No one has called me. This company is a joke. Trust me, USE SOMEONE ELSE. Any company who has employees who claim they have been doing this for 20 years, but don't know enough to put a drop cloth over white interior... should not be in business. The company replaced my windshield and exactly one year later, a large piece of the molding has come apart. It flaps in the wind, is a driving hazard and may impact moisture seeping into my SUV. I called on a Monday and received an appointment for the next following day with a timeframe of 9am-2pm. By 2:30, I called again to let them know that no one has come to my home nor called to confirm that they are on the way. Still no repair. Today is day 5 and the 5th call to this company. Still no one has repaired the molding. This is the most unprofessional and disrespectful waste of my time when I could have been at work. read more
