Traveling daily on the Veterans Expressway has caused 3 windshield cracks in the past 5 years. The first two times I went with someone my insurance company recommended - and had bad experiences with both. This time, I found a company Yelp recommended, went to the them first and got a written quote, then submitted it to my insurance company for approval. My insurance company approved the quote in a day, and by the next week I had the check to cover the entire cost of the replacement. Then I called Mike's to schedule the repair. I had to put a deposit down first, which I was expecting. NOTE: they charge a fee when you pay by credit card, so use check or debit card if you don't want to pay any money out of pocket for the repair. Day of the repair my car was taken back right away while I waited in their small, but clean, waiting room. It took about an hour and half. I loved that at the end I got a report showing all the calibrations were done, and my new windshield passed. I would definitely use Mike's Auto Glass again. read more

I went to Mike's Auto Glass as a recommendation from someone at the Audi of Tampa dealership. They weren't covered by Allstate as a preferred installer, but as someone who had bad results from a national company on a previous car, I decided to go with this shops reputation. I wasn't disappointed. It took a little while to get approval and had to pay $90 out of pocket for the replacement of the windshield but that was because of Allstate. The staff was done quickly and professionally. They had kept good communication through the process and gave me clear instructions on what not to do after the replacement. So far, there has been no leaks or other issues. I'd recommend them and would use them again, even if I had to read more

*IMPORTANT NOTE* - this review is for Mike's Auto Glass on Armenia. There is a facility with a similar name on Florida Avenue and that is NOT the subject of this review. Shameful. Long story short, this shop did a windshield repair on our Jaguar about two years ago. Repair is fine. However, they sued our insurance company (Progressive) for an amount more than double the typical cost of a windshield repair and ultimately prevailed/settled. What should have been no more than an $800 claim settled for $4500. For a windshield. And we all wonder why our auto rates have risen 55% over the past few years? Part of the signatures applied when I dropped off the vehicle was an "assignment of benefits" which essentially gave them the right to extort whatever they want out of my insurance company. My mistake, I did not read this document carefully... I trusted it was typical boilerplate legalese that was part of the transaction. So I take responsibility for that. But the shop... they got about $1800 for the windshield and their attorneys another $2800. What they did then is no longer legal in Florida, so that's helpful. But that's who these guys are and you as a consumer should know. Lots of other options for a basic, commodotized service like windshield repair. read more

My car has been making a loud whistling sound from the windshield. I stopped one place and they moved a piece of molding, but didn't have time to check/repair it. I called Mike's and had an appointment the next morning. The went over the windshield and drove the car trying to replicate the problem with no success. They did not charge me anything. From start to finish it was a very easy process replacing the windshield of my 2019 BMW X3. I had the heads up display & rain sensing windshield which required a special piece of glass. I used Mike's for an insurance covered windshield replacement on a new Audi. I called Mike's and it was a seamless experience. I got passenger side glass of my Mercedes Benz e350 convertible replaced by them. They did a great job installing the glass in less than an hour. I bought the glass from the mercedes dealer as it was dealer only glass. For the installation they only charged me $60 which was way less than mercedes Benz of Tampa and other glass dealers quoted.
