We started with a consultation and then subsequently met twice a month, and she was willing to offer me a non-profit employee rate, as otherwise, I would not have been able to work with her. During our work together, we looked at potential "work baggage" that I did not want to take with me on my journey to my new job, and how to tackle it. She also sent me information in advance to fill out so she was prepared when we met. I would definitely work with Sharon again, and would recommend her to friends and colleagues.

I worked with Sandy in the Summer of 2012 to help me with a career move. It was a difficult time…read morefor me as I was trying to push myself out of situation that was not ideal. I had tried many things, but ultimately meeting and working with Sandy was one of the major turning points in my search. While working with Sandy she was a valuable resource; an objective voice, a sounding board, and most importantly, a guide in my search. While Sandy won't find you a new job or pick your next career, she will put together a process (and make you stick to it) and give you the tools to get you to where you want and need to be. After I did move forward and into a new position, I worked with Sandy, to make sure my uptake and priorities in my new role set me up for success. I can honestly say, not only did Sandy help me in my search, she has helped me become more aware of myself, what works for me, what I need to improve, and what I should try to limit exposure to. I value these items almost as much if not more than the job search help, as this self awareness will not only help me today, but throughout my career! I recommend Sandy Machson to anyone looking for a Career help (whether looking for a change or looking to perform at their peak), as she she is flexible, smart, and caring! (Also don't believe me? Identifying what I enjoy about my work and developing strategies for dealing with the aspects that were uncomfortable for me were crucial in the process of making a decision. I was motivated to take on tasks that were outside my comfort zone but were really important to my professional success. I would wholeheartedly endorse Sandy's services. She was a pleasure to work with.

I cannot rave about Manning enough! I have a very "unique" background, that is hard to fit in the…read morejobs I was applying for, due to a career change because of certain circumstances, leaving me burnt out and depressed in the job application process. I went months and months of applying endlessly, and the only interviews I seem to get were the ones where I had a connection (and I'm not particularly good with networking to begin with, so they were far and few). I searched for 'top recruiters in Boston' and let's just say they all disappointed. I won't mention them by name, but they wasted my time, gave me false hope and had little follow-through on their part, with no contact for months, and I would get pathetic, measly replies after hounding them. After being burnt several times by useless recruiting agencies (you know who you are), I decided that I will try the next one down the list, with no expectations whatsoever. I worked primarily with Dave, and he was so caring and kind, and I finally felt I had my own cheerleader in this dreadful job hunting process. Within a week, he had 3 interviews lined up for me. Within 2.5 weeks, from first contact, I started my new job! I would've started sooner if it weren't for the holidays. They really follow-through, and when they say they're looking for openings for you, they mean it! Before every interview, I had a call with Dave to prep me for what's to come. I didn't even ask for it -- he just did it! They went above and beyond, and they continue to keep in touch with me to make sure all is good in the new place. I met several former Manning candidates in this job and other places I interviewed, and they all have nothing but amazing things to say, and it's no surprise there. I know at this point I am sounding like I get commission for endorsements lol, but the truth is, I was in a difficult spot, mentally, financially, and I would want anyone else in a similar situation to find the same help that I did. Vocational rehabilitation, if you will. Save yourself the frustration, and start with them first.
