Dr. Harte Weiner took my money and I want a full refund for service not rendered. Cons: -No essay editing. She didn't even read the essay ahead of time and in our 2 hours appointment, she pretended she read the essay ahead of time. The reason for this is that when she opened her inbox, my email that was sent to her 5 days prior was still unread in outlook. Then she lied and mentioned how she had read my essay ahead of time and made corrections on my essay, but she left my essay on her laptop. But then her laptop was lost somewhere. What? I can see right there that my email to her in the inbox was unread. Very unprofessional. -So during the 2 hours essay appointment with her, she read my essay for the first time and she had no idea what the content was to discuss it with me. I paid her for 2 hours of time and it is not cheap and this is not the service I was paying for. Avoid this business. If you need your essay edited, don't use this service. Pros: Met with me for 2 hours to collect my money. I could have asked my friend to proof read for me and he would have done more than this editor.

They worked with me to get the personal statement perfect for my applications. I was feeling pretty lost with it and they helped me to focus it better for what admissions departments are looking for. However, as many others have said, you just can't be too careful or get too comfortable in today's economic climate. I would much rather be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. When Yelp offered a free 15 minute session with Timothy, I wanted to give it a try. I've helped others with their resumes in past years, but looking at my own is always so much harder. It really needed a brush-up. Tim's advice was wonderful, clear, and so easy to follow. He provided me with templates that would be more attractive to any potential readers. Over the next few weeks, I plan on using one of the templates to pop my own information in, and have it at the ready "just in case."

To everyone who's looking to revamp or even completely overhaul & reposition their professional resume, New England Resumes will delight you in more ways than one. They bring fresh eyes to your career story, unique perspectives for crafting a compelling message and wisdom of experience at having worked with diverse clients! While Mir is outstanding, of course, - my (particularly complicated) project was primarily worked on by the lovely Betsy Taube. My previous resume was too tightly packed-in, screaming hard to tell my brilliant story...that it not only left others overwhelmed, it left me somewhat confused as to how to best represent my myriad skills, expertise & my future projects. After a comprehensive phone call & detailed to/fro on my resume (and LinkedIn Profile), I knew this collaboration was going to be very powerful & productive as Betsy is somewhat of a "Resume Therapist" or a "Career Storytelling Magician" - she unpacked various parts of my past assignments to help make coherent sense & she found a logical string that brought key themes together in a very easy, readable way! I shared my final resume & LinkedIn profile with close friends and select former coworkers & supervisors for feedback - and every single one of them loved it. It was like wearing a beautiful new dress & feeling clear and confident about my career path, all over again. Thank you Team New England Resumes.

Coming from a no-name international school (not known to the U.S. application dropdown menu), I was hoping that I "had it in me", but at the same time know that I needed to craft the perfect application, most importantly the essays, to stand out. My first call was into Sandy Kreisberg. My second into Scott. I went with Scott, and never regretted it. The results spoke for themselves: 4 applications (all top schools), 3 admissions, including my dream choice: Stanford GSB. Scott knows inside out how to tailor your best and hightest-chance-of-success application package. He continually challenged me to craft the unique and authentic essays that opened the doors to the top MBA programs for me. And as if that all was not already a utopia of awesomeness, Scott helped me secur e a full-ride scholarship from my national government. I mean, give me a break, Scott. When I arrived on campus, GSB's (back then) Dean of Admissions Derrick Bolton took me by the side and told me it was my "What Matters Most To You and Why" essay that made the difference. I honestly look at that essay and I think it's the best piece I have ever written in my life. Would have not been the case without Scott. Beyond essays, Scott is a fountain of wisdom for school selection, general application strategies, resume editing, picking recommenders, and being there for you during the emotional rollercoaster than MBA applications can be. Take my word. I could not think of a better person than Scott to partner up for this journey that can be such a life-changer. Certainly was for me. THANK YOU, SCOTT.

Before hiring them, I spent a significant amount of time researching all of their competitors. I ultimately decided to go with Dissertation Editor two years before I even completed my dissertation -- and that decision says everything about their professionalism, responsiveness, and shared sense of purpose. This was not an easy journey. But Dr. Hockaday was by my side the entire time -- from two years before completion to one year after my defense, guiding me through the publication process as well. I've worked with her for about four years in total, and I can confidently say she is one of the most insightful and supportive professionals I've ever met. When I had doubts, she gave strong, clear guidance -- but always made sure to understand what I wanted first. She respected my direction, listened carefully, and then offered expert advice tailored to my goals. That balance of support and respect made all the difference. As for the editorial work itself -- it's honestly overwhelming how good it is. I often found myself thinking, How do they pay this much attention to detail in a 200-page document?! The precision, consistency, and quality of the edits blew me away. I highly recommend Dissertation Editor. If you're looking for deep expertise, thoughtful collaboration, and results that exceed expectations, trust me -- this is the team you want. I've used them for both editing and publishing, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
