From Mike to Brandon, to my dedicated above and beyond process server, Stuart, I am so overjoyed at the service that we received. I hired the skilled staff at Same Day Process to track down an elusive guy at the courthouse for my fiancé, Oscar M. When he slipped through the cracks, I felt dispirited thinking that was the last opportunity to pin him down and there would be no chance of getting him again. I was wrong. Stuart with his 15+ years of industry expertise, had some tricks up his sleeve and utilized some additional tools to track down the family. I had previously used another process server company who collected my money and provided the very bare minimum in exchange. Just going to the same address that could not be accessed time and time again, each time failing to serve the subject. No additional effort or suggestions. Same Day Process really cared about completing the service. Stuart even reached out to us personally, and made some inquiry and Brandon followed-up directly. In my prior experiences with a different company, I couldn't even speak to the server directly, just kept getting arbitrary messages passed along to me after a day or two of asking questions. I contacted Same Day Process after another company refused new clients. Brandon was so quick to answer questions and help me. I didn't request expedited service and I was sent confirmation it was completed less than a day after sending payment and documents. I received the hard copy of the affidavit in the mail a few days later but only ended up needing the digital one. If I ever have to serve someone in the dc metro area again (I sure hope I don't) I'll be using them again. Excellent customer service, rates comparable to having the local sheriff's office do it, and most importantly, they're reliable. read more

Have used this firm a few times, and did not have any issues, except for the last job. Uploaded a series of documents, and they missed one. Contacted them to send out via postal mail, and they wanted another $75. That is pure greed - after being a repeat customer, they could have sent out the missed document, filled out another POS, charged a nominal fee, and called it a day. This agency is absolutely top notch at serving the impossible! I am in south Florida and needed a very discreet, heavily guarded person in Washington DC served. Same Day Process was able to determine a loose location he would be at and serve him...within a week. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I often have to come on here to give bad reviews, so I'm really happy to offer SDPS a full 5 stars for their service!! It's important to acknowledge superb service, and that's what I got with them. I unfortunately needed to serve 2 different people for my case. The first person was incredibly hard for me to find. I did everything I could to serve them myself, but each attempt didn't check out. SDPS was able to locate them in Oklahoma (I'm in DC) and serve them in days! It was incredible. The second defendant was local and same deal -- excellent service, patience in answering questions, and reliable. You never want to be in a situation where you have to serve someone. But if you do, Same Day Process is definitely the company to help you with serving the other party. I am located pretty much on the other side off the country and they still responded quick and executed the service beyond expected. Really bad service! I am an attorney. I contacted the company and explained that I needed a Court Summons, issued by Fairfax County, served on a party who resided in Waldorf, MD. They charged me $95.00, in advance, a high price, but reasonable considering they had to file the return in Fairfax. They sent me confirmation of service via email, but never filed the return with the court. Over a week later, I received the original Affidavit of Service in the mail with a Post-It note attached saying, "YOU MUST FILE THIS AFFIDAVIT WITH THE COURT". I'm in California, needing to serve a corporate office in Washington, D.C. This corporate defendant has already been served by me TWICE in California, but their attorneys refuse to acknowledge the corporate, as well as employees, are being sued. Fortunately for me, there's YELP. Within one hour of obtaining a Federal Summons for an address in Washington D.C., I was emailing all the documents to Same Day Process Service, then just waited for confirmation that the deed was done. Not an easy service because, low-and-behold, the corporate office told the "server" that ONLY their General Counsel could take service, at ANOTHER location. Without delay, from D.C., I get a call from the "server" and after my authorization, he heads to the other place. Best Monday for me in a long while; the "corporate" was finally "served" and now they won't have ANY excuse that they didn't know that they, too, were being sued. I can't recommend Same Day Process Service enough- professional, thorough, efficient, reliable. Lawsuits are stressful enough without having to chase down someone evading service. LOVE this company! I've used them a handful of times for a couple of cases. I have relatively little experience with how court cases work, and they were very knowledgeable with questions along the way - including paperwork, where they could/could not serve, etc. They also offered me options on alternative services and referred me to companies they work for in case the info we had wasn't accurate and we had to use other methods to track them down (without being pushy about it). Very responsive both via phone and email. Also, I love that it's a flat fee and they go out as many times as necessary (only to that one particular address), which makes it much more worth while than trying to serve via sheriff or trying to get a colleague to serve the defendant. To be fair, I haven't used any other process servers so I don't have much to compare them with. I initially went with them because of their positive reviews, and that they were great with answering all of my questions prior to me sending them paperwork to serve. However, with all the positive experiences I've had with them, I don't see a need to even consider any other company. read more

Without being able to get out and about as I normally would with the Coronavirus lockdown, Mike and his team made it much easier to gather information online. The team at Same Day Process was very responsive and happy to work with me. They were able to provide me with useful information for continuing my investigation. The had access to a bunch of resources that I did not, so they filled in a ton of gaps I was unsure of previously. What I liked about working with them was that they were up front and honest, letting me know what they would do and identifying what they were able to find - and what they were not. It's been two weeks since service was sent to Alexandria division to serve on a residence with no communication on whether it was served, were not home or whatever. It was paid for upfront and service has never took this long with anyone else. No investigation was needed. Don't use them. They never give you an update. They promise 48-72 hours. Excellent! I hired Same Day Process Service in December 2016 to serve a "very resistant" former legal counsel with a defamation action. This party had proven to be very difficult to serve in previous litigation requiring at least one extension in time to serve from the DC Court. I mean, this was a legal professional with over 30 years of litigation - he knew all the tricks to evade service and had made it very difficult to get to him so I was very worried on length of time to serve him. This is a very professional company, extremely fast and responsive, with reasonable prices. I was impressed that they didn't nickle-and-dime you for services. In fact, one of my court filings was free because they only charged me for one filing (despite the fact I needed multiple). I used them for several court filings and two occasions for process serving. One of the occasions required an extra service where they actually wait outside the target's house because we HAD to catch them in-person for my court case to be able to collect back $$. They really went above and beyond - not only did the process server talk to me directly to help formulate the best plan to approach the individual I had to serve, they also responded within and hour of most of my emails, many of which were frantic given the amount of stress I was under and the fact that I had never dealt with the court system before. I contacted Same Day Process on Dec 27th, they didn't try to even serve the papers until January 7th. In the meantime, I received no notifications or updates or even that they were running behind. The only reason I chose them was because of the reviews and when you call, they say they can serve anywhere from 24-48 hours after they get your documents. Well,...I waited over a week and finally, after I called and left a message, they got back over 24 hours later and said they were sending the server over to the location now. The individual I was having served was not answering the door and after the first attempt I received a call from SDP saying a stake out might work better. Well, being a student and tight on cash (not to mention completely disappointed in the service which I did mention to the owner) I simply went over to the location myself to see if I could simply get a neighbor to hand over the papers, and as the owner called me and said the server was just leaving the residence. I did happen to run into her and she was nice enough to talk with me about the best time come by (even though you fill out the best time available on the site). She said she would get to it the 13th or 14th. Well, I called on the 13th and nothing. 14th, same thing. Tuesday I finally get a call saying she tried but no good. Total of 3 attempts were made in a course of almost a month......I didnt even know they were done trying until I received the letter in the mail! I expected much better customer service and communication. Not worth the fees at all! read more

I found the name of this company to be rather ironic. It took me WEEKS to get a document served by them. I asked multiple times about the speed of their process. They assured me that they would get process served "right away". After providing the address for the process, I left confident that they would get the job done. After that it was radio silence. Their communication was non existent. I was the one reaching out to them for status updates. Eventually, I had the documents served by another server. I would not recommend them if you need documents served the same day, next day or next week. read more

Update: The company agreed to send us a discounted invoice as a result of the poor service, so the review should reflect their attempt to make up for the mistake. Very poor service. Simple service upon a government agency and they took nearly a week (Receipt at 12:57pm on 10/30; Served at 10:11am on 11/5) to serve time-sensitive documents. Inexcusable given the discrete location of the agency to be served (which was provided to them). No attempt was made to contact our office to communicate that service would not be timely.
