He did X-rays and saw that my teeth were a mess. Things that couldn't develop in 6 months time since my last visit to Dr. Mooney. I just had 2 crowns put in because of cavities that weren't mentioned to me at any of my previous visits and have already been made aware of more dental work that needs to be done to fix the damage. I am so disappointed with the quality of my care with Dr. Mooney and the disregard for my dental health. I am a compliant patient and would happily proceed with procedures needed for my well being had they been mentioned to me.

From the moment I met him, I absolutely loved him... even though I hated what he had to do! To say I had complete meltdowns before appointments -- even just for a cleaning -- would honestly be an understatement. And yet, here we are 36+ years later, and that alone says everything about how incredible Dr. Meola and his team are. I say team because so many of the staff have been there just as long. It truly feels like family every single time you walk through the door. The care, kindness, consistency, and genuine relationships they build with their patients are something so rare these days. When you pay cash or have private insurance, they treat you like royalty. The moment you switch to MassHealth, the tone completely changes. The warmth disappears, appointments become difficult, and suddenly you're made to feel like a burden instead of a patient. After my father passed away, I missed one appointment -- and even after providing proof of his death, they still charged me $50. When I refused to pay on principle, they decided to "part ways" with my entire family. That says everything about their values. What really turned my stomach was that the staff and even the dentist personally spoke to me about other patients in extremely unprofessional ways -- mocking people's dental problems and making degrading comments about those who couldn't afford certain treatments. That's not just unethical, it's a complete breach of patient trust and privacy. They once pretended they no longer accepted MassHealth, but when I later called to confirm, the receptionist said they absolutely still do. That kind of dishonesty tells you all you need to know about their character. This office built a fortune on loyal patients and referrals, then turned around and disrespected the very people who helped them grow. They value money over integrity, and image over compassion. If you want to be treated with dignity and honesty, go anywhere else. There are plenty of dentists who understand that health care is about people, not profit.

I was with Woburn Family Dental for four years and really loved them at first. The dentist, Dr…read more Saroha, was amazing and went out of her way to deliver friendly, pain-free, tooth-sparing dentistry. I even recommended them to my parents who both signed up. Then weird things started happening. I got billed for work that wasn't performed, they tried to charge me for x-rays clearly covered by my insurance, doubled-down and said I owed them money when I insisted it was covered, and then claimed "they deal with so many insurance plans they can't keep all of them straight" when I finally pulled up the plan myself and showed them. My parents got hit with "lab fees" that their insurance company said should have never been charged under their contract with the dentist. Lots of other "billing errors" that. Once is a mistake, but something was off basically every visit. Oh! And you get a "billing fee" every time their office screws up, which is fun. If I were a conspiracist, I might say that the office is struggling and they're trying to sneak in extras that patients are unlikely to notice. However, it can also be explained by a few bad hiring choices for office administrators. When I left the practice, I called to get a copy of my x-rays for the new dentist. The office assistant sent a collection of THUMBNAILS of the x-rays. Like, tiny grainy pictures for the new dentist. They got angry and insisted that they couldn't get me any other format, and that the files were just really small when exported and that they had never had an issue with it before. After some heated back and forth, the office assistant described the menu she was seeing in the software, I suggested things she could try to export them, she finally exported the images individually as high-resolution jpgs and sent them to me. Seriously, they hired morons. My family and I have left the practice.
