The Reading office is directly across from a pediatricians office . The office is new and very nice inside. The Winchester office is in a nice professional building and was just recently renovated. This afternoon, we had an appointment for our two kids for cleanings and traffic was at a standstill. I called the practice to let them know we would be a little late and no one picked up, so I left a voicemail. When we arrived (15 min late), there was NOT A SINGLE PERSON IN THE WAITING ROOM, but they said they were cancelling both our appointments and would not see us. I am a health care provider at a busy hospital practice myself and I cannot imagine refusing to see my patients under the same circumstances. If PDA's business model relies on scheduling appointments with such a compressed schedule that they can't or won't accommodate any late arrivals (even as a first time event from an established patient and without anyone waiting), they obviously do not care about patients or the service they provide. While it's unlikely to make a dent in their hefty incomes, we won't be returning.

Dr. DiBenedetto has been my mother's dentist for the last 2ish years and it has been great. The…read moredoctor and staff has been warm and welcoming. I have nothing negative to report about this dental practice. But... I want to bring awareness to a situation that happened yesterday in the parking lot of this business on 05/15/2025. I and my sister (both of us are our mother's caregivers and translators) accompanied my mother to her dentist appointment. My sister and mother entered the practice, and I stayed in the car because I was expecting a phone call. I was on the phone when I decided to exit the car because I was hot and needed air. I walked over to Bellino Park, sat and continued on my phone call. My sister came to collect me and go back to the car. If anyone knows Bellino Park. This is not a park that anyone would drive to. Its more of a the city's "green areas." There are better parks to drive to. After about 5 minutes of my sister and I waiting for my mom to come out a tall, large, older Caucasian man approached are car making odd gesture to roll down my window. I cracked to door open as the car was off and said hello. The man said he had been watching us in the park. (yes, watching us) He proceeded to say something about him paying taxes and being and tax paying individual. He proceeded to say something about us being parked where we are. I cut him off before he could say more and said "My mom is in the dentist." He then said, "That all you had to say." I soon found out this was not the case. He walked away or so I thought. This large man comes back to my car 30 seconds later. He does that creepy gesture to roll down the window and says, "You're not lying to me are you?" I point to the dentist office and politely say, " No, my mom is in the dentist." He says, "Ok, Ok" with a smile and walks away. I, my sister and my other sister who lives abroad and is on Facetime with us are all speechless. We're trying to understand who this man is and why he felt need to approach us not once but twice. I wanted to call the non-emergent police line. (and I should have) My sister feels uncomfortable, as do I. She goes into the dentist office. I stay in my car because I didn't want anyone to do anything to my car while I was in Smiles of Winchester. I am alone in my car. Still on the phone. I turn down my auto visor and guess who I see. That large old man. I am in fear for my fucking safety. I get out of the car and walk into the dentist office to collect my sister and mom. As I am walking, he is arms reach from the back of my car, leaning on the railing of the property grinning at me. (Yuck. His intimidation tactic, I guess?) I go continue to go to the receptionist and inquire about that man because at this point he's harassing us. Apparently, he's a landlord/manages the property. Apparently, this man is protective over the parking lot. The receptionist said "he's like that." I go back to the car. Check my camera to make sure he didn't touch my vehicle. My sister and mother come out less that 10 minutes later and I go home. I have worked in Winchester as a nurse for a decade. This is a community I serve and never has this happened to me. If he wanted to know if I was doing business there he could have walked in the dental office and asked. He should have spoken to his tenants and not me. next time this man comes up to talk to me. I will call the police. I don't care if he's a landlord. How do you approach a woman's car three separate times? I don't understand. Why didn't he call the police? I would've rather deal with Winchester PD than a stranger. I am still going to bring my mother to her appointments, but I just want people to be aware of their surroundings and that man. I had no clue who that man was. He could have easily hurt me especially when he was behind my car (watching me) unbeknownst to me. Five stars for smiles of Winchester. Zero for property managment. That man is a certifiable fucking creep and probably prejudice. Stay away from me.

The office was closed, so I requested a call back for today. NO call back, so at about 4:45 today I called and got the recep/admin to discuss what insurance they accept and to determine whether the office might be a match for my wife and I. (Dental insurance can be tricky with percentages, deductibles, maximums, waiting periods, etc and I had several questions about various carriers.) The admin (who I won't name was pleasant enough, but at exactly 5pm (and I mean EXACTLY), she asked to put me on hold and I was disconnected 30 seconds later. I called back within seconds (not minutes), but the nightly voicemail had been activated and no one was picking up. If the disconnect had been an accident and the office doesn't have call back caller ID, I would have hoped she would have waited 60 seconds for MY callback and have picked up the call. If she then said it was closing time and had offered to call me back tomorrow, I would have certainly understood. This is disappointing and appears to be very unprofessional behavior. Maybe they are not fussy for new patients. However if the doctor is in fact seeking new patients, he might think about more vigorous training and accountability at the first point of contact, as he just lost two potential patients. For readers to properly assess this review: I've written a total of four Yelp reviews over the past few years. Three: 5 star reviews and one: 1 star review, so I'm not a chronic complainer. However, I do believe in good manners and customer service. Thank you

I was with Woburn Family Dental for four years and really loved them at first. The dentist, Dr…read more Saroha, was amazing and went out of her way to deliver friendly, pain-free, tooth-sparing dentistry. I even recommended them to my parents who both signed up. Then weird things started happening. I got billed for work that wasn't performed, they tried to charge me for x-rays clearly covered by my insurance, doubled-down and said I owed them money when I insisted it was covered, and then claimed "they deal with so many insurance plans they can't keep all of them straight" when I finally pulled up the plan myself and showed them. My parents got hit with "lab fees" that their insurance company said should have never been charged under their contract with the dentist. Lots of other "billing errors" that. Once is a mistake, but something was off basically every visit. Oh! And you get a "billing fee" every time their office screws up, which is fun. If I were a conspiracist, I might say that the office is struggling and they're trying to sneak in extras that patients are unlikely to notice. However, it can also be explained by a few bad hiring choices for office administrators. When I left the practice, I called to get a copy of my x-rays for the new dentist. The office assistant sent a collection of THUMBNAILS of the x-rays. Like, tiny grainy pictures for the new dentist. They got angry and insisted that they couldn't get me any other format, and that the files were just really small when exported and that they had never had an issue with it before. After some heated back and forth, the office assistant described the menu she was seeing in the software, I suggested things she could try to export them, she finally exported the images individually as high-resolution jpgs and sent them to me. Seriously, they hired morons. My family and I have left the practice.
