And from that moment, I was hooked. I can't remember the last time I've been to a restorative class, because I'm a little obsessed with the power classes. All the instructors (Dallas, Jen, Kathryn, Russell, Jael) and the space is amazing. I used to have an unlimited monthly membership but they are now Kingston's first donation-based yoga centre. The suggested donation is $14 but they really do stress that there is no top or bottom. Check it out - maybe I'll see you there!

However, I was unaware of their SNEAKY practice to continue charging a monthly fee unless you go on line and terminate your contract with them. By the time I caught on to this and wrote 2 emails and called the studio they had already charged me for an additional month and would not consider a refund. This is a very poor practice!

The instructor was kind of "manic-frazzled" and rushed...had a very unsettling vibe. Like many hot yoga studios, she spewed the usual stuff about "sweating out toxins" (what does that even mean???) and insisted on stretching until it hurt. Fine, whatever. The room was waaaaaaay too hot...mid-class it had reached nearly 133 degrees ferenheit, far above the105 degrees that is suggested for Bikram. I noticed several people laying down/feeling awful durng class....not a good sign. Overall, I didn't come away feeling confident that this studio realized the responsibility it has to not only offer hot yoga, but to do so in a safe and controlled environment.

However, I'm thrilled Moksha Kingston is now open! What really impressed me - beyond the gorgeous space, wonderful staff, and lovely studio - is the consistency in the Moksha brand. I felt immediately at home here and it reminded me of all the reasons I loved the Halifax studio. Can't wait to get to more classes!

This place is the most amazing place to get your groove back. Laid back, relaxing, lovely to read a book in front of the big fireplace. Hours of yoga practice In a beautiful yurt just a short walk from the main house. Everything you need for yoga is supplied. Vegetarian meals served. They were amazing! I just wished they would supply the recipes for some of those dishes. All crazy healthy. Would recommend this place to anybody who just needs that detoxing couple of days.

The main house has a kitchen where the staff prep vegetarian meals for you and can accommodate gf as well. They grow a lot of their own produce on site. There are shared rooms in the main house that each have their own bathroom. We were in sawasdee room with a beautiful view of the water. The main floor is set up with a sun room area with dining tables and chairs and some outdoor seating as well. There are cabins and tents as well to stay in. A cute living room with books and a fireplace in the main house and an open area for lounging. There are docks to sit on, hammocks, a couple of tree swings, and you can borrow kayaks or canoes. A bike rental company can bring you bikes if you wish. There is an infrared sauna on site and a large yurt where the yoga takes place and massages are set up. The is a bonfire area and a rock maze on site as well. The water is drinkable but sulphuric and there is a water dispenser in the yurt. Different retreats are available all year.

Great Yoga Studio…read more They focus on ashtanga yoga and follow the series pretty much to the letter. It's a no frills place (it doesn't have the corporation feel that a lot of studios have). The instructors are all wonderful, patient, and extremely knowledgeable! You can tell that they all really love yoga, and are keen to pass on their knowledge. There's a good variety of mysore classes as well as lead classes, and the price is reasonable!
