I got a discount on my electric bill with direct energy. 211 told me call caritas , I called 50 times and finally someone answered. Now they are not paying direct energy. They are paying txu . And a few others . When you talk to management they will not help at all... very strange employees. The manager they used to have was helpful but the one now is no good . They all have bad attitudes..

On September 16th 2024 at 8:31 AM, I called Caritas Waco located at 300 S. 15th St, Waco TX 76701…read moreto ask for utility assistance, Mrs. Debra answered the phone, she immediately asked me if I needed my State Representative to talk with her Supervisor, I replied, No, i informed her that I was capable of talking to her about my issue directly, She then continued to press me about that same original question over and over, as she was very belligerent and irate towards me over the phone, i informed her that she was being very rude and unprofessional when all i wanted was assistance with my utility bill just for this month since I have gotten behind and came up short due to the passing of my brother and at the same time me having to pay for a rent a car to drive to Austin to attend his funeral because my car needed to be repaired and was not going to make the trip there and back to Waco safely, so paying to repair my car paying for a suit and a car rental and the cost of the trip including gas, I was falling behind with my bills and this Month of September and October I will need some assistance.. This Debra person made me feel even worse than I already feel, and after taking down my information for assistance she abruptly hung the phone up in my face... I thought these people were supposed to help you in your time of need and when you are feeling down and already at your lowest point in life, instead now after talking with her I feel even worse and more depressed, i ask you all to please pray for me so that I may get through all of this.

after being charged $315 for a diagnosis of my Lynx grill, I was given an estimate of almost $1400…read moreto repair it. This included a total of $692.91 for parts and $685 for labor I reached out directly to the Lynx office and discovered the cost of the parts was in fact $244.79. I understand a small markup on but this is unconscionable.

I am sorry to leave a bad review for the business who was nice on the phone…read more I have a place in Meridian, Tx which located within 50 miles of Waco and most of the home appliances are Thermodor including the refrigerator which I had trouble with. Called the company because they are an authorized service center for Thermodor. The tech came out and charged 2 hours of driving time and diagnosed the problem correctly but did not have hard start kit for the compressor which is same as common brand Whirlpool uses. I have 2 complaints to this company. 1) the driver came out unprepared to solve a problem, when they should have known what the problem was based on my description of the issues. 2) the job quote to have the starter replace was over 500 dollars including 2 hours of driving time in addtion to $240 for the 1st trip when the part cost $68.15 from Appliance Parts Depot in Houston. So the total repair through them was going to cost me over $750.00. It was matter of taking out the old part and plugging it in like changing the battery in a flash light. They must be in business to take advantage of customers instead of taking a pride in making customer happy and earning deserved profit. Before calling for their service everyone please at least think a little.
