Unfortunately, the person I had scheduled my appointment with was sick, so on the day of the appointment she called to inform me that one of her co-workers, Rosemarie, had agreed to see me. I had a little bit of a hard time sorting out where to park, because it was dark when I arrived - NOTE: there's parking all around the building. The building is an amazing historic site in Acton - can't miss it! I was a little concerned when I arrived - the bathroom and massage studio were chilly, but Rosemarie had a heater on that had already warmed up the room and the massage table was warmed with an infrared blanket, so I was nice and toasty. Rosemarie gave me a fabulous massage - combining what I would best describe as Swedish technique and Reiki ( I believe she's a Reiki master). The end result left me feeling more relaxed and far less stressed! Reading the reviews, it seems that Massage Sanctuary has an extraordinary group of talented therapists who genuinely put their clients needs first - and thank you so much to Rosemarie for making room in your busy schedule for my outstanding massage! xoxo

I HIGHLY recommend JMT Massage Therapy in Acton, MA! I went in with a frozen shoulder that had been…read morestuck at only 50% mobility for months. After just one session with Jen, I regained 75% mobility. That alone felt miraculous, but what impressed me even more was how deeply she cared about my healing. She took the time to ask questions about my pain and limitations, then went right to work using a blend of Eastern and Western techniques tailored specifically to me. Jen's approach is unlike any massage I've ever experienced. She even used her feet while holding onto a ceiling bar to apply the perfect pressure, which I did not know could be so effective! She explained that I would have some soreness after the release and that this was normal as my stiff muscles and tendons began to heal. She was absolutely right and the soreness was real but the "good kind," and after the first day my soreness went away and I had significantly more mobility. I've now returned for three weekly sessions, and each time I feel less sore after and gain more freedom of movement. I am now at 90% mobility after 3 sessions and will update further after my next appointments. What makes Jen exceptional is that she doesn't just repeat the same routine. She carefully identified the areas of my shoulder that need the most work each time. She's used a variety of techniques on me, including deep tissue, hot stones (love this one!) and the theragun. She even recognized that my other side was compensating, so she loosened that side as well. While physical therapy focuses on exercises and strengthening, and regular spa massages are usually about relaxation, Jen's therapeutic massage bridges the gap. It is both therapeutic and relaxing and targeted for recovery. Five stars all the way! If you're dealing with pain, limited mobility, or simply want a relaxing massage, JMT Massage Therapy is the place to go. I'll definitely be trying her full-body services once my shoulder is fully healed, and I encourage anyone in Acton or nearby towns to experience Jen's incredible work!

The hour massage by Tai was the best I have ever had. She addressed my painful areas without causing me more pain and I have never felt this relaxed. The setting of her business is beautiful and private.
