I was unclear on the look I wanted at my trial run, but it proved super helpful to meet and have her create a look for me. From there I was able to decide what direction (color palette, intensity, etc.) I wanted to go in for the day of. She really listened and made me, my mom and sister look amazing on the day of. I had to unexpectedly move hotel rooms midway through my makeup session on my wedding day and she was as cool as a cucumber despite the chaotic vibe. She also gave great beauty advice and makeup tips to help me on my big day and afterward. Amy rocks!

Amy checked in with me through out the process to make sure that I was comfortable with everything. Not only is she skilled but she was so much fun to chat with while getting ready! The final look was great and I felt wonderful! I will be recommending her to all my friends and will absolutely hire her again for upcoming events!

It was my best friend's 30th bday and we wanted to do something a little different/special before going out to celebrate. We came up with the idea of getting our makeup done, and luckily had read about Pre-Dame, which seemed awesome. There were 5 of us who wanted in, and when I contacted Stefanie she couldn't have been more friendly and easy to coordinate with. There were 5 of us girls - all really different in terms of style - but all really pumped about having someone come to US and do our makeup while we got the night started. Stefanie came to my apt with tons of makeup and a bottle of champagne in hand on a Saturday evening. She was really fun ( we honestly tried to get her to come out with us afterward we loved her so much, but sadly for us she had another makeup gig to get to) and insanely talented (she gave everyone a lot of individual attention and everyone was so happy with their look) Everyone looked amazing, I mean, model amazing. It was seriously one of the best things we possibly could have done to make the night special - first because while the pre-dame party itself was so much fun, but second because we felt so freakin hot all night. Highly recommended

I decided to go to Barbados for Cropover last minute and scrambled to find a makeup artist in Barbados. I came across Face Candy Studio through sheer luck while searching frantically on google. Luckily they had a few slots open on the day of carnival so I immediately jumped at the chance and booked my session. They offered air brush and the regular option. I opted for airbrush. Upon arriving at the hotel where they were based for the day, I noticed that they had a pretty smooth and efficient system: there were multiple makeup artists, each contributing to making you flawless. What I mean by this is that you had one person doing your lashes, another doing the base, foundation, another putting on the jewels on your face etc (forgive me for not going into more details, I just don't speak the language of makeup well). I showed them a photo of the look I was going for along with my costume as they inquired about these little details so they could deliver on making you look your best, and they delivered without any issues. Outside of being professional, all the makeup artists appeared to genuinely enjoy their job, which I think is essential in order to get quality work done. Needless to say of all my friends who got their makeup done elsewhere, mine was the only one that lasted all day through jumping up and down, dancing and sweating like a pig. Some of the jewel came of my face BUT only because one of my nuisance friends kept taking them off just for the fun of it. Which ever country/city I decide to play mas in next, I will be booking Face Candy Studios in advance. Months in advance, so I don't miss out!

I had asked her about parking situation, available garages, etc. prior to the 2-day class and made it seem like it was not a problem. 3.5 hrs driving into Brooklyn, only to find all parking garages are completely full, no metered parking and drive around for over an hour with no valid on street parking in sight. I had to turn back around and drive another 3.5 hrs back home. She did not even say "let's use your deposit towards another future class" or "Let ne refund your deposit gif such an inconvenience " I found her to be greedy and not understanding of the situation at all. You also need to bring all of your own supplies. Meaning not just your machine but pigments and needles. So be prepared to carry everything from your work into Brooklyn, walk a distance and lug it up mara it's to a studio without an elevator (which I also inquired about). Sign up at your own discretion. I rarely leave bad reviews but feel the professionalism could have went above and beyond. If she was willing to send a deposit back I most likely would have visited for other trainings. Seeing some of the reviews now I am noticing it may not have been a great idea.

I was married in May at the New York Botanical Gardens and had the pleasure of working with Daisy…read moreall day. She arrived early and after setting up all the tools and makeup a girl could dream of, she and her assistant got to work on my mom and bridesmaids. Daisy is very skilled at making everyone of all ages and ethnicities look their best and feel comfortable, including my 14 year old niece, 45 year old sister in law, 65 year old mom and all of the 20- and 30-something bridesmaids. She and her assistant worked quickly but it did not feel rushed and everyone was thrilled with their makeup. She left plenty of time to make me the center of attention and recreated the exact look that I loved during our makeup trial. Daisy then came with us to the gardens and was on site with us until the ceremony, touching us up during pictures. The makeup she chose lasted all day so we probably could have gone without the touch ups, but I wanted the comfort of having her there just in case anyone broke down crying and needed a do-over. She was so attentive, helpful and fun, it felt like having another friend there who was part of my special day. I also had a HUGE zit on my wedding day--every bride's worst nightmare--and Daisy made it COMPLETELY disappear, it was crazy. I would like to add that I did makeup trials with four other makeup artists leading up to my wedding and Daisy's technique was the most impressive to me. She listened to what I wanted, provided her expert opinion on what she thought would work with my skin tone, and was very patient with me. I loved that she layered on my look and would pause after every layer to ask how I liked the look so that I had control over how much makeup was put on. She was able to achieve the "natural, smokey eyed, contoured" look that I asked for with products that felt very light on my skin but provided the coverage I needed to cover past acne marks. She took detailed notes about the colors and techniques she used so that she could replicate it on my wedding day and I'm pretty sure she studied the notes the night before our wedding because she remembered everything perfectly. I also appreciated how communicative Daisy was during the year leading up to our wedding. She was very responsive to emails and did not mind at all when I would email her with random thoughts or pictures that I found inspiring. It felt like she was as excited about my wedding as I was, which made me even more excited! I would highly recommend Daisy for your wedding if she is available in between fashion shows!
