I told her she should hire some staff since i've never seen anyone else work here beside her, and she replied saying she doesn't trust helpers. I have been to this salon a handful of times and have never seen anyone beside myself. I had also called beforehand and asked for her availability and she said she's available the same day, so it's not like I showed up unannounced. On the phone I had asked her the price and had confirmed it before she started. When she was done with the treatment, and I went to pay for my har oil treatment plus hair wash and blowout.. she had doubled the price and said it's because she included a hard water treatment serum when washing my hair. She never asked me, nor did she suggest it. She did it on her own and expected me to pay double the amount that was agreed upon. No wonder her salon is always empty.

It is a great small business in Newark I love to support to get my monthly maintenance done. I highly recommend if you want a quick service, it is not a spa or boujee place it does the job and for the price you're paying that's all you can ask for.
