I took Sam's Yellow Cab for the first time last week and was greatly pleased at the experience. He was very friendly, personable, punctual, and reasonably priced. From this point forward Sam's Yellow Cab will be the first one I call when I need taxi service! read more

Sam is by far the best taxi service in the South Bay! He is on time, fairly priced, and so very friendly and kind! He drives safe and is dependable! Although our flight was delayed to late at night, Sam was in constant communication to let us know not to worry that he would be there to pick us up, no matter the time! What a relief it was for us, since we were traveling international! We will always call Sam if we are in the area! You will not be disappointed! Sooo much better than Uber or Lyft! read more

I've traveled across the country for work more than 20 years and SAM is (by far!!) the most Authentically Kind and Cheerful cab driver I've EVER Met!! I almost didn't want to get out when I reached each of my destinations!! Will ALWAYS call him whenever I'm in the area!!! read more

We used Sam's cab on 9/22/23. Needed to be at airport by 5:30 am. He was at our home 15 minutes early which was great! There were 4 adults with full luggage and everything fit in his caravan. So much more reasonable than Uber! He even said he could pick us up from airport on our return. I gave him a heads up a couple of days before getting into SFO and said we would use his service. All we had to do is text him when we landed, then again when we had our luggage and which door at airport we were standing. And within 10 minutes or so, he was there! Highly recommend this cab service. Proved to be very reliable and will use his service for any future needs. Sam was great!! read more

On time and friendly. Called late evening from Mills Peninsula Hospital and was there in a short time.

Great service. The driver arrived early for a 4:15am ride to the airport. Helpful and courteous service. I would not hesitate to use Sam's again! read more

Sam is very nice, he confirmed day before he had correct address and was outside waiting 10min prior to when I needed to leave by. He called to let me know he was there. It's also pretty cool he was driving a Tesla! read more

Sam is a fantastic man, so friendly and prompt. We arranged for a round-trip service to and from a wedding up in the Woodside hills. His price was very fair and affordable and he's a very safe driver. So happy to have met Sam! read more

Excellent service from Sam. He arrived on time for my extremely early flight and got me to the airport quickly.

Sam came to my rescue after my Uber kept adding time to his arrival. He was waiting outside my hotel, and though I hadn't taken a taxi in a while I thought let me give this a shot. Turns out Sam is an amazing cab driver, knows every street by memory, and the shortcuts. He didn't even need to use his phone to find where I was going. He's an excellent story teller as well and very respectful and a true gentleman. I said screw it to Uber and have used Sam for all my rides while here for work. Highly recommend Sam!!! read more

Sam arrives 5 minutes early in a clean van. He was courteous and friendly. I would definitely call him again whenever I need taxi service.

Sam is a gentleman and went above and beyond when serving us. The first time I called Sam was at 1am to schedule a taxi pickup, I was expecting an answering machine but Sam picked up the phone and booked our cab for 4:30am. The next day Sam arrived at our house early but due to my own fault, my phone was on Do Not Disturb so I missed several phone calls from Sam to let us know he was outside. Sam waited and waited for us before finally leaving since my phone was non-responsive. When I woke up and found what had happened, I called Sam begging him to come back so we could make it to the airport on time. Sam was not angry, he was not visibly or audibly upset; he remained a true gentleman and came back to pickup my wife and I and take us to the airport. Needless to say, Sam deserved a huge tip for his amazing service. I wouldn't hesitate to use his company again. read more

San has taken us to airport and back several times and now we wouldn't call anyone else! Always on time, understanding on scheduling glitches, such a good guy. He just takes all the worry out of that hardest part of travel plans. You'll be glad you called! read more

Sam is awesome! Very friendly and on time (both ways from my home/SFO) and honest. I will definitely call on him again. Thanks, Sam!

I've been using Sam's services for the last 4 months. He has consistently been on-time regardless of the departure time. He is always pleasant, and brings a smile, even at 5am! I'm lucky to have found Sam! His competitors forced me to find an alternative when they couldn't consistently find a cab early in the morning. Now, I refuse to use anyone else. Thank you Sam for running a wonderful taxi service. read more

Sam's Yellow Cab should be the only cab company you ever use in this area. I was in Foster City on business for the better part of a week and initially was using another company. Not only were they charging me exhorbitant fees, they left me waiting for them and never showed up. The front desk at my hotel recommended I call Sam and it was an excellent choice. He assured me they would pick me up at my hotel and deliver me to work, and return me in the evening and they did just that. They were flexible when meetings ran long and overall a joy to work with. Sam himself followed his driver to my work to make sure things were going well. Use them, Sam and the woman who transported me (I believe her name is Summer) can't be beat! read more

I frequently fly on business and need to be at the airport on time so I don't miss my flights. I call Sam the day before my flight, or even the day of my flight sometimes, and he always agrees to be at my house at whatever time I need my pick up. In the seven years I've been working with him he has not been late once, and always has a friendly greeting and smile for me. I recommend him highly. read more

Sam is great he's friendly, professionals and always on time. I'll kept using his service in the future!

I have known Sam for years since i used to use yellow cab a lot and never knew he branched off his own company. I always save business cards if i was satisfied with the service so when i landed in SF I pulled out his card knowing that it would be quicker than to download uber and request a driver. Yes uber is cheap, BUT, you never know who you are driving with. The last drivers I had were horrible, rude, scared of my puppy in my purse, left me stranded on treasure island because they changed their mind, and the company never resolved it. I deleted the app and never used it again. At least i know who im riding with when I call Sam. Always so pleasant and helpful, had a few good jokes too! Thanks for the chat Sam, its good to see that some still know what good service means! read more

Sam is very friendly. If you need a last minute ride you can count on him. He's very reliable and is always on time.

Sam is the best. So non-rude on the phone for starters. Very accommodating. It's like calling a family member when you need a ride/- the next best thing!! He's delightful and a good part of our San Mateo past history that thankfully still remains. His rates are reasonable too!! Let's keep him going for many years to come! Thanks Sam!! read more

I made a reservation for a pick up 24 hours before my trip to SFO. I contacted the dispatcher again the morning of my trip. The driver was "one his way" for almost an hour. I finally called a different company and barely got to the airport on time. Do not use this company, they never show up! read more

We had a very bad experience with Sam Yellow Cab recently. We were traveling to Midwest before the holiday, and ordered the cab night before for early morning, and we were assured that cab will arrive on time. We got up early and on time and were ready for cab, we even waited on the street in front of our residence. However, cab was not there, and after 10mins, we could not wait longer, so called the cab service and emphasized the urgently and were again assured by the operator that cab will arrive in next 5-10mins. When after more 10mins, and total delay was ~20mins we could not wait more as we would loose any chance to catch our flight. We called another local cab company and asked for urgent pickup, and they arrived within 5mins as promised, and we were off to the airport, and barely caught our plane thanks to lucky set of events. The yellow cab was still not there 25mins post original time... Needless to say, we will never use this service again and do not recommend it if you expect/value timely pickup. read more

Sam is the best! Don't use anyone else! We were on vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had never been in the area before. Sam arrived on time at a predetermined pick up spot & took us everywhere we needed & wanted to go. He's pleasant to talk with, knowledgeable about the area & his cab was clean. He recommended great restaurants in the area & we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thank you again, Sam. We appreciated your service & hopitality! read more
