Sam is by far the best taxi service in the South Bay! He is on time, fairly priced, and so very friendly and kind! He drives safe and is dependable! Although our flight was delayed to late at night, Sam was in constant communication to let us know not to worry that he would be there to pick us up, no matter the time! We used Sam's cab on 9/22/23. Needed to be at airport by 5:30 am. He was at our home 15 minutes early which was great! There were 4 adults with full luggage and everything fit in his caravan. So much more reasonable than Uber! He even said he could pick us up from airport on our return. I gave him a heads up a couple of days before getting into SFO and said we would use his service. All we had to do is text him when we landed, then again when we had our luggage and which door at airport we were standing. And within 10 minutes or so, he was there! Sam is a gentleman and went above and beyond when serving us. The first time I called Sam was at 1am to schedule a taxi pickup, I was expecting an answering machine but Sam picked up the phone and booked our cab for 4:30am. The next day Sam arrived at our house early but due to my own fault, my phone was on Do Not Disturb so I missed several phone calls from Sam to let us know he was outside. Sam waited and waited for us before finally leaving since my phone was non-responsive. When I woke up and found what had happened, I called Sam begging him to come back so we could make it to the airport on time. Sam was not angry, he was not visibly or audibly upset; he remained a true gentleman and came back to pickup my wife and I and take us to the airport. Sam's Yellow Cab should be the only cab company you ever use in this area. I was in Foster City on business for the better part of a week and initially was using another company. Not only were they charging me exhorbitant fees, they left me waiting for them and never showed up. The front desk at my hotel recommended I call Sam and it was an excellent choice. He assured me they would pick me up at my hotel and deliver me to work, and return me in the evening and they did just that. They were flexible when meetings ran long and overall a joy to work with. I have known Sam for years since i used to use yellow cab a lot and never knew he branched off his own company. I always save business cards if i was satisfied with the service so when i landed in SF I pulled out his card knowing that it would be quicker than to download uber and request a driver. Yes uber is cheap, BUT, you never know who you are driving with. The last drivers I had were horrible, rude, scared of my puppy in my purse, left me stranded on treasure island because they changed their mind, and the company never resolved it. I deleted the app and never used it again. At least i know who im riding with when I call Sam. Always so pleasant and helpful, had a few good jokes too! I made a reservation for a pick up 24 hours before my trip to SFO. I contacted the dispatcher again the morning of my trip. The driver was "one his way" for almost an hour. I finally called a different company and barely got to the airport on time. Do not use this company, they never show up! read more

We had a very bad experience with Sam Yellow Cab recently. We were traveling to Midwest before the holiday, and ordered the cab night before for early morning, and we were assured that cab will arrive on time. We got up early and on time and were ready for cab, we even waited on the street in front of our residence. However, cab was not there, and after 10mins, we could not wait longer, so called the cab service and emphasized the urgently and were again assured by the operator that cab will arrive in next 5-10mins. When after more 10mins, and total delay was ~20mins we could not wait more as we would loose any chance to catch our flight. We called another local cab company and asked for urgent pickup, and they arrived within 5mins as promised, and we were off to the airport, and barely caught our plane thanks to lucky set of events. The yellow cab was still not there 25mins post original time... Needless to say, we will never use this service again and do not recommend it if you expect/value timely pickup. read more
