Sam what is the best time to sell a home in Mount Vernon, Ohio?

Hi David, Based on the current low levels of available inventory in Knox County Ohio, the best time to sell a home is right now. With very few homes available for sale this is an ideal time to sell and maximize your sales price.

Drew's knowledge of the local market and the Apple Valley Lake community was invaluable. He priced my home perfectly, marketed it aggressively, and got it sold quickly. On the buying side, he helped navigate the new construction process communicating with the builder, explaining timelines, reviewing details, and making sure nothing was overlooked.

We sought their recommendation for a real estate professional and decided to work with someone they suggested. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be highly unsatisfactory. After submitting an offer on a house, we were informed that we were being considered as a backup offer. However, due to our preference for a different district, we made the decision to work with another agent after our contract with the agent and agency had expired. We openly communicated this decision when they checked in with us. In response, Drew reacted in an unprofessional manner. They wrongly accused us of breaking the law, despite the fact that our contract had already expired. To our surprise, they then proceeded to send us a termination notice, which was completely unnecessary under the circumstances. In an email explaining our position, we provided clear and concise reasoning, only to be met with dismissive behavior from Drew Smith. They claimed our email was too long and declared their refusal to read it. Furthermore, it is important to note that Drew continued to contact us persistently, even though we had clearly chosen to work with a different agent. This disregard for our decision and repeated attempts to engage with us demonstrated a lack of respect for professional boundaries. Considering the unprofessionalism and complete disregard for our choices displayed by Drew, we have decided to file a complaint against them with The Ohio Division of Real Estate & Professional Licensing. We strongly caution others to seek alternative real estate agents who prioritize their clients' needs and adhere to professional standards. A few things Mr.Smith does not disclose in his colorful way of responding to this review is that he had no reason or recourse to interact with us after we started working with the other agent. We did not agree to be a backup offer, that would require a written contract, which we never signed. The end of the conversation as he so quoted was after threatening to go after our current agent for the commission by looking at the auditor website for what house we would buy, stating several times that what we were doing was illegal, when he had no idea of when we signed a contact with another agent. Which of course was after ours expired with his colleague. Or that not even his colleague asked him to contact us, as per a voice mail stating that she has nothing to do with his actions. We had to tell him to terminate contact with us and that we were done with his agency, especially after the way he represented it.
