Less than 24 hours after my father passed, the representative began a fast-paced sales presentation while our family was still in shock and barely able to process the loss. Being pressured to make permanent decisions without empathy was overwhelming . The interaction felt rushed and transactional, with little compassion shown to our grieving family. Having to advocate for basic empathy while planning a parent's burial is unacceptable. I strongly encourage others to request a different representative before making any final decisions. Our initial representative was John. After we requested a change, Chrysten was assigned and was wonderful to work with; however, this occurred after all decisions had already been made, and we did not meet her until the day of our father's celebration of life at the church. We picked out our plot and package and just as we were about to sign, they said oh these prices aren't correct. After quoting us one price all through the walkthrough of pricing, they left the room to talk to the general manager and when they came back, the price doubled. TDC took possession of the body about 4 hours after her death. Over the next week Victor was with us every step of the way. Because she died at home and we wanted cremation the Office of the Medical Examiner had to review the circumstances of her passing before issuing a permit for.
