Good value for money. The prices for the margaritas are fair as they are large and flavorful. The food prices are reasonable and mostly under $20. We ate at the back bar (they have two) and had a great server who gave us limitless chips and salsa.

The interior was exactly what you wanted in a Mexican restaurant. Our server was spectacular in every way, bringing our drinks, fulfilling special requests and timely checking in and delivering our check. The food however was less than average for my Mexican food taste and if you look at my reviews, I eat at a lot of Mexican food restaurants. So just average Sam Diego, I would return to try again but this meal was not stellar.

Cheery decor

I enjoyed a lively Tuesday evening meeting up with friends at Sam Diego's. The restaurant is spacious and colorful with a festive atmosphere, several bar areas and separate dining areas and in summer a back patio. The tiny back bar looked nicely private and more quiet. Our server, Doug, was fantastic, he set the stage for a nice experience by being friendly and very attentive. He made good recommendations describing each drink and dish helping me order well. The menu is large on choices and today Is taco Tuesday and they offer an additional menu at $14.95 and a mini margarita for $7.95. I ordered off this tonight. Birria beef tacos that came with 2 small flour tortillas (not fried as I was informed in advance) but filled generously full of delicious seasoned beef. It included & a thick consommé sauce for dunking & only one side choice, I had refried beans, all was very nicely flavored and the dipping was rich n tasty. I started with the $7.95 margarita but it was pretty good but petite and it looked more fancy advertised than it was. (Don't take the straw offered or it's gone in 4 sips ) The regular version margarita was much more satisfying and tequila selection is vast. My friends enjoyed the coconut margaritas with coconuty toasted rim and pineapple wedge. For dessert we shared the decadent Raspberry Cheesecake chimi $8.50 with a chocolate fudge sauce. Like a too sweet n' rich kids pop tart, we laughed together and ate it all up! I know this is not gourmet cuisine or even that good of a representation of Mexican food, but I enjoyed it. They tried hard with whimsical decor and seem to always have a crowd.

Graham cracker dessert.

My first time here. I wanted some tacos. I ordered a combo 3 tacos one chicken, beef, and pork. Fresh cut veggies and light with perfect sauce. Michelle made a fresh moscal mule. Wow refreshing. The graham cracker dessert. OMG. Munchie killer. Also had coco puffs with gelato. Amazing. Thank you Michelle for the great service. We had a conversation about siblings Mike $ Michelle. Great conversation and atmosphere was fitting for the restaurant. Definitely be back! Thank you.

Fun atmosphere with good food and very pleasant staff! Husband said the tenderloin in his tacos was very tender and enjoyed the con queso fries served with it. The fish was a little over cooked but I still liked them. Typically they have a habenaro salsa on them but I do not like spicy so chose not to include it. Free chips and salsa is always a plus!

Southwest Egg Rolls

I heard a ton from people I know about how great this place is. It is a landmark of the Hyannis restaurant scene. It's a shame I never been.... til now. It was a Sunday night so I expected reheated food and sub par service expecting people to go thru the motions in preparations to close in a couple hours.... not the case. The service by Ben F. Was perfect. Never having to have to ask for a refill of my Diet Pepsi or my kids milks. Speaking of kids, their meals were free on Sundays with purchase of adult entrees. We shared the southwest egg rolls. They were hot, slightly crispy outside nice and doughy on the inside without it being undercooked. Ben asked how I wanted my Rio Bravo Steak Tacos, I said "as bloody as they go" Other restaurants when I ask them the same thing end up giving me medium to medium well. The kitchen as you can see made them rare and to me that is perfect . We will definitely be back

What a disgrace. I can't believe there are people out there who actually consider this food. ‍ Imagine if playdough made a Mexican restaurant and then served plastic playdough as food. It would be illegal. That's Sam Diego's. I've seen enough of Gordon Ramsay that if he came here I know for a fact he would start yelling and close the kitchen. The only thing they have is a decent ambiance but it's just a facade. Pathetic, nasty, waste of $. Don't bother.

Reviews are mixed. Many enjoy the flavorful food, generous portions, and festive atmosphere. The good margaritas and friendly service are also well-regarded.

Best Tex Mex in the area. Cod Diego is a nice twist on grilled fish. Salads are hearty. Service is always super friendly .

Right across from the Chrysler-Jeep dealership on Yarmouth Rd, Amilia's is a roadside eatery with off-street parking and al fresco seating options in back. The menu is simple and Lily, our amazing server, added helpful comments. Very laid back vibe with multiple seating options to accommodate 1, 2 or 8 - and owners Millie (the bartender) and Illya (sp.) chef would def accommodate larger parties. Millie's spicy margarita was delish, and the tacos are the real deal - the fish taco I had was drool-worthy‼ The wings were juicy and uniquely spiced - perfect appetizers with the limed margaritas. The dessert special - churros cheesecake - was perfect with coffee the next morning. In the mood for simply tasty Mexican fare? Check out Amilia's - see the pics for highlights of our visit.

The bowl was bland with unseasoned rice, lettuce, and tasteless beans. They charge for a refill of chips. Normally any Mexican restaurant I have gone to encourages chip consumption as this makes you thirsty to buy drinks. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Katie was our waitress, and she aimed to please from the wine tasting to make sure we like our choices from the wine list We both selected the fish taco with pineapple salsa with a very nice dressing The unique potato chip fried fish was so fresh We opt for the garlic bread to go with our wine and that too had its special flare I know we both said this is a first but not our last trip to enjoy the food ,service and ambience . Thanks Katie for answering all our many questions and making so many extra trips to the kitchen for us Jackie S

We came here because of the great reviews and sat at the bar, but we were pretty disappointed. The…read morebluefish pate itself was good, but rather on the salty side, so serving it with salt and vinegar chips made it pretty much inedibly salty (this was taken off the bill when the bartender noticed we didn't eat more than one bite each). My first glass of vinho verde wine was served at room temperature (the second was fine), and the side plate I was given was crusted with dried food residue. I also watched an employee behind the bar wipe her nose with her hand and then continue slicing citrus barehanded. The chicken empanadas were good but not particularly special. We also had one of the small pizzas, which was the best thing of the night, crispy and flavorful (with a little char at the edges, which we like). The decor is a little bananas (different shades of green between the walls, the napkins, the barstools, and the banquettes; five kinds of lighting fixtures; lots of sound and lighting items with exposed, hasty-looking wiring). The bathroom door doesn't really close and lock properly. And the restaurant is really loud, even half full. The writing on the menu, about family members and special recipes, tells me that there's pride here and real care about making a good restaurant. However, without the attention to detail (particularly cleanliness and hygiene!), that's kind of moot. Three stars instead of two here because the pizza was good and the staff obviously care about customers.
