Slate is definitely one of those stores. I stopped in on Christmas Eve just to browse around and I wish I could have bought everything in the place! It is a pretty hipster little store, and everything inside would be both useful to have in your home and serve as a conversation starter with guests. The items are unique, interesting, and high quality. There are kitchen gadgets, bar cart fixings, home decor items, greeting cards, jewelry...the list goes on. It's a great store and fits well with the Church Street aesthetic.

The end result of beautifully coordinated tile,granite topped vanity, bath fixtures , lighting and even the towel racks and knobs for the gorgeous vanity - all of it exceeded my expectations. We purchased a La-Z-Boy sofa and loveseat. We waited eight months for delivery. We received the…read moreloveseat first and it was comfortable, we received the sofa afterwards and the cushions were very hard and not comfortable. A definite difference between loveseat and sofa. We had a technician come out from La-Z-Boy and he said that they would swap the cushions on the sofa either with the showroom model or order new ones. I waited two weeks and called Novello's for follow up and they said the technician said there was nothing they could do. That is a complete lie and I am so upset. I called the store and talk to a manager and he said there was nothing they could do. So needless to say we will not be shopping there again and neither will any of my friends. Word of mouth is the worst advertising for you today.
