I would give 100 stars if I could!!! I have been meaning to write a review for this great company…read morethat helped make my wedding an absolute dream. Prior to getting married, I was glued to a show called "Platinum Weddings". The wedding that caught my eye involved a cave reception in a Mayan ruin...The cave was surrounded by crystal blue water and it could fit up to 400 people or still be intimate enough for 75. I made it my quest to find the coordinators for this event. I found SOLEN, the "Event Masterminds"...and what a gem of a find. I spoke with Claudia Alanis Rios who immediately won me over. She is very professional, honest, sweet, detail-oriented, loves her job and is extremely creative. She takes your ideas and makes them a reality greater than what you could have ever imagined. She surprised me with extra little perks that she knew would just melt my heart, never charging me an extra penny and just doing it because she knew it would add a special touch. She helped me with ideas that I never knew were even possible. The biggest perk is that she studied in San Diego, she is a chef and a wine aficionado. She speaks perfect english and has impeccable taste. Planning a wedding in Mexico from the US is very difficult, especially when you want something that is a little non-conventional and unique (like a cave wedding). You don't know vendors, you can't really strike a bargain from afar and you want someone like a David Tutera that you can trust to just make it all happen. I never stressed. Claudia kept me posted almost daily about all the details...and she stressed for me. I only traveled to Mexico once for a food tasting and to pick table settings and flowers....the rest which included: coordinating lodging for all of my guests, airport travel, shuttles to the wedding, rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, post-wedding catamaran snorkeling cruise....was all handled by SOLEN and if you can believe it...the amount of money that I spend for one week in Mexico for the wedding, my family's travel, their hotel stay and post wedding fun was equivalent to what I would have spent for a one day wedding in Los Angeles. I can go on and on. Contact them if you are considering getting married essentially anywhere in Mexico, they have contacts everywhere. Best part about it, they don't just coordinate weddings...they are the "go-to" planners for many corporate events & concerts. They recently coordinated all the events for "Bachelor in Paradise" which took place in Tulum. You will not be disappointed. -Elena

The Den ended up being one of my favorite places at Hyatt Ziva Cancún -- not just because of the…read morecocktails, but because of the people. I had the pleasure of meeting Eduardo, who I'm assuming manages The Den. He recommended that rather than continuing to order individual drinks, I purchase a bottle that I could keep there and enjoy at my convenience throughout the stay. For us, it ended up being a much better value. More importantly, Eduardo was incredibly down to earth and genuinely seemed to take ownership of the experience at The Den. He made sure we were comfortable, taken care of, and enjoying our time there. That was actually what stood out most to me about this place. The cocktails are excellent, but I probably enjoyed the conversations with the staff even more. Eduardo shared his perspective on the differences between Cancún and the area near Mexico City where his family is from. I also had a great conversation with Jorge, who is from Oaxaca, and with the gentleman who made my cocktails throughout the stay -- unfortunately, I can't remember his name, but he did an excellent job. The Den itself has a completely different feel from the busier areas of the resort. It's quiet, comfortable, and a great place to get away for a little while. There's something nice about sitting down, having a well-made cocktail, and actually being able to have a conversation with the people behind the bar. It's also a perfect stop before dinner. Come down a little early, have a cocktail, relax, and then head to your reservation. If you're heading back to the pool, they'll even put your drink in a plastic cup so you can take it with you. Definitely a 5-star experience for me. Great cocktails, a relaxed atmosphere, and, most importantly, genuinely great people. Eduardo and the team made The Den feel less like another resort bar and more like a place you actually wanted to come back to. Strongly recommend stopping in during your stay.

Every staff member I have encountered has been kind, respectful, and welcoming, and I want to…read moreacknowledge that clearly. My disappointment is with the resort experience itself. The repeated requests for my room number, the policies and safety restrictions, and the way I was asked to leave my cabana made it difficult to relax and enjoy my stay. The food has been particularly disappointing. Mercado, room service, and the poolside food fell well below my expectations. The coffee has been good, and the French restaurant was fine, but the overall dining quality has been poor. My spa experience was wonderful. I enjoy spending time and money at a spa and am comfortable being offered additional treatments and upgrades. However, a separate $15 charge for oil felt petty and out of place. Two of my favorite restaurants are at the Hyatt in Tampa, and I have stayed at three Hyatt properties in Hawaii. Those experiences gave me confidence in choosing Hyatt for my first all-inclusive vacation. Unfortunately, the quality here has not met those expectations. I am sharing this as feedback, not opening a discussion or requesting compensation. These concerns reflect the resort's overall approach, and I do not believe they can be resolved during my stay. Again, the people have been delightful. The resort, however, feels focused on volume and standardization at the expense of quality and thoughtful hospitality. It is not the right fit for me, and I am leaving disappointed.
