It doesn't make sense to me. Also just as a general observation, 2nd Ave stores have been getting super expensive lately for a chain that operates solely on donations. You mean to tell me a secondhand piece of clothing is $25 when you got it for free? Kindof a rip off. I have been using Pickup Please for YEARS and have donated through this service many times, so it…read moreis extremely disappointing to see how poor the service has become. A couple of weeks ago, a driver came onto my porch, looked at the last box I had set out for donation, and then simply walked away without taking it. I have also repeatedly had issues with the donation receipts. When the pickup is on my porch, the receipt is often tossed wherever the driver happens to leave it, including in the middle of my driveway. Most recently, I received confirmation that my pickup was scheduled for the day. I was told that the trucks run from 8:00 a.m. and could be out as late as 6:00 p.m. I had everything properly prepared and clearly labeled "VVA" as instructed. No one ever came. I understand that routes can run late and that occasional problems happen. What is frustrating is that these are not isolated incidents. I have been a longtime donor and have used this service for years, and the level of service I am experiencing now is simply unacceptable. After years of using Pickup Please, I will no longer be using their pickup service. It is unfortunate to lose a service I had relied on for so long because of repeated issues that could have been easily avoided
