If you have not seen the "Boots on the Ground" line dance videos you have managed to escape all social medial outlets (pretty phenomenal feat.) Line dancing is done at birthday parties, weddings, retirements...you name the event and there is a high probability line dancing will be happening. Generally speaking, most folks have done the electric slide or cupid's shuffle or more recently the Wobble. These are the "ticket to entry" line dances. Currently, there is so many line dancing out there I can barely keep up. Once you learn the base line dancing, then the younger peeps add a spin to it. I can't tell you how many times I have been line dancing and there are multiple versions of that line dance being done on the dance floor. I challenge myself to learn as many line dances as possible. Why? Because it is totally and completely fun!!! You might ask what does line dancing have to do with the St. John's community center? Well, the community center has an instructor that does line dancing every Tuesday, 6-8 pm for FREE. You could potentially learn 12-14 line dances in one night. Then you are prepared to spring out to the dance floor and join in on the fun.

It's so awesome that I had to create a new business profile just so I can review it on Yelp. Because after all, sharing is caring. St. John Community Center is endorsed by the City of Austin, and it's the chosen community resource for Austin's Tiny Shots and Big Shots immunization program. The entire vaccination process at the St. John Community Center was quick and easy. You call 2 days in advance to make an appointment. You check-in with the friendly staff. You wait a few minutes. Nurse calls. You get the shots. You pay. You leave -- *super* happy that you found this gem of a community resource! The staff -- everyone from the receptionist to the nurse to the cashier -- was helpful and nice. And this is by FAR the least expensive place to get shots around town. I walked away with 3 shots for only $10 -- total! I have no idea why anyone would get their shots, travel shots, or vaccinations elsewhere. Best part: St. John Community Center also provides immunizations for those who are uninsured, under-insured, or on Medicaid so be sure to let others know about it!

It's important to know what to expect for a first timer like myself. I just needed some help unloading the truck for moving into town which I knew would only take a few hours and wasn't ready to pay 'professional' movers $60+/hr. When I arrived at 1pm (time is a relevant consideration for later), a gentleman walked out from the inside to greet me in the parking lot. Asking me how many people I would need, how long, and how much I was paying (per hour). He informed me I could just take the "next two guys in line" or select two guys. When I walked in, I was quite surprised. You are put on center stage so be ready. It was a pit-type area with several rows of chairs and about 25 guys just sitting and waiting. The gentleman announced what I wanted, how long, and how much I was paying and then the hands started going up with yelps of "Hey buddy!" "right here!", "I'm strong". Sighs of unhappiness went out as soon as I picked the second guy as the others knew they wouldn't have work. I drove the two guys back to my place, they helped unload the truck. We took a few breaks where I got some of their life story over some water and sodas. Nice guys. I kept in mind that they weren't professional movers, so with a little emphasis on caution and taking it easy with the big stuff, there wasn't any drama and wall scrapings. How much you want to pay is up to you (I overpaid what I said I was going to pay). It's in cash at the end and directly to the guys and you're expected to drive them back to First Workers afterwards. KEEP IN MIND: These are people trying to get work and make a living. 1) How long are you having them for? They're hoping for a full days work and most of them show up early in the morning. If you're only doing a couple hours, they're not likely to get more work afterwards. Even if you pick them up late in the afternoon, it's likely they've been waiting all day. 2) Don't be afraid to pick who you want. While you can have the facility go in order and just assign someone, feel free to ask if someone has certain skills or past experience that may help with what you're looking for. You can also make sure you don't get someone that you don't feel comfortable with if it's for something in your home. Overall, glad the city has this place set up. Sad that there's so many people willing to work and can't get any!

They are located right next to H-mart and 85 degrees bakery…read more USCIS staff are professional, accurate and precise if it comes to times, and the job. 2 pm biometrics appointment, checked in at 1:53, a little wait with a number, then some redo's of a couple of fingers to get clear prints, and I was out by 2:15 pm. Original forms, cards were returned to you, including a little booklet with the next steps in the process, and a customer satisfaction form to filled out and returned in the box on your way out. Which was very satisfactory in my case. Tried to get there earlier at 1:30, and the door was locked. I guess they're on a lunch break. And people need & deserve a break too! The door reads again (just like the received appointment letter), only to enter with appointment, and only 15 minutes prior. It had notes that USCIS staff are wearing masks, and for visitors it is optional (because of the 'green phase'). When checking you in, they did ask me to remove the mask to confirm my identity. Which I'm glad they did! The waiting area (which is basically first come - in line/checked in, first serve) had signs everywhere to NOT USE PHONES. Pretty standard for government centers. Do not take photographs. Do not eat or drink. And that's how you keep things clean and safe. My pictures were only on the outside to show it's location and the times, rules to enter by the door.

Drove to another notary service, got it, returned, and finally got my deed recorded, but: (4) There's an absurd $3 service charge for using a credit card. This process took me hours because they weren't competent enough to provide notary service, to say one way or the other on the website whether they do, or to use NORMAL ENGLISH on their website and not internal terminology that only the workers there understand.
