While driving through Sudbury during a BC to ON roadtrip, stopped by here for a drink. Didn't utilize the drive-thru that they have. Usually my go-to is an oat latte, but I asked what their most popular/specialty lattes were and the staff recommended their Cinnamon Bun Latte. I asked if I could sub the milk to oat milk, and they informed me that their base has cream in it and asked if that was ok still - which I said was fine. Didn't realize that the drink was iced until it was ready (would have preferred it hot), but it was actually so delicious! Not super sweet, no overwhelming cinnamon flavour. Lots of seating inside with natural lighting and plants. If I had time to dine-in, I would have enjoyed it! read more

First off... nice cafe layout. Clean, interesting decor, quite busy for a Thursday afternoon. The coffee is good. I ordered a vanilla latte, and the service was quick. Salute absolutely has my favourite matcha - it's incredible hot, iced and blended. I think it's safe to say this is my favourite locally owned spot in Sudbury. The staff are always friendly, the drinks are perfectly crafted and the bakery options are always delicious. I don't recall a time I've come to Salute and left disappointed with my order or the service experience. Personally, I tend to prefer going to this location over Downtown - however, that opinion is largely based around being a driver and parking downtown is usually terrible. There is an incredible seating area in the building that leaves the ordering counter tucked away from seated guests. Additionally, they do have an app for mobile payment through gift card which can also be used to collect points to earn rewards. read more

Nice cosy coffee place in Sudbury. I bought a cup of Monument coffee, the unbeatable chocolate cake/muffin and 2 bags from f beans. First, the food is delicious. Chocolate cake was eaten the morning after( approx 12 hrs) and was chocolatey, moist and not overly sweet. Chocolate comes through, dark and chocolates, with a hint of earthiness. Hands down one of the tastiest ever. Coffee was nutty and complex, medium bodied. Beats Starbucks by a mile. They also offer bailey or forty Mille creek shots!! I also saw the espresso station. This is where it lost the last star. Messy, and the milk steamer was left dripping after hearing the milk. That's a turn off. Overall great place, nice area for dine in. Recommended, though I think they should clean up the espresso operations. This is where Starbucks baristas are better trained. read more

Salute has been a very welcome addition to a pretty bare south end area of the city. Everything I've enjoyed here (coffees, lattes, teas, baked goods) has been delicious, and fairly priced for the quality. Pricing is comparable to Starbucks but quality is definitely better at Salute. I also just love the atmosphere. The building is a really cool old garage-esque building with a lot of natural light and varying seating. There is also a fireplace to cozy up beside in the winter. Staff have always been knowledgable and friendly, which is an added bonus. If I still lived in the city, I would make this my go-to coffee and work-from-home spot. read more

Sudbury (or maybe just me) needed a place like this (and could use many more) so bad! Remniscient of hipster coffee shops found mostly in larger cities, here you'll find proper espresso drinks, homemade baked goods (with vegan and gluten-free options, YES!), and also 'real' food like quinoa salads, yogurt parfaits etc. when you're in for a long day of studying and can only sustain so long on pastries. In the evening you can also get pizza and boozy-drinks. You should know that they have live music on Thursdays in case you are either looking for live music, or looking to avoid it if you're hoping to study. One drawback is that they seem to have a different closing time every night. read more

Un-beetable Chocolate Cake. Those three words are all you need to know going in there. It doesn't matter if you're a full fledge carnivore (and I am), but this dairy free cake is absolutely delectable, and for those who aren't fans of beets - it doesn't matter, you cant taste them whatsoever. In my times at Salute; I've also had the pleasure of enjoying a Flat White, and a Peppermint Mocha, or two, or...... and they are out of this world as well. Excellent coffee. Whenever I come to Suds this is my go-to for java. Finally somewhere that knows how to make a latte properly. Other than SB's ( which i def. try to neglect), most places in Suds over-heat and:or over-foam. That's what a thermometer is for when you're unsure. Jus sayin' .. when you're paying $5 for a drink, i want it made properly. And without attitude- that's the only reason why i'm not giving five stars. read more

Salute Coffee is in a very convenient location just off of rt 69. Probably why I had been wanting to come to this place for a while because it looked very tempting. The space is lovely and very spacious. Not quite cozy but offers some nice looking nooks for you to privately work away on your laptop. I ordered a flat white and an americano and both were excellent. The menu looked very tempting, offering a variety of food to keep you full and happy. The staff was some of the nicest people, getting our orders out right away. Salute also has a drive thru, so if you're really on the run you can avoid the parking lot. The parking lot was probably the only downside to this location. It was a little too small and the spaces were awkwardly placed. Still, I would come back for sure. read more

We stopped at Salute coffee on our way home to Toronto. The brewed Pilot Heritage was delicious. They had soy and almond milk options available. We also ordered cappuccinos which were offered as small or large. We said yes to the larger size. My only comment is that the cappuccinos were far too milky given that they didn't increase the amount of espresso with the added dairy. It was more of a latte. The food was an exceptional to-go option as opposed to the millions of fast . We got breakfast sandwiches which were delicious. Great coffee place! read more

I've been travelling to Sudbury for ten years, and Sudbury has desperately needed a café like this one. Fresh baked treats, beautiful lattes, and well priced. Atmosphere is casual and comfortable. First time here. Experience was awesome. Coffee was hot and tasted amazing. The menu choices for breakfast and lunch looked and tasted amazing healthy and a lot of gluten free and some vegan choices. Really nice lay out very relaxed and hip. The crowd ranges from hipster to suit and ties walking in and out the door but everyone, myself included, has walked in and out with a smile. I hope this place becomes Sudbury's staple coffee house because Starbucks has nothing on these guys. Friendly staff quick service and knowledgable.
