You can actually have a lovely talk with your mates which is what you came out for right?! The seating is comfortable with lots of coushins and the like on offer. The drink range is diverse but don't expect any cheap offers. I have never had any bad experience with the staff other than the all too occasional ID session. But i guess i would rather be called up to the bar because my mates brought himself a drink than have lots of underage kids breaking the law. Add this into a pub crawl and you'll be refreshed by it's lovely decor and comfortable seating.

I could easily spend a weekend here, shooting pool and sinking beer, if my puny bank balance would allow. There's an array of pool tables, and a few snooker tables for the hardcore, to choose from, US and English. The cues are a better standard than you'll find in any pub, and the baize, while not Crucible standard, is usually in pretty good nick too. It almost invariably proves cheaper than playing anywhere else, unless you're with someone extremely slow, as you can play for an hour for just over £6. Riley's often has offers on too, so you can get 3 hours for the price of 2. Even though I'm a bit of a chubber there's normally adequate room for queuing, but if it's particularly busy and the balls dictate you sometimes have to wait for a second to allow someone else to take a shot. TV's showing the latest sports results/matches are a bonus.
