I've tried CBT, Art therapy, Counseling, and just about every medicine under the sun during that time with little to no results. I was convinced I was just going to have to live a life of unexplainable sadness and anxiety. Then I stumbled across Alternative Therapeutics and learned about neurofeedback. After speaking with a doctor there and doing a little research I decided to give it a go. This was the best decision I've ever made and the results were nothing short of a miracle. They taught me mindful meditation, controlled breathing and performed neurofeedback on me twice a week for ten weeks. Upon completion of these 20 sessions my sleep schedule was now normal and consistent, with very little fatigue during the day. This was a huge change as I was previously sleeping 12 hrs a night and tired ALL day. I was missing out on a lot of my life and just going through the motions. I was told acupuncture and inversion table and given the chiropractors name that worked wonders for my friend. I immediately got my "magic phone"/ smart phone to others and searched. I placed the call because of my schedule and theirs, they couldn't see me for a 4 days. I made appointment and went back to bed. Since I already was prescribed pain meds and steroids for my local doctor who told me when prescribed that he didn't believe in chiropractor care because he made a face when I answered his questions on my office visit. When I woke the next morning I said to myself it is b. s. that I have to be in this much pain for four more days. I grabbed my "magic phone" again and searched acupuncture near me and found Dr Joe Andrejcik and placed the call. They had an opening the next afternoon. I wish my experience would be better, but it is not. I came to Family Holistic Health 15 months…read moreago to find an alternative solution to my minor but annoying skin problem. Dermatologists failed to diagnose it and only prescribe me medicated shampoos which controlled but never treated the problem. I was assured by the Family Holistic Practitioner that their remedies have no side effects. The remedy looks like little granules made of unknown substance and the active ingredients are not disclosed to the patients. After the first remedy I had minor improvement along with side effect, where the capillaries on my shin bone were spilling under the skin and covered my legs with the big red patches. The second remedy did not show any improvement, but the side effect went away. A year later, a third remedy was offered to me. One of the warnings they tell you, is that during the treatment, if a remedy "works", an old symptom may arise. It does, and most likely it will be the worst one you ever had. I notified Dr. Cseak that an old and very scary symptom is showing up, but it was ignored. The symptom was developing and gradually getting worse over the course of three weeks covering my face and throat with the red itchy burning agitated patches. I had only a two day short improvement from all symptoms, and that's about it. Dr. Cseak instructed me to take another doze of remedy, and then IT came back, the nightmare of my daily life I went through 4 years ago. My eyes swelled up and my face and neck were on fire! It acted as if a severe allergic reaction to something very bad. I had to go to the Emergency room for a Benadryl injection, but it never helped. As a matter of fact, none of the antihistamines ever helped, only Prednisone can put it down. It actually appears that I have an autoimmune problem, and a REMEDY TOTALLY TRIGGERED IT! The sad part is that when I came to Dr. Cseak's office to show her my "beautiful" face, she could not say anything other than: "Sometimes I just cannot help some people"... SERIOUSLY? After 15 months of treatment, hundreds of dollars spent, 3 different remedies and warnings about a bad old symptom showing up, I was left with just these words??? I guess, that's what I should start telling to my clients from now on if their problems are beyond my knowledge and expertise. I wish my experience would be a better one, but it is not.

A few days ago, on my way to the appointment, I hit stopped traffic from a car accident that had just happened. I called the office at 3:10 to explain, and was told to just get there as soon as I could -- that it shouldn't be a problem given the accident. I arrived at 3:33 for my 3:15 appointment and was turned away. No exceptions, no compassion. I explained I'd driven 45 minutes, called ahead, was in serious pain, had been trying to get this injection for 3 months, and had a competition out of town the next day. I was told I'd missed the 15-minute grace period and should have been there by 3:30. A 15-minute injection could easily have been worked in. If you're looking for compassion from this office -- from the front desk or from Dr. Mehta herself -- you won't find it here. I'm still stunned that a Cleveland Clinic physician would turn away a concierge patient in visible pain over an 18-minute delay caused by an accident I had no control over, after her own staff told me on the phone it wouldn't be a problem.

Her main goal seems to be to push vaccinations and other unnecessary procedures on you. That felt extremely uncomfortable. When she found out I'd seen another doctor she took away my prescription I'd gotten through her, even though it wasn't a painkiller or anything like that. I hope other patients don't have the same experience but I fear they do. The extra star is because she at least made a pretense of listening during the appointment, unlike many other physicians.
