I had been with them for years. Mostly telehealth. I had made an appointment recently on their patient portal. It was for telehealth and they never called. So I made another appointment and I didn't hear my phone when they called. So when I scheduled again I was going to set an alarm on my phone so I wouldn't miss it. But guess what? I got a letter of termination. The first appointment they never called. Thats o. Them. But a disabled person was dropped for not hearing one call. I was needing help because my primary care provider thinks I may have spinal stenosis. Now I have to find a neurologist to help me. Rude. Not recommended. They never smile or seem happy to be there, especially Dr. Drake! I get the sense that they're all miserable and don't have empathy for the patients. I was seeing Dr Casanova, I really liked him.alot and was very disappointed when he left. I can no see him, he isn't on my Insurance. I asked alot of people and Dr Zollinger came highly recommended by the Physicians I work with. His specialty is Multiple Sclerosis. I have been seeing him since Dr C left. I like him very much. We review my history and treatment. I never feel rushed. I have recommended him to others who have asked. read more

Extremely rude I had my significant other here as a follow up after a stroke/seizure. From the front desk to the girl showing us to the exam room to the Nurse practitioner that seen her . Every person in this facility was very very rude . They were snippy in everything they spoke and talking down to the patient . I wouldn't send my enemy to this facility. read more

I've been with neurocare since I was 1 1/2 years old I will tell you all the doctors are great here regardless of what others say or think. I have always been taken care of by neurologist I have seizures and epilepsy fibromyalgia sleep apnea migraines and headaches a long list of things and I will say the staff has always been good to me in all the departments and try to help with everything they can as much as possible everyone will have a bad experience with any place people remember these doctors and the other office staff are human too give them credit were credit is deserved they are trying to help you and figure out what it is going on with you. I have Dr Casanova at aultman pain MGMT before the left he was a great pain medicine doctor and still being a neurologist to me also and he would give my neurologist Dr Jennifer drake information too when I one time showed him a sleep apnea testing that an old doctor in the new neurocare location on dressler and everything got fixed because he could see that I had sleep apnea and the staff is wonderful in different ways like when I have a sleep apnea test the research area billing check in and check out the testing areas where there program tests etc I think people are going to have to rethink their own opinions because they don't think that doctors are human too they are and they do have to see doctors themselves for their conditions etc I will say that as a kid going to the pediatrics neurologist was different only because I was a kid and now I see that all health department areas try to figure out what a problem is with a new patient or current one read more

I've been seeing Dr. Casanova for 16 years, and he has always gone above and beyond to make sure i'm getting the proper treatment. For example, when i moved to japan for a year & discovered my seizure medication was not available there, he researched & found something similar in Japan that i could ask the japanese neurologist to prescribe. He even faxed my medical records long distance to the Japanese hospital so they could properly treat me. The office staff and nurses are very helpful too, I haven't personally had any issues with anyone being unprofessional. I was sad to read others' bad reviews of Neurocare, hopefully these were isolated incidents. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Casanova: he's very personable, extremely knowledgeable and so, so kind. read more

I had been a patient with Neurocare for about 20 years with Dr. Jay Berke until his retirement where I was transferred to Ryan Drake (DO not MD). I never cared for any of my limited visits with him. On my last visit with him I never received any lab work prescriptions (e.g. hepatic function panel, medicinal level, etc.). This was the first time ever (given the drugs I used to control my condition can be damaging to my liver). I called well before my appointment to politely inquire why and got treated poorly during the conversation shortly afterward they did provide me with an incomplete lab prescription. Here is where the fun starts...I arrived a few minutes late to my appointment due to closed lanes on rt 77 south bound. I was told to have a seat and they would check to see if I could be seen. 25 minutes later they came out and told me that that I could not be seen and of course charged me a no show fee! read more

I have been a patient at Neurocare for a few years now and I have to agree with other reviews that the staff is rude and uncaring. Not only that but you don't get return phone calls for days, if you can even get to the correct person to leave a message. They say they are having trouble with their phone system. Well, they have been saying that for 6 months now. I have not had an appointment that was on time yet. Average wait time is 45 min. to an hour. Even the first appointment of the day is late. Totally unprofessional in my opinion. The PA I had been seeing, because it is too difficult to schedule an appt. with a doctor, didn't listen and just wanted to prescribe more medications. My husband needed a neurologist and because this place was close and there were several dr's there we chose to use them. We saw Dr. Jay Burke and Dr. Drake was no better!! We only used them a short while. My husband was having headaches and then began to have seizure like activity. We were told that he was just going to have migraines and these seizure like things were just part of migraines. We would call in an emergent event like what they told us to do wasn't working, and we were told to go to the ER. The ER would tell us to contact our neurologist all while my husband was having an on level 1-10 level headache, his he called a level 15 headache and couldn't function on daily activities! The lady that answered the phone when we called was always so rude and they never return phone calls! We will never use this office again, nor will we refer anyone to them!! I would give this place a zero if I could. Only writing this on google because I no longer have an option to write another review and they've deleted it from their page on facebook. I was diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines. To stop this, Dr. Ryan Drake put me on a beta blocker to try to resolve the issue.. meanwhile i'm already on a beta blocker as I have a heart disease. Come to find out he didn't even take the time to read my medication list. So I came home,(I research all medications I take) so I found out it was a beta blocker in which he told me it was a blood pressure medication he "likes to use for migraines because..well it just works better." So as i'm researching, I find out that it's a beta blocker. I called my cardiologist up at Aultman hospital to make sure I could take it. They immediately call back with "Do NOT take what your neurologist put you on as it will slow your heart to the point of stopping it." because of the fact I was already on a beta blocker. So I brushed it off as, "oh a big mistake but I'll give him another chance." Then I receive a bill in the mail for $2,212 for my MRI in which I vividly remember signing my initials to "bill my insurance" as i've had insurance since June of 2018. I've still been back and forth with them about this as now they're trying to put it on my credit as a 21 year old. Yet, you can't even contact them through their office because their reception team is a joke in itself. I get a paper in the mail today, I'm fired from being a patient. I have been a patient here for 1 year since having a sudden onset of seizures. Horrible, uncaring doctor and every time I've called for any reason I talk to the rudest women I ever have in my life. I'm done, I'll never go back there or recommend. Had a serious issue with a prescription running out and they are currently my only doctor with all my history. Neurocare Stark County has top notch doctors. It has been in operation for 30+ years and the doctors are the best in the Brain, Pain, and Sleep departments. I highly recommend Dr. J. CASANOVA, DR. M. AlJaberi, or Dr. J. Berke. Dr. Casanova is the best! He listens and really cares about his patients long-term health. Also, the practice has excellent front desk staff--Rita is fabulous-- and the patient portal is fantastic for meds, appt scheduling and fast answers from docs. Dr. AlJaberi is so easy to talk to and really checks on patients. I was in the hospital and he came to check on me because I was a Neurocare patient. Dr. Berke treated me as a teen and he tells it like it is with no frills which is a rare quality in a doctor and appreciated by this patient. While I feel the doctors are good, the way they run their business is terrible. If you have any questions trying to contact the office can take several days. They tend not to return your calls even for a drug reaction issue like I had. I know the options in this area are limited but this is unacceptable for a medical service. read more

The most incompetent staff and doctors ever, in 2009 I was seeing Dr. Baghat I ended up having status epilepticus my wife called neurocare center and requested the dr. Call her back. Well, after 7 months in the hospital 1 month of that in a coma, and 4 years of rehab we have never gotten a call. So needless to say when I returned to canton in january of 2014 I was leary when my family dr referred me back there. I gave them a second chance, boy was I wrong.. I showed up on april 9th for an appointment that had been scheduled for close to a month. When I went to check in the receptionist informed me Dr stalker had to reschedule me to may 12th. Unfortunately, no one decided to let the patient know, so I wasted to bus passes for an appointment that I should have been contacted about. They have a $50 charge for no shows on appointments I wonder how they will feel when they get my bill for $55.00 50 for the dr no showing and another 5 for wasted bus fare. Best part of all of this is when the dr's at Case Western medical center finally figured out the reason for the status epilepticus they told me it could have been easily corrected if my neurologist at the time would have told me about a side effect of my meds. I've only selected 1 star bc I had to to leave a comment. After pregnancy I developed some sort of auto immune disorder that no one has been able to figure out. I have terrible joint pain throughout my body. My primary dr started referring me to different specialist to try and find out the root of the problem after seeing 6 different ones neurology was the next since I had numbness in my legs and terrible headaches. Anyway to try and sum up my experience neurology care was THE WORST MOST UNCARING PLACE as soon as I walked in the door. From the receptionist to the nurse to the dr. As soon as the dr (Casanova) walked in the room his first words were "I don't know why you are here we don't deal with joint pain" didn't want to hear my story was not interested in helping me running any tests NOTHING. They made me feel completely uncomfortable and like am inconvienence. They said everything was normal I guess intense chronic joint pain headaches and numbness in a 30 year old is normal upon leaving no one helped us out told us where to go or was helpful someone actually yelled at us from down the hall. I wouldn't send my sick cat there. I was very disappointed in my care There I thought doctors were in their profession to help people.
