I LOVE Dr. Rose. We have two cats (litter mates) with IBD. She helped me get their IBD under control while still being mindful of any other health issues. She takes the time to answer all my questions. I like that she gives me options. She's also very kind and has a great sense of humor. Our cats are living better lives thanks to her.

Salt River Veterinary Specialists are incredible. Our dog Theo had bladder stones, and SRVS scheduled us to see Dr. Radlinsky the next day. After having some unsatisfying consults with other groups we were scared and stress but Dr. Radlinsky and her assistant were both extremely knowledgable and evidence-based in their approaches. They took time to explain everything and answer our questions thoroughly. The procedure was very reasonable compared to other quotes we had acquired (they only charge you for what is necessary)- but honestly that's not why we chose this group; after meeting Dr. Radlinsky and her assistant, we knew our dog was in the right hands. The cystoscopy was minimally invasive. Our dog was able to go home that day, didn't need a cone (because we could stay home with him), and they helped us control his pain. His incision healed nicely and the office has followed up twice to make sure he is doing OK and to answer our questions. I feel so relieved to know this practice exists. Pic is of our little guy soaking up the sun less than 1 week post surgery.

10 1/2 years young!

After multiple different vets, blood panels, ultrasounds and surgery, we were told to go to an internal specialist and found ourselves at Salt River Cet with Dr Auguirre. Our beloved 5 year old super mix, Bronson, was diagnosed with chronic active hepatitis. He was in rough shape. A diagnosis like that has a prognosis of 3, maybe 5 years. Dr Auguirre knew exactly what to do and with his incredible knowledge, kind bedside manner and excellent team, Bronson is now 10 1/2 years and living his best life. Thank you for saving our boy and giving us even more time with the world's most special boy

I have attached screenshots of my efforts to text them and the voicemails they left saying it's too hard to text to schedule.

I have NEVER been so frustrated with a vet before. They are the absolute WORST to get in contact with and trying to schedule. I submitted a stupid form online only to not receive a call back for DAYS. I called three times in one day to get NO CALL BACK. I called and left voicemails BEGGING for them to text me or email me so we can plan something for my dog to get in since my primary vet recommended them. Now they finally texted yesterday but have not ANSWERED any of my text or calls and continue to call at arbitrary times leaving condensing voicemails about "it's hard to schedule through text" when my question is clear. DO YOU HAVE APPOINTMENT IF SO WHEN. So so so rude. So unprofessional. Do not recommend. Even MY VET tried contacting them and said to just go elsewhere now. I wanted to go here. They obviously didn't want my fur baby or I here.

Omg! Dr. Aguirre is truly amazing! I have so much to say. The staff is incredible. My Emmett was so well taken care of through his ultrasound and colonoscopy. I cannot say enough good things!

Our Jack Russell Terrier-izer Reggie, has been ultra-healthy his entire life (he'll be 11 on Valentine's Day). We visited his regular vet, the outstanding Dr. Bourne at Quartz Mtn. Vet, who referred us to Dr. Aguirre and Salt River Veterinary due to significant respiratory issues. Little did we know that Dr. Aguirre is a diagnostic device innovator, textbook author, and renowned expert in his field--and right here in our community. Dr. Aguirre performed an endoscopic procedure, obtained multiple biopsies, and has personally contacted me twice in the past 48 hours, post-procedure, in addition to calls from his medical assistants, inquiring about Reggie's recovery (which is going great). He thoroughly explained our options pre-procedure as well as possible outcomes and our alternatives. He answered each and every question thoroughly and helped us understand the significance of Reggie's issues. Dr. Aguirre also had images from other similar procedures to help us understand what he recommended for diagnostics and treatment. He went as far above and beyond as possible to allay our stress and our concerns. We could not ask for a better clinician, with more compassion; not to mention proficiency and capability than Dr. Aguirre and his ENTIRE staff! WOW! We are most fortunate that we were referred to such a great team for our best dog-friend's health! Could not recommend Salt River Vet Specialists more highly.

My dog developed a tumor in his bladder and was having extreme difficulty urinating. Dr. Aguirre performed an ultrasound and stated he needed to immediately install a ureteral stent, to save my dog's life. He stated that my dog would be "peeing normally" by the end of the day when I came back to pick him up, so I agreed to the $3,225 operation. After the operation, I noticed a vet assistant was outside with my dog and my dog was still straining to urinate. When I informed Dr. Aguirre of this, he stated that my dog had just went "pee like a race horse" and maybe he just didn't have any liquids in him when I saw him outside. He then later showed me an ultrasound video of before and after and it showed no obstructions and urine exiting the bladder correctly. The next day, still no improvement, but was told to wait a week. I then took my dog back the next week, as zero improvement. Upon this evaluation, Dr. Aguirre stated that he misread the initial ultrasound - that my dog had a much larger tumor than he originally thought. He also stated in hindsight, he should have installed a longer stent. When I asked about having another operation, he stated he would need to charge me another $3,225. He then stated if nothing was done, my dog would not die from the urethra obstruction. I asked about the ultrasound video he showed to me when I came to pick up my dog -- which showed no obstructions. He told me the video was of another dog and that he showed me the video, so that I could see the results of a successful operation. He made me think originally the video I was watching was of my dog. To make matters worse, Dr. Aguirre charged my credit card $85 for this office visit, for him to tell me he was very sorry that he performed the operation incorrectly and misread the ultrasound. A few months after this ordeal, my dog died. I felt I was entitled to full refund of the $3,225 for his gross incompetence. Dr. Aguirre has refused to return my calls and emails concerning this matter.

Happy Dog

Not long after checking them out my pup told me it was time and we went immediately to them on a Friday morning when they opened. They had the perfect room for him. It was the corner one with the big window. My pup loved being outside and it was the perfect spot for him, he stared outside the window into nature. They gave us a whole cart of treats to give to him and the doctor and staff was so kind and compassionate. The staff from the very first time we walked in to the time I was called to pick his ashes up was absolutely amazing. It was the only time they truly saw him and it felt like they had cared for him so many times before. I couldn't of ask for a better place and staff to have my dog cared for. They were so kind to us and even complimented on how good he was but that was his demeanor, he was always kind and sweet. Thank you Scottsdale animal Hospital! The vet came in next we discussed the options, he has arthritis and allergies. She let us know of an injection for arthritis we never knew existed. She really loves animals and out dog, who is a ham. We asked going forward if we could get a room immediately and they said yes and asked if we wanted one with an exit door, so our dogs do not have to go through the waiting room. We said yes. Again never asked that by any vet. You can pay right in the room, another win. We have another dog who needs to be looked at. I can tell you as someone who just moved here, we will use them 100% for all our dogs and their needs! Added bonus we are able to schedule with the same vet going forward, which is great because they get to know your pet and their personality.

We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. Barkley was in such great hands. Thank you to the The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team!

I feel like I won the actual veterinary lottery…read more My cat, Baby, is 23 years old. Yes, twenty-three. She has earned every wrinkle, whisker, and ounce of attitude she possesses. She's been doing this odd mouth movement after eating, and while my previous vet wasn't overly concerned, my gut told me to dig deeper. Enter Dr. Sanders at Scottsdale Cat Clinic, and suddenly the universe felt balanced again. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made us feel calm, welcomed, and genuinely cared for. The clinic itself feels like it was designed by someone who truly understands cats, not just medically, but emotionally. Quiet. Peaceful. Respectful of feline dignity. And then there's Dr. Sanders. I have never, in 23 years of caring for Baby, seen a veterinarian be so thorough, patient, gentle, and intuitive. She didn't rush. She didn't dismiss anything. She examined Baby with the kind of care you'd expect if she were handling something priceless, which frankly, she was. What absolutely floored me was Baby's reaction. Baby, who has opinions. Baby, who does not simply "allow" handling. Baby calmly let Dr. Sanders examine her mouth, her body, everything. I stood there in disbelief. It was like watching a cat whisperer at work. The nurses and staff deserve their own standing ovation. Every single person was kind, attentive, and clearly invested in making both pets and humans feel safe and heard. No one treated Baby like "just an old cat." They treated her like the cherished family member she is. I left feeling informed, reassured, and deeply grateful. If you love your cat. And I mean really love your cat. This is where you go. No question. No hesitation. Dr. Sanders and the entire Scottsdale Cat Clinic team have earned my trust, my loyalty, and this glowing review. Dr Trembly made recommendations about what he believed should be done for baseline but was not pushy or made me feel like a bad furmom for not doing some of the recommendations. I knew when Osita had reached her limit of being out of her comfort zone & wanted to go home to her own space. So, I opted against some of the recommendations. But I do have a follow up in a couple weeks to make sure she's on the right track or if we have to explore other options. I feel really comfortable here & while I was still anxious when they took Osita to another room for an ultrasound, I still felt some level of comfort that she was in good hands. I will absolutely be back & would absolutely recommend this clinic.
