I thought being towed on a Saturday would cost over 500.00 but it was only 265.00 The entire repair including diagnosis and towing was only 1056.12 after tax. I thought that was very inexpensive for the quality of the service. If we are ever in trouble in that part of the world again, I will definitely be calling them! Never say never!! Of course we get stuck just off the road that is not labeled on any map or gps. Was quoted $600PLUS from salt flats towing (due to being greater than 20 feet from i80- but like who gets stuck in the mud on a highway anyways?? Lol) before finding Ricks number. I gave him our location based off the colors and directions of the surrounding mountains / flats and he found us no problem! And less than a third of the cost! On a recent mineral collecting expedition, we experienced trouble with the anti-theft system on a Ford Expedition. The system turned on and the truck wouldn't start. After some time, we managed to get it started and drive to West Wendover. We took the truck to Brad's, but could not simulate the problem. We told him where we were headed-- a remote hilltop 80 miles away on the Utah border. He promised to look for us if we did not check back in. I had food poisoning that day from one of the local casinos. And as luck would have it, we were stranded on the mountain. High up a reasonably steep and rough dirt road. Night fell, no Brad. We contacted Ford by standing on the ridge in a lightning storm, demanding to know how to start the car. My German friend kept insisting that this anti-theft system on an off road vehicle could kill someone. Well it's funny how messages change when they pass hands. The Ford employee called the local Sheriff and told him that someone was going into diabetic shock on the mountain. Around midnight, we watched a truck with flashing lights drive up the mountain. The Sheriff was a nice man, offered me gatorade for my ailing stomach, and called off the ambulace. Minutes later, Brad appeared. He'd been searching for us for hours. Unable to start the truck, he came back the next morning with a tow truck. No way the truck could get up the mountain, so Brad drove it down in neutral with very limited brakes. It was quite a sight. I'll do some crazy things, but no way I'd pilot that truck down the mountain without fully functioning brakes. He charged us a negligible fee for all the time, effort, and risk he took to help us, and we were towed to the nearest Ford dealership as Ford will not allow small shops to work on the electronics for the theft systems. It was really a funny night, stressed out germans, food poisoning, a lightning storm, and emergency vehicles chasing false reports in one of the most remote areas a person can find in the U.S. We were contacted by a reporter from Salt Lake the next morning. This shop has earned my respect when I'm in this corner of nowhere.

Don't allow your money to go to crooks that don't even pretend to take care of you. You are better off lighting your money on fire and watching it burn than giving it to these pirates. The medium length story. My wife recently experienced the death of her mother (who lives in Cali.) We moved out to California shortly before her passing of terminal cancer in a rushed fashion, leaving one of our cars back in Utah. A family member broke down crossing the salt flats, and State Farm decided to tow it to these guys. After a week of calling them every other day, and talking to a teenager (with babies crying in the background?) who kept telling me "the mechanic is busy" or "out" and "Can I call you back tomorrow?" They finally gave me a diagnosis. $750 for a timing belt !!!! (and "there might be other stuff wrong with it, but they have to fix the timing belt to see first") . That sounded high to me, I remembered being quoted in the $300's back in Salt Lake a year ago, and I mentioned that to him. He told me "normally when people quote you that low, they aren't giving you a warranty, and they are making you buy the parts yourself..." I would like to know what planet this kid thinks we live on. I have never, ever, had an auto repair shop request me to go get the part, because that is something that they normally round up the cost of, and make a little extra money. What a dummy. I called him on that, and then he said "Well, we are just small shops out here, and we can't provide the same types of prices as in Salt Lake." After I hung up with him, I called 2 other shops, one in SLC and one in Wendover, that both quoted me in the $300 range. So, to make a long story short, I paid them a $50 diagnostic fee, found another mechanic willing to pick it up and fix it, and I told them to get it out into the parking lot for him to pickup. When I asked if the other mechanic (called "The Shop" in Wendover) could just go inside to get the keys, he said "No, we are going to leave the car unlocked and just leave the keys in there somewhere." REALLY! You can't even do me the basic courtesy of locking my car until he picks it up! It's just sad that people like this exist. I hope this review steers people away from these uncaring, shady people. BUYER BEWARE!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

They told me it was a $700 cancellation fee when the part only costs $836. They told us that $700 restocking fee multiple times. I called and spoke with someone the next day and he said it was a %20 percent restocking fee. They wouldn't give me the name of the company they ordered it from to check the actual price and restocking fee price. They also ordered the parts BEFORE they had a signed authorization, about 9 hours before. They also charged a $100 office fee. What the heck!? An office fee!? They should've paid me for the amount of times I had to call to get through to them after they had my car! CROOKS! DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE THERE. GO TO SLC OR THE NEXT TOWN WEST!
