Upon calling I discovered she had recently passed away. But I was told I was speaking with Dr Shadé. I'd read about her on their website. She said it was certainly up to me but many of Leah's patients had turned to her. She explained they had a spa you could enjoy, etc. So I made an appointment. Next day was available. I don't know what to say. I'd read the reviews. No alarms went off, but let me put it this way -- my husband did not want me to go in alone. The parking lot was deserted, the building not in good repair. There was not a person in sight. But the reviews were okay. . . clients praised the place. I met Dr Shadé and filled out paperwork. Besides our pleasant conversation, it was crickets. Not a soul around. That's rather spooky. She invited me to use the "spa" which, as described by another reviewer, was actually a very dark steam shower, I presume, as I backed away, it was awfully small. As described by others there were no "relaxing and calming scents, sounds and laid back atmosphere. To the variety of teas to help yourself to". Sounds like what you'd expect from a spa. Not the frenzy of trying to get the phones fixed I encountered. She proceeded with my treatment with great care. We talked a lot as she worked the needles. For a first-timer it was perfectly pleasant. She's a very nice person. Knowing how bad off I am she did a deep massage as well. I honestly hate to point out that the place is in shambles. I hung my clothes on a broken suit rack. There were crock pots on the floor, etc. The place is just a worn out mess. I regret that I did not take pictures. If you find happiness here I'm supportive of you. I'll stick with Utica Ihloff for my spa and perhaps find acupuncture elsewhere.

First let me start off by saying I was very skeptical of the AO scan but within the first 15 mins of my appointment I was shocked by how in-depth the scan really was! She puts a headset on your temple and the scan starts reading your body. It doesn't hurt, it's just a sound you hear. You can watch the TV monitor as it goes through your body showing you the tissues, cells, all of it! After the scan is done, she goes over it and talks to you. She spends 1 full hour with you...I've NEVER spent more than 20 mins with a doctor before!! She can see what the underlying root cause of whatever problem you're having is. She was able to see so much that I wasn't even aware of. After reviewing the scan she creates a treatment plan with recommendations on foods to eat, foods to avoid, exercises to start doing, and supplements to take. Pain that didn't care what part of my cycle I was in. Pain that made going to the bathroom so painful. I told him I felt like all my organs were being constricted by hot barbed wire. I explained to him that I had a previous diagnosis of PCOS and have had moments of intense/excruciating pain before (when I believed a cyst was bursting) but it would pass, I had never experienced persistent pain like this before. I had been to an OBGYN that did a physical exam and said my uterus was fixed and he could feel one of my ovaries was enlarged. This OBGYN was who told me I most likely had endometriosis, but unfortunately he only did ablation-not excision surgery. I then went to a different OBGYN that was horrible! He acted like he was listening but completely dismissed everything and told me that it sounds like I just have IBS. I left that office and got to my car and cried. I immediately started looking for another doctor and that's when I found Dr. Roehl. During my appointment with Dr. Roehl he immediately validated what I had been feeling and agreed that it sounded like endometriosis. He made me feel so comfortable and answered any and all questions I had! I had my laparoscopic endometriosis excision surgery on 12/18/2025. He found stage 3 endometriosis on my ovaries, uterus, bowel and bladder. I could not recommend Dr. Roehl enough! He is so kind and knowledgeable!
