The instructor ( Joanna) created instruction manual's for everyone in the class. The class included Reiki history, and Reiki practice exercise and everything that you would need to practice Reiki for yourself and others. The instructor was always available for any question that I had even outside of the class. I have a child with Autism and aggression, my family and I were under a lot of stress. I was amazed how much Joanna cared about my family and atoned my autistic son to Reiki 1. Once my son was atoned he no longer hit and we were able to calm him down a lot better. I went to doctor Wagner because of bad pain in my knee and hip. After 10 minutes, he said I…read morepronated (which I don't) and the pain was from osteoarthritis in my knee (which it isn't). He said that the remedy was a $1700 out of pocket treatment. My intuition told me differently. I went to PT and found out I had a sprained ankle and hip rotation that was throwing off my gait, both causing all the pain. They taped my ankle and have me doing different exercise to rebalance and get stronger and the pain is 95% gone at this point with still a few sessions to go. I have a healthy distrust of healthcare professionals born from experiences like this. I dodged a $1700 bullet. My advice to you is don't believe everything you are told, do your own research and use your intuition.

Now that I have begun my nursing career, I find shiatsu to be a great addition to help avoid muscle injury and fatigue. Liz is also a licensed physical therapist and incorporates her training and experience in PT into her shiatsu practice. Liz is down-to-earth and friendly and happy to chat with you during your session or respect your preference for silence. She doesn't use any offensive, scented oils or lotions in her practice and you get to keep your clothes on! She makes sure to check in with you to ask about pain throughout the treatment. Her fee is very reasonable in my opinion - $90 for one hour. You pay Liz directly for scheduling and payment so there is no having to deal with the Becoming Center as a middle-man.
