Staff was great, they have so many more tint percentages and we found a perfect match. The place itself has a vibe....sick decor, awesome music playing, free water and soda as you wait. It was very busy, but they had reasonable pricing and got me in and out quickly. I was more impressed that when I got my Jeep back, there was protection on the carpet and steering wheel as well as an instruction card hanging from the mirror. No scraps of tint and no water marks dripped at all! So happy I made the 45 minute drive to my new place for mods! Thanks Kurt and crew...will definitely be back.

I took it back and they lowered the tank slightly so the valve could open. Not long after my check engine light came on and codes P0442 and P0446 popped up. The mechanic admitted they put the gas tank on too tight, which led to the solenoid malfunction. They offered to fix it for $500! I don't recommend anyone take their vehicle here. They have a pattern of creating more problems for their customers than solving them.

After spending $1,000 I was assured that DMV would pass my car because of the amount of money I spent and it failed for mechanical issues, not safety issues. After months of texts and calls to them, then an irate text because then I got a ticket for the inspection in OCTOBER, they told me they spent too many hours on the phone with DMV, 80+ hours, blah blah blah, and they were done. So I call DMV myself and within 1/2 hour on the phone, my job (which was really their job) was done. DMV had to contact them because the receipt they gave me was not written up properly according to DMV. Needless to say, Rich was accurate with what he said about DMV passing it, but it had to be reinspected within a month, from May to October didn't qualify!!! DMV had them redo the inspection and lo and behold, it's taken care of. They cannot honestly tell me they spend that many hours with DMV yet I accomplished all, the call, emailing DMV, everything, in 30 minutes!! As far as I'm concerned, they got their $1,000 and left me out to dry, having to do their job for them!!! I'd rather walk then to have my car repaired by them again. I hate nothing more than an untrustworthy liar and that's what they are. So if you're looking for a reliable mechanic... KEEP LOOKING!!!! If you're looking to get screwed, Rich and Shawn are your men and best of luck to you, you'll need it! *Please note... Smitty's has taken us on short notice, long notice, quick fixes, longer multi-part a/c investigations, brake replacements and re-replacements, and we'll keep coming back. Wi-fi in the waiting area and easy after-hours dropoff. Signage in the front could be better--it's easy to drive past past it the first time.

I went to garage and spoke with Will. I told him this Corvette is my baby, treat it with love. I was traveling and he said leave it with us, I have a good Chevy mechanic. I came back, the valve cover gaskets were installed and I was road worthy. Mind you, his shop is busy with summer auto problems, I'm thankful he was able to get me zoomin'. The big question is, why do they get 5 stars? When they changed the valve cover gaskets, they took the time to clean off the residue oil that splattered out. They've done all my basic maintenance, usually just brake pad, battery, inspection related. Always done in a relatively timely fashion for a fair price. Never once tried to upsell me on extra work in order to pass inspection. My most recent encounter with them, which is what really motivated me to leave this review, was especially appreciated. I don't know much about cars, but there was something a little stiff with my steering, and I thought maybe the power steering or some belt was going. Took it into East Setauket Auto and asked them to take a look at it and let me know what needed to be done. They could've told me numerous things and hit me with some multi hundred dollar charges, but instead they looked at it and honestly told me nothing was wrong with it and no work needed to be done so I picked my car up no charge. That type of honesty is priceless and will recommend this auto shop to everyone who needs one. Great people here. On top of all that the place just looks cool- convenient location in a nice area- retro, old school style office and shop, feels like going back in time in a good way.
