It was my first visit and I was extremely impressed. Very friendly atmosphere and very good communication. I usually work on my own cars but age and time have become factors. They found the issue with the car after a very thorough inspection and diagnostics. It was a great experience and I will now be a steady customer. Full and complete explanations on the bill as to what work was performed and recommendations on future needs. A very competent and professional staff. read more

I had used them once b4 for an oil change and I found them through Google and the reviews for Ossies were very good, especially by women. My inspection was past due and they took me in pretty quick and I met Ossie himself. He is very kind and explained what I have to keep up on a 13 yrold Buick lacrosse with only 51 thousand miles on her. Very kind and he cared and they offer a ride to and back to the shop if it's an all day job. That is something I would need as I am fairly new to the area. I will 100% recommend Ossies and I found my mechanic! When you move and have to find all new services who won't rip you off, being a single woman is difficult. Ossies never made me feel uncertain about my choice. Thank you Ossies for making me at ease finding a good and very fair mechanic. read more

Be very careful they had our car for a routine inspection but said due to an issue that would need to be addressed and cost upwards of $700. + And up. I felt uneasy and We brought car to another mechanic who looked the entire car over with a fine tooth comb and he couldn't understand what they were talking about. He also said the part in question shouldn't cost more than $50- $100.00 And Said no such issue existed at all. He even kept the car longer to make sure. read more

Absolutely the best mechanic I have ever randomly chosen based on reviews alone. They are friendly, did not push or even mention repairs that I may or may not have really needed. Efficient and clean I will go back now for everything I need for my car! read more

HIGHLY recommend. Recently moved to the area and was pleasantly surprised by the courteous service, honesty and reasonable pricing. This will be my go-to. As a bonus, the waiting room is super comfortable and welcoming, and drinks and snacks are available. read more

My friend asked me to bring his car in to get the NYS inspection (he's recovering from a broken leg). He says he gets all his work done at Ossie's in Bohemia. I had never been there so I was curious as to what it was like. Well let me tell you this, it was wonderful! The receptionist was a doll, the waiting room had nicer furniture than my living room, and the bathroom was exquisite! You can tell a lot about a place by how the bathroom looks and it was very nice! You could tell the owner put some money into his business, and cared about his customers impressions. They did the inspection in a timely manner, and I was very happy with my entire experience. I would definitely recommend Ossie's to anyone looking for a auto repair shop! read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ossie's Auto Repair, Ossie, Ian and their team are very courteous, professional, knowledgeable and most importantly honest with the work they do and services they provide. And honesty in a good auto repair shop (never mind the dealership) is very hard to come by! read more

Laura was good about getting me in for a NY State Inspection at 8:30a:m prior to her 9:00 a:m appt. I felt very welcomed and the hospitality was nice. They gave me a thorough computer generated print out of the things I needed To have repaired before my car passed inspection. It was no pressure whether I returned to them or went someone else... the choice was mine. Of course I went back... they verified the things that was wrong earlier and I passed the inspection. Thanks again Laura and the Ozzie crew read more

Boy am I thankful I found this place. Needed a pre-purchase inspection on a BMW. Ian found a million issues with it - prior damage not reported to CARFAX, codes being thrown, oil dripping, etc etc. He knows BMW's inside out. Obviously I didn't buy the car. He saved me five figures. Highly recommended. read more

I have passed by here so many times on my way to work that when I needed some work done to my car, I figured I will try out Ossie's and have it done here. Huge mistake. They kept my car for five hours and then text me a report stating I don't just need the work done I came in for, I actually need close to $2,000 worth of work. So I said "can I just come pick up the car" and they said Yes. While I am there, Ossie goes on and on about a special brake fitting I have on my car and it is illegal. I pay for the oil change and take my car to another shop. 90% of what was suggested wasn't necessary, the mysterious brake fitting he stated was present wasn't and the total repair cost me $485. So he tried to take advantage and thankfully I said no. I will never come there and unbeknownst to Ossie, I come in contact with a large amount of people every day. Typically 15-20 and about 3,000 in a year. I will be telling them about my experience so they don't go there either. read more

I have known Ossie for over 30 years. It is hard to find an auto mechanic that will tell you the truth and not rip you off. His shop is the only place I'd take my car and company truck for repairs. I know he is doing the right thing. I highly recommend Ossie's Auto Repair. read more

Ossie and his staff are top notch! I honestly wouldn't trust my car to any other shop. I am informed of the health of my car by text message or emailed reports, with recommended services and pictures. A phone call gets you a staff member, or Ossie himself to answer any questions. They are never pushy to sell, just inform me of what's needed so I can make an educated decision. Ossie and his technicians are knowledgeable and professional. The waiting room is comfortable and bathroom is clean. Thank you Ossie and staff for keeping me safe! read more

I rarely bring my cars to a mechanic for service since I do most repairs necessary. Of course my family's "fleet" of cars needs NY state inspection every year. I tried Ossie's a few years ago and I'll keep on going back. I never feel pressured into getting work done. They provide a fantastic electronic report viewable on your phone that details the results of their inspection with recommended services. I even have been having the place do repairs when I'm too busy with work to do myself. Repairs have been done correctly and at a reasonable cost relative to the parts costs. I've sent my coworkers to Ossie's since I work nearby and they have reported a positive experience. Scheduling is a pleasant experience and they are very accommodating. read more

The best feeling is knowing that you can trust your mechanic. No one wants to spend extra money on parts and services that are unnecessary. Ossie's auto repair shop is the definition of quality and trust. I love that I can bring my car to a place where I know they won't feed me lies just to make a couple extra bucks. They genuinely care and it for sure shows when you go! Highly recommend :-) read more

Extremely knowledgeable, fair prices, honest and thorough. The auto repair guru.Trust your vehicle with Ossie!!

After 2400$ just to pass inspection, (I take care of my car, this was a first)! It still did NOT pass inspection!! So, a catalytic converter at 780$ (he pads the parts ) was not the problem an oxygen sensor was not the problem, (at 150) also padded price, tires , that he padded 20$ each was not the problem, after two weeks of "letting the computer reset" turns out another oxygen sensor was the issue!! So, me thinks he started with the most Expensive part FIRST !! You can't choose your family, but you can choose your car care !! I going back to FIRESTONE care centers. They were reliable. Still got good brakes three years later!!! NO COMMISSIONS at Firestone !! read more
