My wife had been going to Curtis Van Davis when they were located on Oakwood Drive and highly recommended that I try to get an appointment with Misty. We have stuck with her for the last three years now! She is fantastic and attentive with all of her clients. The new location is quite a nice change! I liked the Oakwood location, but I no longer have to worry about parking and traffic by the plaza. The Curtis Van Davis house has a laid-back atmosphere and nice layout with multiple rooms for appointments, the front desk, and even a spot in the front for coffee and snacks while you wait. So if you are looking for a new hair salon check out Curtis Van Davis and ask for Misty!

This review is long overdue. I cannot recommend Chrissy enough. I first went in for a haircut with…read moreChrissy in August 2025. I had long thick hair, all the way down to the small of my back, and I wanted to cut it all off. I had been thinking about cutting it for over a year. I had reference photos of exactly what I wanted. I was hoping to get something similar or at least approximating. Chrissy spent 30 minutes examining the reference photos and video from all angles, examining the shape of my head thoroughly, and for the first time in my life, I had a stylist tell me exactly how they'd recreate what I want on my head, instead of suggesting something sort of like it. She explained to me small adjustments she'd have to make to get the same effect so it would look the way I wanted. After the cut, I got home and wanted to cry, because for the first time I left a salon looking EXACTLY how I pictured it in my head, and not sort of like what I wanted or some compromise. She is an artist. I've been in for numerous touch-ups and through my short hair journey, she has listened to me and the new ways I experiment with styling my hair, and the style continues to evolve. Earlier this week I went in for a touch up, and she wanted to really get it right so we sat down and looked at pictures online of what I wanted, and again, she accomplished it beautifully on my head. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Chrissy. She's also super sweet and just a pleasure to spend time with. Pictures show my before (with glasses) and after shots.

Upon entering the salon you're greeted with a relaxing but trendy atmosphere. The salon is home to two stylists but it's still very spacious for a small salon. I had my first appointment with Chrissy this morning and I am so happy with the way my hair looks! I'm a stylist as well and in the past I have gone to other stylists and not always been fully satisfied with the results. Needless to say I felt completely at ease as soon as I sat in Chrissy's chair. She understood exactly what I wanted to work towards and knew the things that needed to be corrected. I also fully applaud her ability to juggle several clients at once. She transitioned from client to client so well and made sure we were all taken care of. My service ended up being a color correction due to some work from a previous stylist that had to be fixed. She blended my color melt seamlessly and gave me a great starting point to go even lighter next time. Pricing is on point and worth every bit of it! I can confidently say that I'll most definitely be returning and Chrissy made sure to book my next appointment before I left.

Lifesavers! I found…read morethis place via a Facebook group I follow that gave this place a thumbs up for affordability and quality. Who can resist a review like that? Put in a last minute appointment today to fix my severely dry, damaged and color treated hair as they were just about to close for the day and they were so kind as to squeeze me in. So first of all, I'm grateful for fitting me in. I am not usually the kind of person to walk in as a place is shutting down but I had this sort of emotional limit today where I just couldn't wait anymore after half a year to do something about this. I have been having a fam member practice on my hair and it went really badly last time with my hair literally melting off my scalp so they fixed my hair to look more put together. No pics for obvious reasons so here are a couple of my daughter being spoiled by their staff. She was having a hard time with her mom's long locks getting cut off and they gave her a bow to pick out and added glitter to her hair. Oh and lollipops. Plenty of lollipops. It was a much needed relief today. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I feel like I am given honest advice and not told to do needless things to my hair just for a sale. It's a very small place with only a few stylists, but it's very clean and has a good relaxed positive vibe. Not like a chain that's recycling customers as fast as they can. It seems to be in a sea if salons back behind Stratford rd, but I don't feel the need to try any other places. My hair is fine right and for a fair price. The stylist I use is always continuing her education going on trips and staying current. I love that! I have a smoothing treatment done on my hair and there is always a new product that is better than the last. I like that they stay ahead of the curve here and only use trusted products.

Heads up Ladies! This will not be your average, boring old review, so, grab a cup of coffee (or…read more"toddy"), whatever suits you and get ready for a semi-short story. My name is Penny and I recently moved to Graham, NC, from Houston, TX. Since I made a rather "quick" exit (Hah!), I didn't have time to get my roots colored and highlights refreshed before I left town. LSS, after two weeks, I was desparate (and grey) and spent about 5 days on Google trying to find a new hairdresser. My previous hairdresser and dear friend, Sandy, has done my hair for 20 years so you can imagine my angst in trying to replace her.. AAACCCCHHHHH!!! And, it's Christmas....OMG! At any rate, I stumbled upon Pepper and made an appointment for Friday, December 29. To say that we "hit it off", is a major understatement. First, she interviewed me to make sure she fit my needs and let me know that she is very blunt and doesn't pull punches...Well, that's my kinda girl!! She even converted me to Keratin. Sandy used Paul Mitchell. I was hesitant, but everything she said about the product was accurate. {1) ...that it would last longer... I'm NOT even grey yet and it's January 11 !! And with PM, I was getting grey roots in 2 weeks. {2)...that it was healthier, shinier, and all around, a much better product than PM...Well, It does seem to be healthier AND....it's shiny. I LOVE IT and would never go back to PM. In the next 1 1/2 hours that followed, we became besties. Rarely do you meet someone you become "fast" friends with and feel you've known them forever. Well, that happened and not only did she do an even better job than Sandy, but she and I have become close friends, after only 1 meeting! My next appointment is Jan. 24 and CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HER! UNBELIEVABLE and definitely "meant to be". So, if you are looking for an exceptional hairdresser who is professional, thorough, and REALLY, REALLY cares and will entertain you, at the same time, Pepper's your girl. Can't say enough about her and/or the Salon who was evidently smart enough to hire her. Bottom line....I LOVE HER, and she's got me as a customer and friend for life!!!!
