Jehn truly has MAGIC HANDS! ‍…read more I have been going to Jehn for over 25 years, and there is honestly no one else I would ever trust with my hair! I lovingly call her "Magic Hands" because somehow, every single time I sit in her chair, she works her magic and I leave feeling absolutely beautiful. Jehn is also the only person my daughter and I trust with our hair. She knows exactly what works for us, listens to what we want, and consistently makes both of our hair look absolutely GORGEOUS. Her talent, experience, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients are truly unmatched. That trust runs so deep that I'm planning to move to Florida, and my daughter and I have already said we will fly back to Massachusetts once a month just to have Jehn do our hair! If that doesn't tell you how incredible she is, I don't know what will! After more than 25 years, she's so much more than my hairdresser. She's someone I trust completely, and I can't imagine anyone else touching my hair. Jehn, you will forever be our Magic Hands! We love you, appreciate you, and are so grateful for the many years you've kept us looking and feeling beautiful. There truly is no one better! A million stars if I could!

I just wanted a cut, no shampoo as I had just washed it that morning and decided later to get a hair cut. They didn't tell me it was still going to be $24, otherwise I would've just let them do it! They call it a "makeover package ". They used to have a sign at the entrance telling you how much a basic cut started at. Now there's nothing. I asked Cassidy about the cost after I looked at my receipt and she told me it's corporate. So I called corporate 7/24/19 to which they took my info and told me a name of a supervisor that would call me back. Nearly a week and nothing. I called again 7/30/19, this time stating my anger of how unprofessional this is and I'm insulted. Let's see how long it takes this time!

While searching around for local salons, I came across Hair Obsession, one of the few places in the area with a website (every business should have one these days). Because it was the one place I could find the most information on, I decided to give them a try. Being new to the area, I was just going to have to make a blind choice. I was given an appointment with Jenn, who is just wonderful. Friendly and personable, she's also quick and very skilled. She cut my hair exactly how I described the last few times I've gone, and I always leave loving the result. Hair Obsession is not expensive by any means. $25 will get you a wash, cut, and blow dry. I was paying $40 at my previous salon, so this is a great savings for me. The salon has recently been remodeled, so almost everything is brand new. Aside from hair services, they also offer waxing, facials, and nails.

I first went to this…read moresalong in the fall of 2011 after being disgusted with the horrible "hairdressers" at New Outlooks in Lunenburg. I went onto Yelp and found a great review about Cabel Salon and I made an appointment right away with Summer. I have been back 5 times and this is now my permanent salon. The salon is small, but beautifully decorated/renovated. It is very clean with beautiful stations. The owner does a wonderful job at making her salon look updated and modern in this small town. My hairdresser, Summer, I would recommend to every girl who wants their hair to look great but does not feel like shelling out $200+ in Boston every 6 weeks. She is young and pretty and has a great haircut herself. She takes the time to listen to what you want and clarify any questions she might have. She is friendly and you get the feeling that she is really going to take the time on your hair to do it right. When it is all done she'll ask you if there is anything you don't like or want fix and she'll go right in and fix it for you. You don't have to feel like you have to leave the salon without your hair the way you want it. The prices are amazing! I get a full-foil, trim, and eyebrows waxed for about $85! Plus, she doesn't simply blow dry your hair, she styles it beautifully with a straightening iron or curling iron and you leave there feeling great! This is a great salon for any young girl who wants someone to understand the style they want and how to achieve it. If you go to Cabel Salon ask for Summer or Kelly. Kelly is the owner and is also young, pretty and talented. Either stylist will do a wonderful job with your hair and stay within your budget!

I think like most other things, some of the burden lies with the customer. Are you being honest about what treatments or chemicals you may or have added to your hair before your visit? Are you clearly communicating what you want and carefully listening to the stylist? Do you have realistic expectations? Also, like all good salons, if you're not happy they will rectify the error or issue. Case in point- I had an updo that I wasn't thrilled with- said something, and they re-did it no problem. The ladies there are super nice, they ARE trained and they DO continue their training. Give New Outlooks a try, I think you'll be pleased!
