I've been getting my hair cut by debbie since I was a kid. I did try out some other salons as I got older but with much regret. I've never really had to wait too long (maybe 15 at most ) but I guess that is all in the timing. I usually get a trim for about $25. I ALWAYS WALK OUT HAPPY! I'm planning to go for a perm soon for the summer :) I did go back and got that perm, yay! I was very happy with it. :) with my stubborn hair, it lasted about 8 months but I think it was worth it. -still a loyal happy customer btw: Helps any hair stylist to have a picture of what you want!! they are not psychic! read more

Debbie does a phenomenal job! I went in after reading reviews and got layers done and I must say, I agree with them all! Debbie cut my hair with such ease and precision, and at the same time was very meticulous! She is also very sweet and sociable, which combined makes her an awesome hair dresser. I would highly recommend her! read more

Salon Rumors - Got layers done and Debbie added some curls/waves. Loved what she did!! Highly recommend her! - Hair Salons Near Me - Walnut, California

Wow. My friend's first pixie cut! wow. Speechless!!! Thank you so much Debbie!!! I love you.

I was somewhat skeptical about coming here because all of the reviews are from females, and cutting a male's hair requires a different skill set. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the talent that Debbie has. She did an excellent job with my hair. Further, she keeps her shop clean and she was very friendly. I would highly recommend her. read more

I've been here 3 times already. This place is really close to my work so when I need a hair cut, I just take a slightly longer lunch. Extremely convenient for me. Debbie is pretty great. I've previously had a hair stylist who's been cutting my hair for 14 years. He's amazing but he works really odd hours and he's a bit temperamental at times. When he gets it right, my hair looks fantastic, but when he's in a bad mood, eh, it's tolerable. But with Debbie, I find that her amazingness is very consistent. I like that I could count on looking good after all my haircuts. I really don't have anything bad to say about this place. Debbie always give me really good tips on how to take care of my hair and she doesn't try to blow dry my hair all fancy and super curly. I've definitely found my new hair place and I'm even taking my hubby there this weekend. Yay new clients! read more

came in almost as a walk in Wanted to dye my hair showed them many pictures of what I wanted and chose the best way not to kill my hair!! as it grows out I think it's getting prettier as well. They are super nice and was willing to stay an hour after closing time to curl my hair read more

Worst experience ever. I don't know if you are trying your best, but the hairstyle I got is for senior for sure, like back to 80s. It's totally different with the picture I show you. Do you know how much I trusted you? I couldn't fall asleep the whole night. Now I can't do any thing to fix it because it's too short! Extremely painful heart! I should read all the reviews before I go! read more

Debbie is great! She takes her time to give you the best care and style! Debbie uses techniques that produce great results. You really leave this place like you've been to the salon-you see results. Often, you pay lots, and don't notice a difference or go home to redo the style etc. With Debbie, others will notice your redo. Thanks Debbie for the great service and flexibility in booking an appt. read more

The results were amazing! THANK YOU DEBBIE! Debbie not only was able to replicate my reference photo but she completely rocked it. I've never come across a stylist that was able to cut my hair in a way that even without hair product it looks presentable. If you know me, then you know I have thick and dry hair that is almost fro like without product. For years, I thought my hair required hair product to be presentable. Until now thanks to Debbie's hair cutting skills. Thankfully I found Debbie out of necessity. My hair stylist for more than 15 plus years is too far and to add I no longer have a "friend" rate. I only planned to go to my old stylist for special occasions but that's no longer necessary. I am so happy I found a new stylist that has the skills, close by and affordable. I'll be sharing some photos of my hair soon that will be my new reference photos. read more

Hands down the best haircut I've had. I absolutely love it, makes me feel so fresh! Haha will always come here 100%!!

Love my new hair! Thank you, Debbie! I came in with a picture of the cut, and my hair turned out exactly as I wanted. Debbie was really communicative and meticulous during the haircut and made adjustments for my fine hair to give it more volume. read more

It's my second time to be here, last time I got a hair trim and this time I finished a keratin treatment, Debbie and the other Korean lady are pretty patient and friendly! And when I wanna know the difference between keratin treatment and Brazilian blowout, Debbie explained to me patiently and give me a good treatment for $200~ and I could feel my hair texture is completely different after it so definitely recommend this to someone who has dry hair like me read more

Salon Rumors - Hair Salons Near Me - Walnut, California

The list of services this salon provides according to it's list is "kids cut". I called the salon in advance to inquire and they confirmed they can do kids cut (3yro). I made an appointment and showed up 10 mins before. As soon as you walk-in you're hit with strong hair chemical scent (which is understandable for adult salons), but the smell was really unpleasant for the kids. When we got my son seated on a salon chair propped up by a step stool, the lady asked me what number I wanted the cut. I told her I want the sides shorter and the top longer, but I said let's start with a high number and then we can go shorter if necessary (not an unusual request as most salons do this especially for kids - and this was not our first time)This is where things went downhill. She said I needed to decide on a number now and it can't be changed once she starts. Her claim was because kids move too much. Of course kids move. It was pretty obvious she didn't want to do a kids cut because she was brushing his hair so aggressively! Which irritated me and my son. We decided to leave and go to a place that can actually cater to kids. I would have been perfectly happy if she would have just said we don't do toddler age kids cut or if you have specific requirements when we spoke on the phone. read more

I started going to Debbie due to a recommendation from a friend. I wanted to get a perm and didnt want to go to just any salon because i knew that only certain salons was able to get the kind of wave I wanted. After showing her some pictures of what I wanted, Debbie went to work and the end result was fabulous! It did take at least 3 hours to have my hair done because she was so busy but I went with a girlfriend so she got her hair straightened while I got it permed. Debbie was so quick and even though she was extremely busy, she was able to get to everyone in a timely manner. I have since gone back to her 2 other times to get my perm touched up and maintained and each time, I leave there very happy. You can tell Debbie knows what shes doing and I wouldnt go anywhere else. The pricing is also affordable and it always ends up wonderful. read more

Absolutely LOVE this place. I come back for my Straight Perm 2x a year! The owner is amazing.

I love how they cut my hair. During my first visit, it was Debbie who did it. Last week, I went there and Ginny did it. I love how she cut and put volume to my hair. I'm not afraid to cut my hair short anymore because of them! read more

I just got a keratin treatment and changed my hair color. Debbie is the first person that I can truly say that I completely trust with my hair. I have curly hair and I am very picky. She knew exactly what I wanted and didn't disappoint. I would highly recommend. read more

This is the only place I get my hair cut because of one very special person who works there and her name is JINI :D She has been cutting my hair for the past 5 years. I always go in between Thursdays and Sundays, everyone who works there is extremely nice especially the owner Debbie. She always says hello with a genuine smile and thanks you when you leave. But yes Jini Jini Jini thank you for always doing a great job on my hair. I also had my eyebrows threaded for the first time there for 7 bucks which i did after being persuaded by Jini haha. The person threaded my eyebrows did a good job however I didn't feel very manly from doing it so it was a one time thing for me, but I would definitely recommend it for anyone else who would consider getting their eyebrows threaded. All in all I give Salon Rumors full stars for their quality and service they provide. read more

I went to get a hair cut on 4/20/12 and was pleased to know that Debbie has been making more of an effort to stick to exact appointment times which I am glad about. I've been getting my hair cut by Debbie since I was a child! She's been cutting my families hair for over 10 years now and I must say, she gets the job done! Not only does she know what she's doing but if she feels something else would better suite your face she'll suggest it to you which shows how much she cares!! : ) Believe me, my family has done it all, cuts, perms, colors, etc and for the most part have loved it! She's a hardworking woman and deserves her credit for the amazing cuts and colors she gives! : ) read more

Much Much Much improved! They must be reading the yelp comments because the service level improved greatly.

ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS PLACE! If i could i would give this place ZERO stars. I told Debbie that i wanted a V shaped hair because my previous hair salon (ulta in city of industry) messed up my hair. I provided her with a picture and told her SPECIFICALLY that i want it short on my shoulder like the picture. She did not listen to me and gave me a horrible hair cut and i am forced to wear a bun or a braid until it grows out. Even tho Debbie was nice and friendly she could not follow my instructions and ruined my hair even more. They charged me $40 too. read more

It's nice to always have the same dependable stylist to cut my hair. With my years of coming here, I tend to bump into familiar customers and friends that have their loyalty to Debbie. She's quick and fair, if not cheap with her prices and often willing to fit you into her busy schedule! read more

Debbie is amazing! Getting my hair cut always makes me nervous because not a lot of people seem to be very comfortable cutting guys' hair. Debbie knows what she's doing though, and now I'm thrilled to say that I know where I'll be getting my hair cut from now on. Plus, the prices at Rumors are really, really good. read more

I had been having this urge to chop my hair off again after growing it because I had been using box dyes to darken it and bleach prior. As I was exiting my college, Mount Sac I started to google hair salons and this salon was the first that appeared so I crossed the street and walked in. All the ladies greeted me and I showed a lady that was new what I wanted. It was a pixie cut and she did more than enough to make it look exactly like the photo. I'm in bed now but I'm picky and allowing not my usual stylist to touch it says a lot about this salon. My only issue is that I wish they organized their interior. Other than that it's a hidden gem and will come back for the highlights I wanted as well! read more

I colored my hair but I was worried because I had my hair ombred previously and so I was scared that I would still have that gradual three tone but they were able to dye my hair to one color. They also cut your hair exactly the way that you want them to. I have a hard time trusting cutting my hair but I go to them with no doubt read more

I really needed a drastic change. Debbie is amazing. I brought in a few pictures of a pixie cut. She adjusted the length a bit so it brought out my best features, gave me a few tips on how to care & style it, and charged me a very reasonable price. I have had the cut a week. Every day I have had compliments from people who have said that a) the cut looks great, b) the color is very nice, and c) hairstylists have commented on how well-done the cut itself is! As promised, the cut is very easy to style. I have become a committed customer and recommend her highly to everyone I know. read more

Worse place ever! I will ever never visit again! Omg I couldn't believe how rude they are. Debbie cut my hair yesterday and it came out so wrong. I have long hair. She made my hair look ugly. Bad manner bad service I ever had. Please do not go! You will be regret~ read more

Debbie cuts my daughters hairs for the first time. I really like it. We are definitely coming back.

Awesome service! Miss Debbie consistently has extended her hand in a time of need. If you walk in she try's her best in squeezing you in for simple cuts. If your a female or have long hair and need a lot of management with it, you'll probably want to make an appointment. This place is a little pricey even for guys hair but I also haven't found a barber or salon in the area who can cut my hair properly. And for men the price is 15$ per cut because they wash your hair before and after your cut here. Check her out. read more

WORST HAIR SALON EVER! do not go to her if you are a girl ! I paid 300 for hair straightening and a haircut and i came out with still curly hair and an uneven haircut! During the treatment I had to blow dry my own hair. and on top of it when i asked Debbie for a hair cut i came out with one side longer than the other. PLUS my hair is still curly even after the straightening which usually never happens. She does not care about her customers, all she cares about is making money. I highly discourage anyone, especially girls, from going here. She is incredibly rude the only nice employee in there is her assistant. Even if you make an appointment I guarantee she will not be working on your hair herself. No wonder all the koreans in walnut talk badly about her. read more

I came here twice to get my eyebrows done. The first time the lady dd a great job and my eyebrows were evened and neither too thin nor too thick. The second time my eyebrows are overplucked.
