My Chorkie (chihuahua/yorkie mix) is not friendly with groomers or vets (only us!) It took me a couple of phone conversations with Sylvie to get my nerve up and drop off my baby. She was great with her! Of course my sweetie growled and tried to bite the groomer, but Sylvie was very calm, sat on the floor and spoke to my baby. She started to gain her trust and pet her and the aggressive behavior stopped! I felt comfortable that she was in the right place full of love and was not going to be mishandled. I got updates and photos from Sylvie during the process and couldn't believe my eyes! My baby was actually calm and let Sylvie do her grooming magic and transformed her from a scruffy puppy into a sleek sophisticated fancy pet:) I highly recommend this groomer. I'm on a visit from NYC with my cali/NYC dog. Was so slammed traveling that it wasn't until I landed at Canyon Ranch that I was able to get my BFF pup, Mr. Ravioli (rescue red sabel pomeranian I found under freeway), some proper tlc. I usually groom Ravioli 1/month & I keep him cut like a fox. I let his coat grow out since we were on East coast & he needed the protection. I'm giving this business 5 stars because it's obvious from my experience that they are dependable as a routine groomer as well as they really know how to cater to the local demand which has to be touristy. Canyon ranch is a beach resort/healthy living spa etc so folks wanna feel pampered & have their dogs feel that way too! I'm pretty indulgent because my dog puts up with a lot & when I have the opportunity i splurge. The staff were understanding when I walked in 15-20 mins late (partly because a treatment went over time & because I'm not familiar with area). They had an AMAZING store, full of hand picked items fro. Europe...very cozy but upscale. You could tell that the owner, a french woman, loves what she does & loves dogs. She was very warm & sweet to ravioli & listened to my diatribe about his particulars even though it was probably unnecessary. I got to meet groomer. Only spoke for a second & I'm not really picky about specifics-I just had fun picking out all the funny fancy add-ons like a mineral soak & a paw buffering etc. Seriously, I've never seen his paws look more perfect. His cut is perfect. I didn't even know I wanted that haircut! I left it up to groomer on some of the details. They do delivery one way or round trip. The cost is reasonable. I spent about $90 on a full cut and wash & detangler & another $50 on other services. Also, they spent the entire day with him! Totally impressed! Will definitely be back. And to use their daycare. Couldn't be happier. read more

First off, it's really hard to find a good groomer in Miami area...a lot of places only offer one cut fits all services and I'm not fond of that. EnterSalon Poochini to save the day. Not only are they friendly and knowledgeable they allow the doggies to run around free opposed to be kenneled all day while they wait to be groomed or picked up. Our Westie went in looking like a homeless puppy and came out a superstar. She didn't get antsy or nervous when we took her in as she has with other groomers. I'm so pleased with their services and look forward to taking our Westie back frequently. Side note: they also offer teeth cleaning services that do not require anesthesia, WINNER! They did a great job servicing Cookie's teeth and are VERY reasonably priced. Leaving my dog here for grooming always fEels like I'm leaving her with family. They care so much about our furry children. They already know what cut I want on my Maltese, so I never even have to explain. They are very accommodating. And I love that they have some pups just running around free in the shop. read more

The salon was awesome until owners change, for some reason my dog doesn't want to go there anymore, right now we hire a Mobil pet grooming that take care of our dog in our own house, we can stay with them while they are working, leash free and the best thing our dog love them, the price is cheaper, so everybody is happier read more

A few weeks ago I took my Bernese Mountain Dog to Salon Poochini and was really happy with the experience. I chose this groomer last minute because I needed to get my dog bathed just a few days before Christmas and the salons close to my home were booked for weeks. I had never tried them before since I live a bit far from here but luckily they they did a wonderful job with her. She came out perfectly clean and nicely trimmed. This sounds easy enough but my dog is huge so I was pretty impressed considering they took her on such short notice during a very busy day. The best part was that they were reasonably priced and very sweet to my dog. I'd certainly recommend this groomer to a friend. read more

I am relatively new to Miami Beach and got a little french bulldog puppy 6 months ago. Since he doesn't like me cutting his nails, I've had to seek out the help from pet groomers. After calling and getting no answer from some, and others not being very customer-focused, I decided to try a new one. After identifying Salon Poochini on Yelp, I called right away and spoke to Silvi. She was very pleasant and professional on the phone. I knew she was busy since I could hear dogs barking in the background, but she took the time to patiently answer my questions. She was also very generous to allow me to take my little Max in the next day to get his nails cut. I took him in early this afternoon. I was very impressed with how all of the ladies seemed so happy taking care of so many dogs. They allowed the dogs they had completed grooming, to roam the room together which I really liked. It's like doggy daycare and play for dogs instead of being locked up. There were also little pooches sitting under hair dryers that was so cute. I will be taking Max here from now on. I had a very good feeling about this place too, which I never had in the other places. There was just something about them that I didn't trust. Here, I really felt that I could trust anyone with my Max. The price is good, and the location is perfect, since I just live on Collins Avenue. Outstanding!!! Olga is a fabulous groomer who is also wonderful with dogs. My cavapoo puppy has never looked better. I had some trepidation in going to Salon Poochini, thinking it would never be as good as her grooming in NYC...needless to say, thankfully, I was wrong..it exceeded all expectations, my dog looks amazing. Took my 9 year old salt and pepper mini schnauzer to this salon and I couldn't be happier with the experience and the special treatment to my dog. I had a bad experience at Petco Biscayne where they shaved my dog from head to toe including her mustache because to them that was the schnauzer cut (wrong! I was very disappointed and still had to pay $78 to them) After reading great reviews about Salon Poohicni I decided to give it a try. The salon is small; however, that was not an issue because they are a cage-free salon so the dogs had plenty of space to run around and play with each other. My dog was with other 4 dogs and they got along with no problem. The staff is wonderful, very professional and great listeners. I showed them pictures of how I want it, told them specific instructions and they did everything to perfection. I'm very pleased and happy. My dog was there for a couple of hours (which is was perfect for me bc I had errands to run) and she looked happy and clean. I will definitely make them my permanent salon! Good job guys!!!
