I'm extremely disappointed with our experience and feel other dog owners should be aware. We brought our healthy toy Cavapoo in for grooming after calling ahead about timing. I was told it would take about 1-2 hours, so I planned my day around that. After waiting the full time, I had to call them because no one contacted me, only to be told I'd need to wait another hour on top of what I was originally told. The lack of communication and misleading time estimate was frustrating and unprofessional. The bigger issues came after. Shortly after the visit, my dog developed kennel cough and was sick for nearly three weeks -- coughing, uncomfortable, and clearly miserable. She had not been around other dogs prior to this appointment. We also noticed immediate coat damage. Her fur texture changed completely -- it became rough, wiry, and dry instead of soft like it had always been. The coat was also discolored only at the tips while the roots remained normal, which points to product or heat damage during grooming. This was not a gradual genetic change; it happened right after her appointment. So in one visit we experienced: * Poor communication and inaccurate timing * A dog that became sick * Visible coat damage that will take months to grow out We trusted this place with our dog's health and deeply regret it. Grooming should never result in a dog leaving sick and physically affected like this. Pet owners, please be cautious. read more

Karla, You are incorrect. You declined the $50 credit when I tried to apply it to a grooming session. You are outright LYING. To make it right you would need to refund me that money that you overcharged me and not DEMAND that it be applied to a service I was not intending to re-book. In addition, the dog's ear was not "nicked", it was SLICED and the vet was unable to rectify the situation without anesthesia due to the pain my dog had when trying to remove the hair from the laceration. I understand you trying to minimize this to not look bad to other dog owners, but in my 30 years of owning dogs and bringing them to groomers, this has NEVER happened to me and I have never been robbed of my money like this. read more

I had a 1:00 appt for my dog grooming (bath and haircut). I dropped my dog off at 12:45. My dog gets very anxious when at the Dr or groomer. I was told it would be about 2 hours. I returned at 3:20 and was told that my dog had just been bathed and it would be an additional 2 hours!! And instead of being apologetic they tried to blame the holidays and said they were busy! REAL business owners would own responsibility!! They even had the nerve to charge me for the bath knowing how upset we were. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

The owner is truly wonderful. There's no caging--your dog gets to roam freely . Zuki was so calm and relaxed after her first grooming session; I was both shocked and relieved . I highly recommend them. As a new (and very overprotective) puppy mom, they made me feel completely at ease and confident that my baby was in good hands. read more

Oceanside Pet Spaw is directly responsible for the tragic death of my dog, Hershey, and the way they have handled this situation is absolutely appalling. If they were truly saddened by his passing, why did it take a full week for them to respond to my review with inaccurate and misleading information? The cameras clearly show that at 9:19 AM, the person who was bathing and drying my dog casually walked him to the front of the grooming area, placing him on the floor knowing he was already unconscious, wasting valuable time that could have been used to attempt resuscitation. It wasn't until a whole minute later, at 9:20 AM, that they began performing an untrained form of CPR, which, as the video shows, was ineffective and continued for over three minutes. At no point did the receptionist call me immediately after this happened, which is standard protocol when an emergency occurs. If they truly didn't know what they were doing, they should have rushed my dog to the hospital right away. Instead, they've attempted to blame his death on a supposed pre-existing heart condition and tracheal collapse from an x-ray, but conveniently ignored key facts. The doctor herself admitted that the cause of death was undetermined at the time, and failed to mention that the x-ray also showed a life-threatening condition called GDV (gastric dilatation-volvulus), which can be caused by stress and can obstruct blood flow to the heart, leading to cardiac issues. My dog's stress at their facility was evident; he defecated himself due to the immense distress caused by the dryer, which they continued to use until he had an accident. If they had been paying attention and listened to me when I explained that he didn't like the dryer, maybe this could have been avoided. My dog had no history of heart problems, was not on medication, and was always meticulously cared for by me, as evidenced by recent x-rays I had taken and reviewed by a specialist. Additionally, the video footage shows there was no urgency when they should have been rushing to save him. Instead, they were putting sugar in his mouth as though he were diabetic. By the time they finally took him to the hospital, he was already gone, and when I arrived, it was clear that no proper resuscitation efforts had been made--no atropine, no epinephrine, and no oxygen equipment in sight. My dog was dead on the table, his tongue purple. Hershey was my best friend, and I will never forgive myself for trusting his care to Oceanside Pet Spaw. But I will ensure everyone knows the truth about what happened that day. Please look at the time stamps and tell me how this was urgent. Attached is the xray taken after he passed showing the bloat and attached is also his x ray result from the cardiologist in December 2024. read more

The little ones needed a grooming and I dropped them off around 10am on Saturday... 5/5 Pet Grooming $60.00 When I picked them up around 6pm, they were done up as usual...all dolled up, cleaned cut and smelling really fresh. The owner treats your 4 legged family members like they're hers, with so much love. I ask for them to be hand cut rather than shaved with a hair shaver; it's better for their hair growth. This place may be a few dollars more, but there's no price you can put on how your family member is treated and how they look when you pick them up. 5/5 Service here can't be duplicated at another place, trust me on this as you won't find a nicer, better place with the kindest hands that you would trust your own child with. Highly recommend this place for pet grooming; once you try them out one time, you'll won't go anywhere else. read more

Very friendly and welcoming! They do a great job at grooming my dog! Highly recommend Oceanside Pet Spaw!

Vilma and her brother have a excellent bond with my senior dog Joey. I have never left him in hands outside of family but after doing my research I knew Oceanside Pet Spaw would be my best choice. The care and Love she puts in to caring for my baby is as if he was her own. She cares for him in every way and treats him like a prince. Vilma is flexible when I need to pick him up and accommodates my busy schedule. She sends pictures and videos while I'm gone and it assured me he's comfortable. Spending time cageless with other doggies keeps him busy and keeps him occupied. Lol I cannot recommend any one else for her cageless boarding, Joey always comes home better then I left him, cut nails, bathed, clean and happy. Vilma is the only person I trust with my pupperoini! read more

The people are good, but BEWARE - you MUST sign a contract including paragraph 19, the Pet Owner's COMPLETE RELEASE OF LIABILITY. including "any negligence" of the business, INCLUDING "any injury, damage or the death of the Canine while under the care" of Oceanside Pet Spaw !! Good luck with that! They could negligently INJURE, DAMAGE, OR KILL your dog, but you, the owner, assume the risk. Personally, I would never sign such a contract with anybody caring for my animal. As I said, the people are nice, but you must sign their contract and take your chances. read more

I called in Saturday morning because I wasn't able to get a hold of my usual groomer for weeks and when I spoke to the man that answered I asked if there was availability for that day. He assured me if I took my pup at 5 (to be picked up at 6) they'd be able to take her. When I showed up hours later they had closed if they can't keep they word I'm sure they're service is not the best. NOT cool to lie read more

Wonderful wonderful place! The treatment was amazing! I have a puppy GSD and she is still not the best at handling to be groomed but they took care of her and left her gorgeous! The staff is really nice. They showed me the products they were using on my dog and walked me through the process she was going to go through. After she was done, I received a picture of my puppy all polished and with a cute holiday bandana. I really recommend it! read more

Very nice staff & service. My dogs loves it here! Would recommend to others :) the owner is the sweetest

Awesome place to bring your dog. Great ownership, location, and service. My yellow lab, Polo has horrible separation anxiety and has a bad leg, so naturally I am very reluctant to bring him to new places, but they treat him so well, that he doesn't even mind. He can be a handful, but Vilma was super patient with him. They do an amazing job of washing him as well! Top notch service and location that I would highly recommend to anyone. It's also extremely clean, which is much appreciated! read more

Found Oceanside on Yelp and drive here because it's a 20 review 5 star business. AND it shows. My french bulldog has never looked happier or more clean. I live in New York so I've started timing his grooming with our flights down to Florida. Malvo comes out smelling like a champion (a champion who has just taken a bath, not gone 12 rounds, which is how he smelled before he arrived). $45 for the magic. read more

We've brought our two dogs here three times to be groomed. The owner is very nice and you can tell that she really puts her heart into what she does. The only negative is that sometimes it can take a long time for her to groom the dogs so they end up waiting for many hours. The end product is always great though, and prices are very reasonable. Will continue to bring our dogs here. read more

I am so very happy with Vilma and Oceanside Pet Spaw. I was highly recommended to her for grooming my two 8 year old poodles after my other groomer just closed down with no notice. She did an amazing job on grooming my sweet poodle boys. They came home happy and healthy. I recommend her and her shop to all who needs a professional Groomer who is loving to your doggies. Now I'm taking them back for teeth cleaning this week. Her prices are very good and I will tell all my friends about Oceanside Pet Spaw. read more

Brought my dog here early Saturday morning. He was so well taken care of. I did not get her name, but the woman at the front desk was very nice and pleasant. I took my adorably shaggy terrier (think Toto from Wizard of Oz) for a "bath only; no hair cut"(written instructions) today. It was 10 AM and Vilma was still not there, even though I was told to bring him between 9 and 12. Vilma's brother said she would call when he was done. By 3:15, after no call, I was concerned and called. I was told in a very rudely stern voice, which I believe to be Vilma's, that "I texted you a long time ago." The phone # that I left was not able to receive text messages...I was told that she would CALL. As soon as I entered and asked for my dog, Vilma's brother came out from the back room and said "We made a mistake. I confused him with another dog and we shaved him. But we won't charge you." Yes, they SHAVED him! A Cairn Terrier mix with a double coat! He now has less than 3/8" of fur all over him except what is left of his eye brows, a small mustache, and a ridiculous looking "tuft" on the end of his otherwise naked tail. It will likely take several years, if ever, for his fur to grow out to normal. These people are not professional. Dogs should be "groomed to breed" unless the owner tells the groomer directly to do otherwise. Even then, the expected results should be discussed between the owner and groomer. It is a sign of incompetence for such a mistake to be made. Yes, I have also made mistakes....the biggest was taking my pet to Oceanside Pet Spaw! read more

Visited for the 1st time today and brought my teacup Yorkie. Called 1st thing in the morning and Vilma answered and accommodated us immediately. I took my Barbie in and the place is extremely clean, looks new and staff very friendly. Came into town for a weekend vacation and my pup desperately needed a summer cut. Groomers back home in NC are awful honestly and somehow stay booked. I took the risk to come to Miami without her groomed thinking i would find more options here. I was just about to give up hope until i called Oceanside.
