Will not be coming here again.... We came by on a Sunday afternoon for a haircut. The salon was nearly empty, with the stylist sitting around. The moment we stepped in, the receptionist immediately yelled "THE DANCE STUDIO IS AROUND THE BACK!!" gesticulating wildly with his arm. When I said we were actually here for a haircut, the receptionist said okay, turned back to his casual phone call, and stopped acknowledging us....? Not a glance our way. We had to stand around for a few minutes before the hairsweeper came by to ask if we had an appointment. When we said no but we just wanted to ask about a haircut, we were again just left to stand by a receptionist that had only said (yelled) seven words to us. No acknowledgment by anybody else. I must emphasize -- we would have been happy to wait! After all, we didn't have an appointment. Even a "just sit while I handle this call" or "sorry, we're not taking walk-ins" would have been splendid. But the lack of acknowledgment that we even existed as customers in the salon was something I'd never experienced. I won't immediately conclude that this was racially charged (though an Asian woman in a mask getting openly ignored by the reception felt a little -too- close to the opening scene of Crazy Rich Asians for comfort). But even if it wasn't, the service was curt, barely existent, and very odd. After some time of nobody telling us to "sit and wait" or anything, we said goodbye to the receptionist and left. The receptionist did not say goodbye back. So weird. The stylist did not look up the entire time. Honestly very confused by this visit. Is the salon trying to seem selective and snooty..? There were zero customers and there were still two hours to closing. Went to an adjacent salon and got the haircut I wanted. So weird. read more

I picked Salon O because of its convenient location and Yelp reviews. I had my haircut with Albert and he did a great job. I went to schedule a second appointment and found out that he is no longer at Salon O. I decided to go with Corinna since I've seen her giving other girls with long hair layered cuts. The salon accidentally booked me with Kaitlyn and I had to reschedule another appointment with Corinna. Overall, I felt the salon was clean, prices are a little higher than other places, but you can leave feeling refreshed and not worry about someone messing up your hair. I hope in the future Salon O can text appointment reminders with the stylist's name listed so there's less wasted time or misunderstandings. read more

This is a pretty nice, upscale salon in Woodbury, and the prices reflect that. It's beautifully decorated with glass chandeliers and lots of white marble. I made an afternoon appointment on a Friday and was promptly shown to my hair washer, who did a thorough job. Tracy then cut layers into my hair. Taking her time and making sure it was even and the layers properly framed my face. Then she expertly added my extensions in, knowing exactly where to tease and where to lightly brush my hair into place and then curled it. I was happy because she did exactly as I'd asked, just wished that there had been a bit more volume as my hair did fall flatter later in the day (got my hair done at 1 pm and my party was 7 pm ... so I guess it's understandable). read more

I went back for magic sleek treatment on July 27th. I couldn't leave a review before because of a family emergency. This was my 3rd time going & I know they must have changed the product they used. My hair was bright yellow and it didn't control my frizz at all. I had to use color wow to manage it. I'm furious. To spend that much and have a horrible outcome is outrageous. Everyone seems to be controlling costs because of the business they lost during Covid. But to use a different product on a client that gave rave reviews before is unacceptable. I even called right before my appointment since it was freezing outside and my car wouldn't start and they pushed it an hour later. Everyone in the salon was super nice! The salon has tall ceiling with a chandelier. It is bright and beautiful! The offer you a beverage of choice so I had white wine... Nothing wrong with that ! I came here for a consult with Naina to see what appointment to book. I was informed that her schedule was booked and the next appointment would be in November. I was willing to wait but they got a cancellation while I was there and I took it! I'm so happy I found this salon. It's clean and I can't say enough of how amazing Naina is. She was loud and very intense during the quick consult and basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about in regards to how to cut my hair. I recently moved from NYC where I frequently went to Warren Tricomi and Butterfly Studio - 2 top notch salons who never made the crazy suggestions she had. I was desperate since I am about to go on a long trip and finally said let's go with long layers to play it safe. I go to get my hair washed and realized I forgot my phone. It always takes a few cuts for a stylist to learn your hair and this was amazingly good. I am now a regular. BTW, the blowout was amazing! First visit - I was impressed with the volume of highly positive reviews, especially for Brian and his curly haired clients. They were quite right. I have long shoulder length fine soft curls that needed a boost. His trim and layering were perfect, as was styling advice he gave during the cut and dry. I'm so glad that I took the chance because this is one of the most talented women I have ever met! She didn't start chopping my hair like most hairdressers, she cut little bits at a time and asked me if I wanted to cut more. I felt so comfortable and at ease with her. I called Angela at Salon O to see if she could save my hair and my sanity (I saw her Instagram photos and new she was the one who could fix this mess). They rushed me out with my root touch up, with color dropping through my neck to shirt. Even the wash was done poorly. Oh how terrible can some one be with their quality to work. I haven't gotten my hair cut in over a year and haven't gotten it colored in about twice as long. The staff was amazing. I had ombre color put into my hair and it looks absolutely FANTASTIC! I can't say enough how pleased I was with the level of care and service at this salon. Everyone was incredibly pleasant and professional.
