I came in to get my brown hair to platinum... The lady who did it had an attitude about what I wanted which made me uncomfortable. I specifically told her I wanted my hair extremely blonde almost white. So throughout the hair process I was just praying the end result will be amazing, but paying $120 for my hair to be platinum, i came out with dirty blonde highlights and i'm not happy at all with it. I'm just extremely disappointed and now i'm going to be doing my own hair the way I wanted it from the beginning.

Worst salon experience EVER. Hair was butchered TWICE in maybe a week, and i was threatened with…read morepolice by the owner. If you're blonde, or light DO NOT go to Jenny or Lily. i came into the salon to get my medium brown roots touched up to match my platinum blonde hair. I had an appointment with Lily and left with yellow, uneven roots, and pretty intense banding especially around my hairline. I then contacted the salon by phone and had no response for 3 phone calls. I live nearby so i drove over. I definitely was upset and had an attitude but even from the start i was just trying to kinda laugh through it and i had a very aggressive worker named i believe John (who is not a colorist) continuously tell me me what my hair needs, as well as say to me "they aren't just gonna give you a refund because you don't like your hair now." and after some choice words on both ends i was told to not come back. I then left obviously, got a text from Jenny to fix it (even though i just wanted a refund) and came in the next day to fix it. Jenny did a much better job, but not a good one. The color i was left with was this pastel yellow roots and banding, as well as uneven from front to back. I do also believe my hair was styled to conceal the banding and unevenness. I texted and called to no response for days. I bought a red ken purple shampoo and conditioner (which i was also later recommended to get a purple shampoo to "fix the fixed hair" and the shampoo definitely didn't take well to the roots, obviously not their fault, but you can visibly see the levels of blonde are different (rest of photos) especially towards and front and sideburns. the salon was closed until tuesday (it's currently thursday) and after calling yesterday 10 times due to no one responding to a single call or text message, as well as the door being locked at 11am when they are open from 10-5 with no explanation. (i believe the number is automated for texts) I finally got a call back today where i was told i could either have them tone it, dye my roots back to my brown color also done by them, or i could essentially just forget about it. I was also told by the owner that I was harassing them, and that a police officer client was there while i was calling (yet they still couldn't answer) and told them it was harassment. So not only essentially threatening me with that, saying they had it all on cameras and body also felt like a threat so now i can't go back in the owner also blurted out she'd refund only my tip and then she hung up on me and refused to answer the phone afterwards. I was beyond willing to work with them, and even gave them a second chance but why would i go back to have them fix it when they've screwed it up 2 times?? BEYONDDDDD unprofessional.

I made my appointment online through the style app which was convenient for a mom on the go chasing 3 boys all over the place. I scheduled to have my hair cut and colored by Joy. I've heard great things so I was excited for the day of my appointment. The parking lot is small but it has plenty of parking so no need to worry there. Joy greeted me as soon as I walked in. I tried to explain what I wanted my hair to look like, a task that's harder then you would think. She got it and OMG did my hair look amazing. My total came to $104 which was not a bad price for all that had to be done. I think I've found my new hair salon. If you make an appointment tell them Jen W sent you!

My previous stylist wrote out my formula which I provided to the stylist at Roots during a consultation where I was assured that they could keep my hair consistent with what my previous stylist had done. Despite the fact that they had the formula, they took (what i percieved to be) short cuts to get me in and out faster (I have a fashion color and while I know its time consuming to do it right, I'm paying upwards of $200 to come to you, if you don't want to take the time to do what the formula is explicitly explaining for you to do, then cool, let me know that and we'll part ways on good terms). I gave them chance after chance to get it right but it became clear it wasn't going to happen. At one point a darker color was put on my roots without okaying it with me first (i absolutely did not want that), another time my roots were made even lighter than the rest of my hair, effectively giving me hot roots. I eventually gave up and went to a new stylist/salon, gave her the same formula from my original stylist and my hair came out like it always used to before going to Roots. I'm more than willing to work with a stylist to fine tune things but it was clear that they either didn't understand how to work with the color or were just set on taking short cuts to save on time, which is fine, but then the service is not going to be worth the amount of money your asking me to pay.
